Walmart Supercentre

This is one of two so-called supercenter stores in my area. Very poorly run. I check stock on items regularly and each time I visit is more disappointing than the last. This time I went in to check stock after the New year and Boxing day sales. It looks like they put stock on the shelves after the sales were over and staff couldn't be bothered to put the items anywhere near where they were tagged on the shelves. So know how much an item is before getting to the till is near impossible since they removed the price check scanners. Only facing the products so that the shelves looked organized and full. Well they were far from organized or well stocked. I blame Walmart before I blame the suppliers because it is Walmart who needs to place the orders for restock. And prices not only seem to be going up. But they are gouging like all the other retailers. Sad reality in today's economy. Retailers are out of touch with any idea of "small profit is still profit"
If you continue to raise prices you will be stuck with stock that doesn't sell.

It’s a nice spacious location and they have variety options but I’m not sure why the employees are snappy whenever you ask them for something. (?)

Always so busy and hard to find parking and lineups are very long. Should make an express line because so many people buying 1 item and waiting forever in the line. Store is very messy with tons of homeless people around. And the pharmacist customer service is the WORST I’ve EVER experienced.

I'm giving them a 4 star rating because they always have the only formula my baby will take. They also aren't in the business of gouging you double for it like some Amazon vendors when there is a shortage.
I don't even like coming to Walmart typically but for baby formula they are reliable and fair priced.

I feel for all the families living through this shortage, I'm lucky I can find it anywhere.

Kabir and Shruti the cashiers there at the self checkout counter were very unprofessional, and extremely rude. Kabir doesnt know to deal with customers.

Besides stock being poorly maintained at all times, there are never enough self checkout machines open during peak hours. Please open more registers!

Cashier didnt even say Hello, on his phone. Store looked dirty and felt very uncomfortable in the store due to theft i saw and many sketchy people (around the 8-9pm time stamp), didnt feel welcome at all

Pretty awful walmart. Always running out of stuff, products with mismatching pricing on the shelves, rotten produce and just always seems dirty. The staff do their best to help, but the problem might be bad management. You'd expect low quality from Walmart, but this one manages to be even worse than usual.

Worst walmart.cashiers r so lost they don't know how yo charge customers when I confronted them she just gave me a excuse. Always overcharge me particular girl cashier simrat something. Worst customer service. Charging 5 dollars for 3 dollar tomatoes just so lame n frustrating

Worst walmart I've ever seen.
I have traveled accross Canada, and many road trips to the US.
You stop by quite a few Walmarts on these trips, this one has to be the worst of them.
Dim lighting, smelly and overcrowded, plus the escalator was broken causing a five minute wait to get upstairs to the rest of the store.
They do have a great selection of cheap small appliances, however lacking alot of the inventory you would take for granted in most Walmarts.

This store is racially profiling people that doesn't belong to their community and that includes the ASM. They need to hire diverse team, don't know where the staff disappears when we need them the most. The shelves are all empty and un-organized, staff is busy chatting with their friends. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED.

Wish I could give less stars. Hands down the worst example of customer service I have ever seen. Ask how much something is? Told to take a picture and price scan at self checkout yourself. Ask for a locked cabinet to be opened? Be prepared to wait 20-30 min and then see that employee help other people before opening the cabinet. Anytime I've asked for help the answer is I can Page someone who never shows up or it's not my department. Save your time and goto another Walmart location

This Walmart had all the necessary items, of course, but had only handful of options when it came to skincare brands.

I like the check out system better in this Walmart than in the Metrotown one. The cashiers bag the groceries and are very helpful.

The Metrotown Walmart has the cashier checkout and they expect you to bag your own groceries. The cashier also wasn’t very helpful the last time I went there…. If that was the case Walmart Metrotown, I should’ve taken the self checkout instead.

I will stick to Central City Walmart. Great job you guys

Good place for shopping. Closer to Surrey central and king George station. You can find almost everything here.

Thank goodness for this location. I was catching a bus here, but I somehow lost my mask, so I made the trek to a nearby Shopper's, Obviously I wasn't allowed in, they also had no masks to purchase. Walked over to Walmart, staff at the front said they didn't hand out masks anymore and weren't sure if they had any in stock. They told me to go to the pharmacy, I went there, but was.told they had none. The Walmart employee working in stocking OTC items proceeded to tell me to wait and came out with one mask for me from her personal supply. I wish I had gotten her name. Thank you Walmart employee, otherwise it would have been a long walk home!

I purchased something next day trying to return it went to customer service there was 2 lady’s working the avoid to refund me I asked for Maneger a ladyyyy showed up her name was Corinne customer service manager she was very rude talk nasty she told me can’t get refund leave the store or she is calling the police shopping from Walmart almost 11 years but from now on I won’t shop from Walmart buy Walmart and hello superstore

Can be very buys, but keeps stock of most items. If you shop between 10 am and 3 pm during the week, it will be quieter.

It's a Walmart in Surrey, always busy always crazy. What this location in particular fails to do however is remind their staff to smile at least once. I don't know if it's because management is toxic and everyone hates working there or what but seriously, everyone looks like they hate their life. I get it, it ain't easy being in retail but at least pretending you want to help customers goes a long way!

Recommended for weekly or monthly grocery purchases. But place is little bit cramped as compared to other stores.

Good location for selection and prices but not the best. Sketchy area because of the ppl that hang around the store and mall store fronts and parking lots.

. Ive only been here about 3 times when I have been in Surrey. Shelves, organisation whole layout is like ugh.
Some of the employers dont seem to understand what sneeze into your mask or sleeve means. I was walking by one of the employees who took her mask off to sneeze in air mind you

I like Walmart but it's disappointing for such a large store, they do not have sufficient stock servicing such a large area, get here early

A store with almost anything you need to live, from groceries to snacks, fishing rods to camping gear, markers to binders, entertainment systems to board games, appliances to dishes; the list goes on.

Went into the King George store this afternoon. I wanted to add more money into my Walmart gift card. I had tried at the Scott Road store a few weeks ago and no one in customer service knew how to do it. The two young women at the Service desk told me that you cannot reload a gift card; I would have to load a new card. I told them I have been reloading gift cards at Walmart for a decade but they still told me it cannot be done.

While I was waiting in line at the customer service desk today, a woman with Customer Service Manager on her name tag walked by. I stopped her to ask if the gentleman at the desk would know how to reload my card. She wasn't sure but she took me to an empty till and tried it herself. After a couple tries she was able to load the money into my card. I didn't catch her name but am very grateful that she persevered until she was able to get it loaded. It's nice to see an employee take that extra step to satisfy a customer.

I couldn't find a product so I called the staff at the customer service end we're busy I could tell. I assured them that they could take their time l. Did they pretended that my phone connection was bad and hung up on me.

I had my roommates attempt the same thing in case my phone line was actually bad it turns out the employees are just plain lazy.

Simply put my experience was good until I spoke to the two individuals who I deem laziest in Surrey.

Do not shop here if you want to be treated kindly. It's not worth saving the extra couple dollars. I repeat not worth the extra savings. Walmart please fix your staffing issues at this location.

With the removal of Safeway, this Wal-Mart is now my local supermarket. I'm here anywhere between 1-5 times a week to pick up items I can't get elsewhere. Each time, I dread the experience.

- Staff will do their best to ignore you. I've directly addressed staff on multiple occasions and been blanked completely.
- They have a stock problem. Their shelves are often stripped bare of essentials for weeks.
- They don't keep an eye on expiration dates, particularly in the cold area. We've had to return or bin food multiple times.
- Constant price mislabelling, particularly in produce.
- Difficult to get help at the self-serve downstairs, as staff are often talking among themselves. Upstairs is usually pretty good.
- There are NEVER any baskets in the front of the store. I now bring my own bag.
-They stopped disinfecting baskets many moons ago, despite the fact that Whalley still remains a hotspot for COVID-19.

Two stars because it's accessible and affordable.

Not only is there never a proper tag or price on anything. Disorganized as hell. Customer Service is a complete joke. And there is never any large bottled water. The WORST Walmart I have everbeen to.

Horrible customer service, especially the Indian lady that was working at returns/customer service department today. Apparently she’s always this rude to customers. The lady that was in front of me wanted to return something she literally bought yesterday with the receipt as it was expired but she didn’t notice the the employee told her “I cannot accept that it’s your job as a customer to check the expiration date before purchasing. She was so rude to her.

Bad customer service with a disorganized team

Went to return an item I had purchased online. When it was my turn, the customer service (CS) person asked why I am returning it - I found the same item cheaper on Amazon, and Walmart no longer price matches. The CS person asked why I bought it online if Amazon was cheaper. I found this really ridiculous now, I had to explain how I bought my item that I bought it online at Walmart first, and then saw it on sale on Amazon later. She told me I should've checked first before buying!

Similar situation happened to the person in front of me. He had bought 2 of the same item, decided to return 1 out of the 2. The same CS rep asked him why he bought 2. He said he thought he needed 2, but 1 was enough. And the CS made a snarky remark saying he should've just bought 1 in the first place. The customer asked why she said that, and she said it was part of their protocol - which is NOT!

A manager/supervisor came over because the CS needed help with an online order. She was not helpful at all. She basically ignored the customer service people who flagged her down to help with returns. And dismissed the staff and she walked off.

I found the manager chatting away and laughing with another employee around the corner while there were 10+ people waiting in line for returns. The customer service people were swamped with angry customers.

This store by far has the worst customer service I think I've ever seen. I live a one min walk to surrey central bus loop and I can come to Walmart in Guildford then back to surrey central faster and more convieniently than if I shop at this store. Come on Walmart you can do better than this

If I could I would give them 0*. Find this place the most useless place to shop due to the people who work there.
The worst place to shop because of the workers and manager. The customer service manager is so rude and not helpful at all.
Head office need to replace them with professional and knowledgeable staff, otherwise they will lose costumes.

I went into this store a few days ago, I pleased to meet an employee named Gurleen. She helped me a lot. I was facing difficulty in finding a product, she helped me finding it. She is such a sweet soul:) you can even see her broad smile behind her mask.

Misleading prize. The original prize of Mina, lean ground chicken is $6 per package (2 package for $12.00). They reduced the price to $5.23 and it says that customer save $1.74, which is not true. You only save. 77 cent.

It is a great place with one issue. They don't give trolleys for free, you have to pay $1 and take it and once you return it back you will get your money back. And for that you need cash. This I haven't seen in any other Walmart till now. It is very inconvenient specially if you have kids.

This Walmart security guy was out wardly coughing at every patron that walks out the door and laughing as if he's making a laugh out of this whole pandemic thing. He should go home and isolate himself if he is sick. He wasn't wearing a mask and he was laughing and doing it on purpose. He should be reprimanded.

Horrible customer service, the employee working the electronics sections was extremely rude and rolled her eyes at me when asked for a price check. After checking the price, I then announced I would like to purchase the item. At this point I hot more attitude. As she ripped the item off the shelf, other items fell and damaged. I commented asking if she was having a bad day, she told me it's none of my business. Way to go walmart.

There are never any shopping carts available. Line ups for check out are brutal. They are often out of stock of alot of things. Staff is not friendly and many barely speak English. Not impressed with this store.

No social distancing. Terrible run Walmart. I see people stealing and there's massive lines. It's horrible

Improved since last fall. Now there are Tap-to-pay to reduce contacts and chip reader errors. Staff seems to be cleaning the Self-check-out after used.

This location is my go to place for any grocery item but last week I’ve got the chicken thighs and wings which were hot and burnt the container melting it into the meat and were hard to cut them into pieces. You guys need to be careful with these things.

Hi my name is sunny. I went to tswassen Walmart yesterday with my family for shopping.the store was full of variety. As compare to the surrey store.customer service of that store was excellent as compare to surrey store.the manager was very nice and cooperative. Her name was arushi.i will give her 10 out of ten. From now I will only do shopping at tswassen walmart not surrey and delta walmarts.there customer service is very poor.

I will never return to this Walmart location and will be calling head office. My friend and I went into to browse and shop. With in the first 5 minutes of entering I left very uncomfortable. It felt like 3 staff members at all times were following us around the store. With one female employee specifically trailing us. She would badly pretend to be fixing clothing on the hanger or pick something up. In-between rows she would peek through holes in the shelving. She was weird because my friend picked something up to look and was deciding if she wanted it and the store employee came up to her and tried to grab it out of her hand asking if she wanted it. Which she did. The whole experience was very rude and uninviting. Like they don't already have a million cameras, you don't need to followed us around the store. We also won't wearing scrubby clothing either, and were in full glam. We had just had dinner at really nice restaurant. I think they should have been more concerned with the lady washing her hair in their bathroom. We dropped over $300 together but we will stick to our local Walmart for now on.

Being an instacarter we need proper supplies doing this job. It’s been a month and here are no carts available to use. They say that they are on back order. Everyone is waiting for someone to leave their cart.

Worst customer service. The staff was super rude and had no clear knowledge about the policies. Price display have different price and when you purchase the product price will be higher.

I want to thank 2 very special Walmart employees that helped me today Harleen and Novneet. I went to the Surrey central Walmart today looking for a specific toy because I was told it was in the back room and not on the shelf yet. These ladies grabbed it at the back for me. We opened the box and found out that the toy inside wasnt the toy i was looking for even though the upc sticker on the outside matched the description. So instead of telling me no we cant find it. Or whatever is on the shelf is all we have. Harleen and Novneet both went back to the back to help me search for this specific toy. They finally found the item and iam truly amazed by their efforts and customer service. Ive been shopping at Walmart for a very long time and this is by far the best service ive ever witnessed. Harleen and Novneet went above and beyond to help me. Thank you so much for helping me! I wish you both all the best and your kindness will never be forgotten.

2 storey. Lots of selection but the area isn’t the best for shopping. I usually give the homeless people a snack when leaving instead of cash. They usually eat it unless.

I would give this 0 stars if possible. They made me wait an hour to pick up an order that was delivered to the store. The manager shouted at me after i said this shouldn't be taking over 30 minutes. I would not recommend shopping at this Walmart because they are all incompetent and can't do a single thing right.

This Walmart location is often crowded and people don't follow social distancing rules. The layout of the store is weird that there's always great congestion around the bakery/fruits and vegetables area for the cashier is right across from it - this is located near the entrance of the store that it's often hard to cut through and get by.

The worst location i have ever seen before in North America. Don’t go there specifically for returns. There’s a lady 40+ asked me for the credit card I said no to her in two different languages, surprisingly i got Walmart credit card next day in my mail box. Obviously they pull my credit too. Worst location ever, staff are rude and they only speak Indian language! They took my ID as they told me you will get a one time 15 off and after they entered my info they said that I wasn’t approved! Approved for what! The lady wasn’t clear about applying for anything? Scammers
