New Review: I was accused of stealing as I was leaving the store, they threatened me and proceeded to go through my bags to find that I didn't steal anything. I don't steal, I've never stolen anything, I've been shopping here for 15 years, and after this experience I will not be shopping here ever again. There's nothing that you can buy at Walmart that you can't get on Amazon.
Old review: It has everything I expect from a Walmart. I like that it is smaller than the one in the south end and easier to navigate. The staff is always friendly and helpful to me.
The Walmart in the new Sudbury centre is messy and completely disorganized. I will drive the extra 20 minutes to shop at the south end Walmart from now on. Walmart in the new Sudbury centre is just plain frustrating to shop in.
They have three Caroline carts which is fantastic. They are helpful when my daughter with autism comes shopping with me. Unfortunately they are with boxes in the storage area and hidden. Why get these carts when nobody can use them? I had to ask an employee to move stuff just to get one. At least put one by the courtesy desk, maybe ask the person to leave ID and give it back when they return the cart. Useless having carts for special needs if no one can access them.
Oh my God. This Walmart is disgusting. The store is filthy, some of the shelves have garbage, some products have no prices and don't get me going with the staff. Rude, ignorant and that are the ones that could speak English. They should give free deodorant to every staff member. This store needs new management and customer service courses for every employee. I will never step in that slum again.
The McDonald's here is disgusting, ordered 3 sausage egg McMuffin and all three were burnt, had to just eat the egg and meat when I got home as all the buns were so burnt! Would never go back there
Updated 2023 review of the store.after witnessing a violent outburst from a group of individuals. Absolute disgrace of a store. No idea what happened to it as it used to be a great place. Either new management, staff members etc.but it's completely changed into a dirty store that you want to avoid and drive an extra minute down to Superstore. Dirty aisles, poor food quality, limited stock and unfriendly staff. It's really too bad. The parking lot is absolutely filthy and as a result, it hosts Sudbury's largest seagull population. As an added bonus, the neglected pavement will destroy your car.
The experience was so disgusting as we went today for some grocery and there was a boy named Rohan was so rude to us and his behaviour for dealing with us was so disgust
Poor customer service asked about a product which was not on the shelf and was told to come back in a week. Went back after 2 hours and it was magically stocked. Spent $80 on cab rides to check both walmarts only to find out i was lied to.
This location did not follow the Scanner Price Accuracy Code by the Retail Council of Canada on August 17,2021. I went in to buy some rain-x wipers which the Walmart flyers are advertising for $8.97, but they rang up at $12.97 at the cash. The customer service manager wouldn’t apply the Code, section 1.1 (a). Instead he said the code didn’t apply. He said the price was an error in the flyer, but no where in the store does it mention that it was a flyer error. I understand the code is voluntary, but Walmart is listed as a participant. I’ll be making a complaint with the Retail Council of Canada too, but thought I’d warn others of the service I received here.
Showed up prepared to spend $300-$400 on groceries and misc.stuff only to find out this Walmart forgot its 2021 and most people don't carry cash anymore so I couldn't use a cart (apparently in the last few months they made you insert a loonie to get a cart), went in and grabbed $20 in stuff I've been putting off for a while, walked past what seemed like 30 self checkouts to go to a cashier. I have never really been to impressed with the amount of self checkouts and if I had known they installed those on the carts I would of just shopped elsewhere to begin with.
Worst experience as an employee. The management was so good in the beginning when I joined here. Lot of good managers and staff left in the meantime. This place treat employees really bad and has the worst policies ever. I regret for working in such a stupid environment where employees are not treated well or appreciated for their hard work
I come here all the time and I think it's an alright store. But today I went to go buy beer and the cashier tried to deny that I was of age even after looking at my ID and made it seem like I was the stupid one.
This has to be the most pathetic store Sudbury. Customer service is a joke and the store is dirty everywhere. Almost always no stock of sale items. Some of the employees should learn to shower. I know its rude but come on, when you almost gag talking with an employee thats harsh.
Excellent prices on groceries but not enough emoyees on the floor. The bathroom was disgusting when I went in! I recommend more actively checking the restrooms and either hiring floor staff or managing the one's working there better.
Another company giving you the run around when attempting to contact them.like navigating without proper instructions in the ocean without a rudder during a storm. Hire someone to answer the damn phone because your instructions send us in circles.
I ordered a bike on the 18th, said was delivered on 26th. Never received it. Called around for2 days with no satisfaction. Called store to get another and they are out of stock. No easter for grandma. Very upset.
They have a employee who tells a few men when Pokémon are being stocked by MJ Holding and they go and buy them all to resell. My son loves Pokémon and every time I go to get him some they are sold out because of this. Should be a limit on stuff like that so that the kids can actually play.
I ordered a vacuum delivery date December 4. It's now Dec 23. I know we have a pandemic going here, but this item says shipped. Where did he go with that transport? It's a 300 mile drive and been over a month.
This is a horrific store. It is not very clean. Walmart security follows you around for no reason. If you look native like my partner. The workers are not pleasent. Just a horrible store.
Great prices on cat products. However, vet professionals lobbied parliment to outlaw "off the shelf de'worm' pills! I bought a box of 12 pills maybe. 8 yrs. Ago for like $6.97. Now? No person can buy them ANYWHERE! You must make a vet appoint. (100.00), and get a presciption! Not all of us can afford that. Another money grab by the "professional vets". AGAIN.
Some customers ignored the social distancing, i asked him to move a bit but he ignored my request. The cashier didn't tell him to keep his proper distance. That was wrong.and why did the cashierdidn't want put my items in the bag for me the customer. Walmart is starting to fade big time for me. I think that I will start shopping online or at different stores.
Save money. Liver better. This really is the motto! The deals here are unbeatable! The building itself is nicely done. The workers and customer service helpers are very nice. One of the better supermarkets I have been to in a couple months!
Big store with a big inventory. Stock, cleanliness, and crowds appears to be focused only on groceries, pharmacy and clothing. Other areas seem to suffer from neglect. Entire featured video racks empty except for 1 product. Limited selection in many other departments. While the store selection is geared towards big shoppers, the cashes seem to encourage express shoppers featuring 8 people working express and 1 or 2 working full cashes. The front doors and center of the store can be insanely busy and uninviting, but other parts of the store can be so quiet you don't see a customer or an employee.
Terrible. One of their cashiers literally pushed me out of the way as she tried to get to another till.and then became rude with me when I suggested she say "excuse me" instead of pushing. The sad fact is that this is the third time a Wal-Mart employee has pushed past me or physically invaded my personal space. I think it's high time Wal-Mart implements a "hands off" policy for their customers and perhaps trains their employees in the area of manners and politeness. They really are going downhill in this department.
First impression visiting from out of town: get hit with a cart by a worker. She apologized but then proceeds to slide the whole cart across my body as she navigates the turn. Talk about rude. On the plus side, good selection and the checkout lady was very nice. Too bad one bad apple left a negative impression.
