The food is really good. Plates come to the table very hot. Tasty and the prices are reasonable. The service average. The atmosphere is so, so. I recommend this place for a quick bite alone or with someone you know well. This isn't a place for romance.

My family have been coming here for more than 20 years it was my first time coming back here after so many years. It was a childhood go to restaurant as a Korean for ages. The taste never changes and it's always good. The service is always superb and the food always tastes the same so as Korean I approve.

I've been here more than 10 times in the year I've lived here. Today, they didn't give me the broth for boiling the nurungji that they always gave me, so when I ordered it, they just said, "You just pour water in it. " (a younger person other than the always friendly server) said. (I looked and everyone had that soup kettle) I definitely felt bad because I felt like I was being discriminated against. The scorched rice came out all burnt and black. I didn't even eat the vegetables underneath the ribs I ordered, so they took them away. I felt bad, so I always had 15. I gave ~20%. But for the first time since I came to Canada, I customized it to give a 10% tip. I thought this was a percentage, but it was 10 cents. While I was embarrassed, I snorted and said, "10 cents? " When I heard that. I was a little surprised, but there were children.and there was another employee who looked after the children happily (actually, I didn't want to hurt other people because of my part-time job), so I was embarrassed and ended up paying about 60 dollars again, so I paid 6 dollars. I gave it to him and left. I feel like I actually ate everything. If he reads this review, he'll know.
There were 2 elementary school kids and me, so we could have just ordered 2 pieces, but since there were 3 of us, I felt bad so I deliberately ordered ribs. ㅜㅜ I really don't think I'll be able to go next time if that employee is there.
That snorted “10 cents? ” The voice lingers in my ears all day.

Seolleongtang, Doganitang

It was disappointing that the soup had a weak consistency.

They have the BEST seafood pancake around. It's the crispness, non-gooey, tastiest one around. The food was all really good except the service is not so great (as are all really yummy places). The restaurant is clean, inviting and homey but service is a little rushed and impatient. I would come back just to get the seafood pancake, but it's $27 and for the size it comes in.might not be worth it.

The renovated inside was super neat and cozy. Servers were very nice and polite as well as the price of meals were reasonable and tasty. I personally think this restaurant is the best one in the Korean mall area based on my experience.

My favourite Korean restaurant in metro van so far. Bbeodagi Gamja-tang and Galbi-tang is most recommended. Complimentary whole kimuchi and rice is offered with the pot soup. You can chose rice from stone rice and regular rice in a bowl. I definitely recomend the former kind which comes in a hot stone bowl and has a crispy chowy layer at the bottom. The restaurant will be close for redecoration from late April to late May, according to the notice they have on the door. So please make sure to check on the time before you visit.

The food is great here but the service is inconsistent. The first time I came here the service was amazing. However, the second time I came left a really bad taste in my mouth and let me tell you why.

The lady who I assumed is the owner seated us down towards the left side of the restaurant and simply forgot about us. The people that were behind us (list wise), was given their drinks and utensils and even ordered before us. We waited for 10 minutes and yes, I timed it and still nothing.

We tried to grab the two ladies eye contact so we can order but they clearly don't look at you. We finally had to say something for someone to come and take our order.

We also asked for some tea after since we had nothing to drink nor had utensils. The girl says ok and left and never came back to us with anything!

To make things worst, when the owner came to give us our food, she gave us wasn't even the correct order. By then I was irritated and also told her we have no utensils and drinks. Clearly I was upset and no sorry or anything was said. Now I know how others feel when they enter an Asian establishment.ironic since l'm asian myself.

I hope they see this and give better service next time because that experience was unacceptable. Bad customer service kills the restaurant even if your food is good.

The food has the traditional flavor of Korean cuisine and is so delicious that it is worth coming back.

One of the female servers is hoping for more tips, but she only brought our food to the table and did not provide any additional service.

We had a bad experience with a impolite server. We were asked to have a table arrangement from the server very politely and not giving her stress at all and she was so mean and we were waiting over 15-20 mins to be served and hardly ask her for any extra things, I would say not providing good service at all, when we paid the bill and the server said over 6 people as we are 7 then need to add extra 18% tips (not in a nice way) I have no choice to accept it. This is the first time I was forced to give 18% with a bad service and not reasonable as even western restaurants charged extra 18%tips are over 8 people. However, I would like to say if the service is good, we are willing to pay but it’s not on this case.

Disgusting. Staff has no notion of sanitation or cleanliness. Bowls came to table dirty- red peppers scattered, still wet. I asked for new bowls, the waitress’s thumb was deep into the bowl- I couldn’t use that. She didn’t even apologize when she brought replacement bowls again. I don’t think they use any soap to wash their white bowls. I wonder if they wash anything properly at that place. Staff grabbed utensils where people’s mouth would come in contact with and brought them to my table with same hands that they just cleaned other tables with. I had to ask for takeout chopsticks to eat as I found that too disgusting. I will not go back ever again. Fraser health food inspector must pay a visit, I’m sure they will fail. Disgusting, absolutely disgusting.

I have passed by Wang Gama so many times while shopping at hannin village but never went in to eat. Came here with a friend to try the tendon dish, but ended up ordering kalbi tang (short rib soup) and gamja tang (spicy.rib and potato soup?) As well. Portions for all dishes were more than enough as it came with a stone bowl rice per soup order. The tendon dish was fabulous, soft but still with good texture and the dipping sauce was great. I had the kalbi tang and it was super flavourful, great with the rice. The stone bowl also made great charred rice at the bottom which was great with the soup as well. Was not super thirsty afterwards so i know it was well made and no just full of msg. Overall i was pleasantly surprised, and will definitely go back again!

Do yourself a favor and skip the LA Galbi. It was so hard and overcooked. Ridiculously pricy! It wasn't worth it. Even the sauce was plain terrible. Just stick to their main dish on menu.

Originally was going to have food somewhere else but that place had a long wait. This place also was packed once we got a a table. The service was fast and the food was pretty good. We had the pork bone soup, bibimbap, and a plate of mixed meats. Don't forget the add some water or soup to the stone pot rice at the end! Crispy rice bits from the pot with soup was my highlight of the meal.

My favourite restaurant in Vancouver! I come here regularly and order their #10 Spicy Tofu Soup extra spicy. I have honestly never tasted anything better and would choose this as my last meal if I could. The staff are very nice and welcoming. Music is great and environment is very relaxing.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this restaurant. Food was excellent and so authentic. Great service too. I had the galbi-tang and it was so good, very home-style cooking. I will definitely return whenever I visit Hmart, which is right across in the outlet area. Great restaurant.

The kimchi tofu hot pot was good and the service here is nice, not expensive and has a great taste!

Recomended. Place is clean and the server is very professional. Food is authentic korean at reasonable price. Will being my family next time.

I love the food there. It's so good I just wish I could take out the noodles for one of the soup and the noodles were optional but other than that the food is amazing.

I love the stone bowl rice here. You have to eat in for that. It’s better to make a reservation to avoid waiting outside as due to COVID they only have some tables open. Their stews are all very good. This is one of my few favourite Korean restaurants in town that actually makes me feel back home. I usually focus on finishing my stone bowl rice and the soup you make out of that because it’s a lot. I pack the leftover stew for another meal. Very good price considering I get two meals out of it.

Located in the Korean place. Heard a lot of good things about this place. We order number one (ox bone broth) and number two (spicy pork bone soup) on the menu which are presumably the most popular options. Their kimchi was not the best but the radish kimchi was above average. They bring your rice in a stone pot. Ambience is a typical Korean restaurant. Service is about the average. They don’t take American Express. You might smell like Korean food for a couple hours after dining. Price is very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Great place for Korean soupy one pot meals especially on cold wet days. Their kimchi is the sweeter version that I like with the heat.
