This shop is great store filled with many hard to find goodies, not to mention the staff are super friendly

The best shop ever. The normal games workshop typical employee is a bit "pushy" but this store is something different. I would like it if the store had a bit more variety and kits for specific factions but still one of the best workshops avaliable

Wow what an experience. I went in to buy an intro set and not only did they give me multiple demos, get me to play a brief round of each, but encouraged me to take part. This was such a great buying experience, the staff were exceptional. You feel welcomed, there is no pressure to buy because honestly the service alone is getting you so excited to play by teaching you. 10/10, shopping experience. Fenix and the other person at the store, you are true professionals. If you are getting into warhammer or overwhelmed trying to figure out rules that it is burning you out or stemming your passion, go to this store, they will teach you and help you.

I walked in and was greeted with a smile! I was introduced to the concept, the lore, the models, the paint! It's a candy store for artists! The staff are friendly and happy to teach you how to build a model - which ended up being easier than I expected. I even got a personal one-on-one lesson for painting my new model. The new contrast paints are amazing and make the whole process too easy! Thanks HighGate Team!

The staff have always been friendly and the store was always clean for the last two years I've visited. Recently I went in for a preorder that was sold out quickly online. I was put on the preorder list but on the day of the sale there was a mixup unfortunately with how many people were on vs stock available. That said Chris went above and beyond, and was able to resolve this!

Stopped by recently as a good friend of mine recently introduced me to WH40K and got me more and more interested in checking it out firsthand. Soon as I walked in, was immediately greeted by Phoenix, who spent the next hour introducing me to WH40K and helped me paint my first model. I cannot emphasize what a fantastic experience I had, I was already interested before I walked in, but absolutely sold after the great experience I had which I feel is a great reflection on the store and the WH40K community. I’ll be doing all my WH related shopping here for the foreseeable future, and for anyone else interested in the hobby and considering learning more, this is the place to come. They have some great Displays of Figurine Painting but all they have is Warhammer and no other Role Playing Gaming Systems such as the Classic Dungeons & Dragons, Boot Hill or Superworld.

I just started to get into this hobby, and this store was very welcoming and not pushy. My friend and I were showed a quick game just to see if we’d get into it or not. Amazing customer service! I did find some other places that was a little cheaper, but I’ll continue to buy through this store due to their customer service alone.:)

Greeted immediately by someone named Owen (pretty sure but he gave business card so if it’s wrong I’ll update later haha) who asked us what we were looking for and was SO helpful once we let him know we were new to the game. Not ONLY did he actually help us save money by suggesting tools that would get the job we wanted done for less but talked us into bundles to save money though we were originally going to buy them one by one. He walked us through the factions, the sets, what happened to the old fantasy warhammer (I dabbled as a teen). He even offered a painting and gaming lesson to us though we didn’t have the time he told us we should come back sometime and hang out!

Not only all that but he was so pleasant and you could really tell this is something he is passionate about and that he wants to share it with everyone. We will be back for some of those lessons and to buy more haha - much cooler experience than purchasing things online when you get an experience like that I’m glad I came in instead of doing it all on Amazon

Have come into this location multiple times now and the staff has always been very friendly and willing to give advice or tips on how to play. Phoenix is extremely friendly and patient with all the incessant questions I had about playing 40K for the first time. Everything is fairly pricey but that's just Warhammer for ya.

This store is great!
It was a little intimidating with all the stock and prices but phoenix was so helpful. He walked me through the entire demo painting and building and taught me a lot of great little tricks and tips as it was my very first model. That made it so much easier to just spend the initial money on the paint and other starting supplies supplies! I am definitely coming back!

Great staff, learn how to paint or play, they can assist in tutorials. Cost of product is always expensive but the consistency of models is terrific.

Great place to go to get paint or figures for Warhammer. The customer service here was excellent, the staff are super friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable.

Was a little intimidated at first by pricing and number of models to choose from but Phoenix was an awesome associate that helped me pick out exactly what I needed to ‘dip my feet’ into the hobby. Hats off to the people working here, store looks great and everyone is super friendly even to first timers.

The staff here (Ryan) was fantastic! He knows everything, was amazingly helpful, and treated us like gold. I highly recommend shopping here.

Nice guy in the store, explained all their products to me. I was surprised that they even gave me a free sample of the warrior.

Great shop for all your hobby needs. The staff are helpful and will happily provide aid for any questions you might have. Selection is good for flagship factions. They can be a little pushy with sales sometimes, but that's expected.

Amazing staff.so helpful and informative. I know nothing about Warhammer.bought a birthday gift, and the gentlemen was so helpful, my friend loved it and made his army more powerful.plus they gave me a gift to start my own army.awesome!

Very helpful and staff were happy to explain and advise newbies. Got us set up with a starter paint kit, brushes and even some sample models, kids were pumped!

Place is practically my home away from home. Love the staff, love the community. Would hang here all the time pre-COVID. Owen the manager is the man you want to talk to if you’re looking to get your feet wet in the warhammer hobby.

This was my time going to a games workshop location, it was amazing and and the staff were awesome, the displays were really cool.

Awesome store. Cant wait for covid to heck off so they can open the store for playing games again. I want to give one final shoutout specifically to Owen and the rest of the staff their for being super cool, helpful at explain things, and for being so active in the lower mainland's warhammer community

The rep was very knowledgeable. Unfortunately you can't play a tutorial game or do a painting demo due to covid. My friend introduced himself to 40k out of nowhere and his only choice was to purchase models instead of having that classic mwg experience. Obviously not GW's fault but just unfortunate.

The staffer was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the product. Found what we needed and felt that the store had a great setup for Covid safety.

They do the emperor’s work, the manager, and all employees are always helpful, and kind to converse with.

Also I will mention how well the store manages it's business during Covid-19, so I am compelled to write a review for Owen and the store.

The staff was amazing, they greeted me right away and were eager to answer any questions I had. Even gave their own time and models to run me through some kill team games and show me the ropes.

Not many people compared to the metro town. So if you want to go for a quick shop this is the place. Always parking available in the under ground. The Safeway has always deals going on you shouldn't pass it up. See for yourself check it out.

Great selection of Games Workshop products. If you are looking for hobby supplies or non-Games Workshop brand board games, this is not that kind of store.

Staff are friendly and quick to address you when you arrive in the store. The shop is often quite busy on weekends as they run events, so if you are wanting to arrive and take your time browsing and ask questions to the staff, weekdays and evenings are your best opportunity.

Pretty good, not enough chairs but friendly and helpful staff, Owen and and his coworkers are polite and eager to assist.

This is a good store, lots of models and laid out in a very user-friendly way. Helpful guy working there. Can be overwhelming if you haven't collected in 20 years but he explained everything and offered to teach me how to paint/build too! Above and beyond.

It was interesting. I was never interested in this world. But my kids love it and that's important to me. Expensive though.

Games workshop is a great place to buy Warhammer, Warhammer 40k, citadel hobby supplies and white dwarf, also lord of the rings minis are available. Their selection of other miniatures is non-existent but that's sort of what they're going for.

Amazing customer service Chris finally got me into the hobby, ryan showed me how to play and owen taught me to paint these guys love their job.they all have perfect skills and chemistry for the store.

Great staff! Owen and Chris were amazing. Showed me how to get started with this hobby! They helped set up a game to show me how it works, and helped me build and paint some models!
