Washington Avenue Grill

I have visited here a lot of times over the years for celebrations, occasions and just because. Always received great food and service, especially good for me as they have been able to accommodate my gluten intolerance.

We had the seafood hot pot. Best meal I've ever had. Seafood penne was amazing and the steelhead fish and chips were great. Service was fantastic. Don't remember the server buy she's one of the best I've ever been served by. Only thing was the pineapple coconut margarita. Too salty and very small for the price.

The food was amazing and the service was really good. The waitress made a mistake in the order and with out hesitation fix it and gave the table some complimentary appetizers. After dinner we got a complimentary dessert to share as well. The sun set over the water was the cherry on top of the night. Highly recommend & hope to have dinner there again when back in town.

Funky vibe downstairs, incomparable views upstairs. My meal (seafood tomato bisque and crème caramel) was *outstanding, * plus now I have a long list of dishes that I want to try next.

View of the ocean from every table and has almost a New Orleans-style vibe. The entrees are a good portion size, but I didn't find that the each component of my dish blended together well. Good flavors, though. Nice wine selection with a variety of options and price points, but the thick, clunky wine glasses were a bit disappointing. Unless the chunky glassware is purposeful, they need to be replaced by something more delicate.

Everything was great. My wife and I went here for a lunch date.

First, we ordered the appetizer calamari. It was amazing, especially the dipping sauce. I just wish the portion was greater considering the price.

My wife ordered the seafood penne. Great portions and fish to pasta ratio.

I ordered the Washington Avenue burger. Delicious. The bacon is nice and thick, and the sauce is perfect.

The server was very attentive and prompt with water refills and ensuring our satisfaction.

We plan to return to try other menu items.

From the exterior look- seems funky and different. Interior look was very dark, warm and cool. There was lots of cool pieces to see while walking in and up the stairs.
The hostesses and servers were very cheerful and friendly. They shared the specials, answered questions and great service.
The waitress we had always checked in on us, made sure everything was good.
The food was delicious and service was very fast for a busy place. The view on the patios are gorgeous we saw the sunset and watch the water.
I would recommend this place to everyone!

Any positive reviews are surely fake. SUPER DISAPPOINTED as we did not just walk in off the street - I made my reservation over a month ago requesting a table along the window. Arrived 10 mins early for reservation, to all the window tables occupied. They tried to sit us in the worst possible table in the whole restaurant against the back wall no view whatsoever! I do not & will not play such circus games with you trying to make us sit at a terrible table. This is not the first incident but it is the last - my whole extended family & myself will never go back nor will I EVER recommend this place. There are tons of great restaurants within 5 mins of this circus and they do not try to make us sit at terrible tables. In fact, after we walked out we went and had a wonderful meal down the street - at a lovely table! Don't waste your time/money/effort with these monkeys.

Food is amazing here so is the service. The Lobster Bisque soup and the Lobster stuffed ravioli was perfect

Was here recently for a birthday dinner and the food was very good. The servers were great even though you could feel the tension of them being understaffed.
Everyone enjoyed themselves, will be back.

We went for lunch today, ambiance is so amazing beachy with a flair of class, fantastic service, fantastic food and I loved that I went off menu and subbed out an item and it was zero problem. We will be back!

We went to Washington Avenue Grill for the first time yesterday, for an anniversary dinner and we were so impressed with the food, service and overall atmosphere of this restaurant! Justyna was our server and she also sat us at a table with an ocean view, she made us feel so welcomed and would always check in with us.
I highly recommend getting the stuffed chicken, it came with garlic mashed potatoes and veggies and was probably one of the best meals I've ever had! My boyfriend had the stuffed gnocchi with cajun chicken, also very tasty! We will definitely be coming back here in the near future!

Beautiful view, huge windows, lovely ambiance. Servers were attentive. Small portions for the price but what they lack in cost they make up for in taste. I had one of the most delicious caesar’s I’ve ever had and I’ve had a caesar at every bar or pub I’ve ever been to.

Very very underwhelming food and service was extremely unprofessional. This place was also very dirty. Don’t waste your time or money

Excellent location with excellent window views. Good food with okay service (one server annoyingly insisted on us having to move something we were reading every single time he brought a dish to the table even though there was obviously a lot of clear space on the table to place them).

Not knowing White Rock that well, this place seemed a bit out of the way. However, it was fairly busy for a midweek lunchtime. Food was well cooked and plentiful, but it seemed as though they were compensating for culinary flair with quantity. Lots of seafood though in those dishes.

Husband had short ribs and said they were excellent. I had fried chicken bowl. Liked that it was brown rice, the chicken was tasty. Each fork full had a different taste. View of the beach in the summer is beautiful. Waitress made me feel rushed the whole time.

Great food and service, we were a group of 9, was charged automatically 18% for tip wich is OK, I was dissapointed that the tips was on total amount wich included the bill taxes.

This was my Mom's favorite place to go to in the summer so I was in the area and went and had a glass of wine and the fish tacos and felt her smiling down. The food and service here are still as wonderful as ever!

We enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere very much! Although it was a very busy night and our appetizers took a little longer than usual, we had our cocktails and our gracious server Terry-Lynn helped to make the experience much more pleasant.

Very dissapointed in our waiter Nick, forgot my straw, didn't come around much to see how things were. Asked for pictures for my bday took forever to come back and wasn't busy.
Gnocchi not bad but buttersquash ravioli small but excellent, should come with bread.
Don't do anything for birthday like alot of other restaurants do, that would have been nice a little touch a dessert.
