I was driving along east 43 avenue / Fraser street this morning all the sudden this truck coming from alley didn’t stop on the intersection to give way to cars cruising along east 43 avenue. The driver just used the truck blocking the intersection & also itching slowing so I can’t pass even am try to reason wt him he just gave me a dirty finger.

Poor communication, price increment without informing and its too high, wouldn't suggest going with them. They schdeule pick ups and then cancel without informing the client. I wouldnt advise going with them. Also, tried callinr your office after your response. The staff is rude and there is never a manager availabe to talk to. No information on the manager was provided upon asking. And you hav e to wait for 48 hrs for the manager to reach out and i which is only a tentaive time.

Overall, incredibly dissapointing and unsatisfactory service. Adding to Waste Connection's ongoing list of scathing reviews, this company is quick to mislead and bind you to contract.

Once you are under contract, expect to experience the following:
-consistent raises in pricing (min x3 of what other waste removal companies are charging in Vancouver)
-negligent/unresponsive customer service
-failure to remove garbage as per scheduled.if at all
-an inibility to cancel your contract unless 15+ months in advance (or cancel immediately and pay thousands in "liquidated damages")

Supposedly the thousands in liquidated damages can be explained in the "Failure to Perform" section of the contract. I am just wondering how the multiple late/missed garbage pick ups don't count as failure to perform? There have been no riots, landfill closures or force majure events to explain all of them - "Excused Performance" is laughable in this instance.

Beware: Cancelling is a breach of contract on the customer's end but intentional misleading and failure to pick up garbage is more than acceptable from them.

Update. Garbage service is now operating normally and pickups are rarely missed.

Response: I’ve been emailing at least 3 times a week for over a month; not one response. You get better luck calling in, but never get any useful information or results.
I’m not asking for much…just please pickup the garbage.

Appalling service.

I genuinely feel bad for the customer service reps who have to deal with the absolute breakdown in service and operations.

Good staff doing their best to work with what they got. Management should be embarrassed and ashamed.

We have been a business customer for 12 years. We found out that they were overcharging us on our service agreement for years. Our account rep said they can only refund the past 6 months overcharge. This company stole thousands of dollars from us. It's really disappointing that they treat their small business customers like this, especially during these tough times. Be forewarned and do yourself a favour and stay away from these guys!

Since Waste Connections of Canada Inc.bought out Revolution Resource everything has gone downhill, we have several accounts, several locations.we went 5 weeks without garbage pick up, we were continually told we were on the schedule for pick up the next day. 5 weeks later finally a pick up, we had to arrange for garbage removal ourselves during the 5 weeks, we also had the extra expense of cleanup as the lid would not close so crows pulled garbage out, we were still being invoiced even though we received no service. We received an email to say our account had been set up, we were not told our account number had been changed, our invoices were no longer being emailed to us. We had no access to our account & no invoices. The phone is never answered, you can only leave a message that is never replied to. Finally when we were contacted our bank account was entered incorrectly and the payment was not withdrawn. Another account had a valid bank account but not the bank account for that business or location. Payments were set to be withdrawn before we received the invoices. The time that I have spent correcting all the errors is ridiculous! In Nov the basic service charge rates were increased, this is over and above increases for fuel surcharge. For some of our accounts this is the second increase to the basic service charge, other account it is the third increase to the basic service charge in a 11 month period. We are not eligible for an increase, I have emailed, the reply is our accounts are being reviewed, we have received no revised invoices. No replies to my emails asking that our accounts be set back to our previous rates.

They are EVIL CORPORATE BULLIES! Our weekly scheduled service was not provided for weeks and our overflowing bin became a BIOHAZARD. Now they demand payment for NO SERVICE and increase fees without notice. I called several times and was promised service and adjustments that never happen. They ignore requests to terminate contracts and will not remove their bins. I emailed several times and there is no response so please Waste Connections, DO NOT patronize me by asking me to call or email again as you do with other reviewers. We all know I will be ignored. EVERYONE AVOID this USELESS company!

Since the merge of the company, I had experienced challenges with the company. I can echo some of the reviews. However, I am grateful for talking with Meghan a professional caring understanding individual who took initiative to provide a solution to a previous issue. Waste Connections provides bins for the Surrey Christmas Bureau temporary Toy Depot every year. They are very reliable and provide great service!

Four missed pickups in a row. My residential building is literally overflowing with garbage. They still aren’t sending anyone no matter how many times they tell me it’s getting picked up it doesn’t.

Unless you want to be stressed out and swimming in trash for weeks do not use waste connections.

Waste connections will let your garbage pile up and become a biohazard.

We struggled some during the merger with Waste Connections, but now that they are through that transition, our service has been amazing. We have been able to get an extra pickup when needed, have had multiple visits to pick up our full bin when vehicles blocked the truck's access, and our Customer Service Rep, Meghan, has gone out of her way with new opportunities to improve our service.

Very disappointing terrible service. The driver is never on time and charge for their mistake (they came on not scheduled pick up day and charged the fee beacause we didn't clear the path for the driver). They randomly raise their fee. The original contract was 5% increase per year.it's been close to 3 year service now and the fee got doubled. Our contract ends in 2 months and I asked for early cancellation and they said I have to pay liquidation damage for $1890. I can't even count how many times they missed the scheduled pick ups. Never want to deal with this company again.

Constant harassing phone calls! I was just hung up on, by your so called "customer service" rep. You call me 10x a year about an account I have nothing to do with! I have spoken to multiple managers who assured me the problem will be resolved, yet I keep getting calls almost monthly! I will make sure any future strata I work on or any business I run into with your logo, I will go out of my way to ensure they change companies!

Waste Connections just did their first service on our Community Hall after taking over from Revolution. Had good PR with the Driver and looking forward to seeing if they are any better than Revolution. Looking forward to seeing if they keep up Good Service so I can edit my Review to have more Stars.

I had no love for Revolution so when I found out that Waste Connections had taken over, I put Duct Tape over Revolution's Name on our Dumpster and wrote 'Waste Connections'.

July 1st Update:
Waste Connections got our Cardboard Tote picked up yesterday and they are working on Canada Day. The Truck was just here and I had more good PR With the Driver.

Our Organics Tote is behind on it's Pick Ups and the Driver took note of that and is passing on our Requirement to that to be done.

This Morning's Service was Good. Adding One More Star to the Review.

Last Friday's Pickup was Missed so I called the Phone Number and got a message saying to send Email instead of talking to a Live Representative.

Went through the entire Computer Maze and finally got a Live Representative.

I prefer dealing with Live Representatives than talking to a Computer.

Unprofessional and unresponsive. Sales representative Sarah Schuchart threatened us with legal actions, when we informed her, that we will be cancelling the contract.
It took the lady two (2) weeks to respond to our phone calls. Pick ups of our garbage container are constantly missed and we are being told "all new drivers - they are not familiar with their routes".
Stay far away from this organization and contract a different garbage hauler.

Revolution Resource Recovery used to be an excellent service provider, however, since Waste Connection took over, there is no service / customer service any longer either.

Rating: Horrific.

You are seriously trying to play suprised? After almost two (2) month of inconsistent service? No service at all last week. We called dozens of times and wrote emails to "customer service" (which is not existing in your firm anylonger) and you have the odessety to play this down and being suprised? No driver can be so incompetent not to find a location repeatedly. I dont think that drivers are the challanging issue of all your problems.

Do not use this company. We are a cabinet shop and they missed our weekly pick up 3 weeks in a row. They won't let us out of our contract even though they can't pick up the garbage on time. There is a clause about "labour shortages" I highly recommend anyone looking for reliable trash removal service look elsewhere.

In addition - Thanks Customer Service! I have reached out to your customer service probably 20 times. At the moment we are down 2 pick ups again! This is a warning to anyone considering using this company. Do not use them, you will have constant issues with pick ups.

Do NOT use this company, they are entirely unreliable. The only consistency is that they always miss the pick ups, resulting in overflowing bins that attract rodents and pests. They're recently changed their automated phone message asking customers to email their requests, it's been one month without a response.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This company took over our existing contract and I can't even comment on their service since I haven't gotten any! I agree with the other post I have been seeing an it looks like they are doing this with a lot of their clients. It is impossible to reach them as they will not answer calls and have even made it more difficult to get a hold of someone by setting up an automated answering machine telling clients to email.

They haven't picked up my building's garbage in two weeks! Called twice and they don't even call back. It's 35 celsius and the garbage is really smelling now. UPDATE: the company just replied to my review 3 hours ago and asked me to send an email. I posted the review two weeks ago. The garbage had not been picked up for two weeks prior to that. They never returned both my calls to begin with and they want me to email?

They were good at first but they missed my garbage pickup twice this month and it’s been 30 days since my recycling has been picked up. I usually get once a week pickup for both. I called and emailed multiple times with promises that’d it’d be picked up that day but they didn’t end up coming. The garbage people told me the recycling people were on strike, however the customer service reps told me they had “system changes”. At the end of the day I’m left in the dark with overflowing garbage and recycling. I am extremely disappointed at this service.

This company acquired Revolution Recovery who were serving our 2 businesses promptly from years without any problem.

Since these guys took over in December 2021 things have been very difficult for us.

Waste connections is an unethical and unprofessional company, not only they are not picking up garbage they are charging us for job not done.

Even customer service agents seem to be fed and tired of the management when you call.

Managers won't reply to your contract cancellation requests. Please avoid at any cost.

Waste connections took over from Revolution. Revolution was great. Waste Connections are a WASTE of time. Service does not exist. PERIOD. They do charge the credit very promptly though. Email after email.call after call. NOTHING HAPPENS. Garbage is picked up 8 days later after repeated calls.

I really want to ESCAPE from this company! They charged on the 1st of the month (before service provided) but not providing service on time but they have lease agreement so we had no choice?
This is the worst company I have ever used. Revolution was not that good but became the worst after purchased by WASTE CONNECTION. The fonts on their agreement are super small, smaller than Nutrition Facts on kids beverage bottle. The important part of the agreement is the lease term. The sales will not let you know if you dont see it. They never pick up on time and will not return your call. You need to provide video evidence to show that no one came to pick up. They always tell you that service has been completed and marked "completed" by drivers. My pick up day is every month 12-15th. They came on 31st last month and it is because I saw their car on next street and asked them to pick up. However, end up I was charged twice on April 1st. 2022. And they still didnt pick up for this month yet. I tried to call email but no one answer or arrange it for me. DO NOT use them, you will spend all your time on getting them to pick up your garage!

The latest two pictures are of our driver picking up our bin and leaving the mess in front of it. Spoke to management they apologized told us our service would change we still only got two pickups out of our four and our bins are still overflowing so nothing's changed. All this company does is lie to you and give excuses.

It has been about three weeks since our last service. We are beyond capacity and nobody is answering calls or returning messages or emails. Do you still exist? The days they weren't even operating because of snow, Emterra came to empty our recycling bins. Every truck except progressive has driven down our alleyway in the last two weeks so the weather excuse is invalid. This is unsanitary and unacceptable. At least communicate!

Manda is the lady I deal with mostly. She is extremely professional in her position which when I call in with any problems she is very easy to deal with. The service I get from Manda is by far the best. A very pleasant experience. I have been dealing with her for years. She simply is the best in the business.

I had to change a WCC waste removal agreement at a commercial property. Maria Gangotena helped me set up a more cost-effective waste removal arrangement for the existing contract by guiding me through the process. Maria was courteous, knowledgeable, patient and responsive and clearly explained the details of the agreement. Many thanks Maria!

We had very very bad experience with Waste Connection, that my husband condo complex committee needed to terminate their contract. I had non-impressive performance from them as well, they service Surrey Government as well to do weekly garbage and recycle garbage collection, they missed collection 3 times in 5 weeks recently. I had to report to Surrey government for 3 times of missed collection. My husband said, their staff left garbage all over the ground of their complex after collection, they missed coming to collect garbage many times, making garbage overflow, this is a 3 condo building’s business, unacceptable. They neglected complaints and answering the phone. Very disappointed.

Manda is a gem! Dealing with her for years, It's hard to find a more RELIABLE customer service rep out there, when it comes to being responsive and making a customer feel important. It's not just backed by words but ensured by action. She's never satisfied until the customer is happy and we are very lucky to have such an amazing person handling our account!

Have been with Waste Connections for our restaurant waste removal and have never had a problem. If there was a problem it would mostly be vandalizing or weather problems. So if I needed anything from them they were always very responsive and helpful. During the pandemic they have been really great with showing us compassion with hard times and reducing pick ups without hesitation to help us out. During our time with them, Maria has been our account manager and I’m always very happy speaking with her. Very helpful, responsive, compassionate and professional.

We have been a long-term Waste Connections customer and recently we reviewed and renewed our contract. Corrie Murray was assigned to our account and I am impressed by her professionalism and patience during the past month. A note to the management: Corrie is definitely an asset to the company.
