Waves Coffee House - London Plaza

This review would be 5/5, but the caramel macchiato is inconsistent depending on who is working. It sometimes tastes like they forgot to add the sweetener that is usually put in.

Otherwise, convenient spot to sit down with a cup of coffee and study, work, meet up with friends etc.

I am giving the service 6 starts review.
I purchase coffee for friend, and the handsome waiter seen I have pick-up breakfast with me and order coffee. He knows I bought for someone, and prepare a heart shape cappuccino for me specifically.
My appreciation, he helps me a lot making great impression for my sweetheart

Waves is such a good place, the drinks taste very good but I can't go there often because of the price. It is the same or even more as starbucks, so really hard to go all the time for me: (but I love their hot chocolate, I think its the best between waves, tim hortons, starbucks and blenz.

Great please to have a cup of coffee and relaxing here, very clean and organized by the owner. Even have a small conference room for you to have a meeting for free.
Strongly recommend this place.

I really like the shop, nice, tidy Sunny terrace.
But there's a very angry upset barista woman what she should double check her behavior to her coworkers and the costumers, and remember to say please, thanks or sorry when you are wrong and force me to get the coffee I didn't order with a very bad actittude.

This coffee shop has the best environment I've ever been to. Tiramisu and brownies are also very good. Recommend to everyone ~

Great coffee， staff is so friendly, super close to my office, very conviennent location for me. I some time meet my client there, the shop is super clean and cozy.

This is good place to work/study, clean and spacious. I come here every morning, order cafe latte. Taste good, good price. Owner is kind to customers.

The BEST cafe to study at! I have been going here everyday because of the amazing atmosphere here. The drinks are super good, the baristas are really nice, and the tables are extremely clean. If you're looking for a place to get your work done, this is the perfect place!

Some of my personal favorites are the matcha latte and the matcha lemonade. Their bakery items are also amazing. Definitely recommend you check this location out!

Without doubt one of my favourite place. The quality of coffee and selection of other drinks, melancholy music in background, the ambience of the place, facilities for small break out rooms for private business discussions, a private lounge for 1 to one discussion etc is remarkable. Can never miss my regular every day which freshen me up - A double expresso, a waves size cappuccino and a chocolate banana loaf warmed up - Waves you have the “touch of class” - A haven for business executives and students at the same time.

The customer service is great. The staffs are polite. The coffee quality is excellent in Richmond. Will always come back to try!

Had a morning coffee all good but the muffin was stale. Asked the cashier if it was from today and she said yes. Really that’s not good rather be honest. Obviously don’t do much sakes in the muffin assortment.

After moved to Richmond, I have tried all the coffee shops nearby. This coffee shop is my new favorite. The manager Nan is always nice and helpful. Their coffee taste is amazing with reasonable price. There are a lot of seats and even some meeting rooms you can book. Good atmosphere for a morning coffee.

It's without a doubt that this branch of Waves is the best in Canada. With quick and proper services, your expectations will always be exceeded. Given their background, one that stood out the most was a manager named Nam Nam. With a pleasant smile and personable attitude, this person will keep you comfortable and welcome whenever you visit. I hope people like Nam Nam will continue to serve customers at this branch because I know damn well they are doing the store proud.

We work here everyday. Service is very good. The staff works very hard to meet all of their customers' needs.

The girls working around 1pm today were literally the sweetest. I felt so welcome and happy when I left. I will definitely be back

In the service industry, if there is one customer who is not satisfied today, there will be a complaint. If there are 100 customers who are satisfied, maybe only one will write a good comment. They got what they want, they are okay. If they didn’t, they were not okay. Some customers will pay for a cup of water for they think that they have bothered the staff who served for them, and the price of paper cups has doubled due to the pandemic situation, so they should pay a small fee. Some customers think that water is free of charge and they feel uncomfortable for paying even the tips. Sometimes the customers are also mad at the staff who didn’t take the personal bottle for the safety reasons. They related it as a bad service. Who is right and who is wrong? The reason for this depends on different acknowledge standards.
At last, wish the world peace and the customers are always satisfied.

Spacious n Lovely nook for coffee and catching up with friends. Located in the heart of Richmond. Adjacent Parking.

I came to try the iced lavender latte drink and iced coconut latte drink.
The baristas bre and sam were nice. However, asian manager was horrible.
I asked for four drinks iced but to give it chilled and remove the ice. They make it with lukewarm oat milk and coconut milk.
Then the manager comes and gives a diluted lavender flavoring.
I call back once i get home and the asian manager agrees to giving my money back. But when i called her out on her making the drinks flavoring weak she starts defending herself and blaming me for ordering “incorrectly” and not adding ice.
But the latte is also made hot and the same amount of flavoring goes into that one as well. It had nothing to do with the ice level.

Either way takes back the offer to give me my money back and instead says come back and get two free drinks…
Unprofessional - this is one of those spots you come to just study or get work done. Drinks arent special nor good quality.

Do not know why the woman there is so agressive.just asking whether they have single origin coffee.she didn't understand and somehow begin to be angry.

Regular coffee sucks here. It was not even hot. Lid of their cup is hard to open if you want to add something after buying coffee.

Washroom for this location always is in a worst condition. Staff was not that friendly either. At least the one from I ordered.

Considering all this, their coffee is so much over price.

A good environment is suitable for study and meeting clients. Enclosed patio is available and also have a meeting room can be booked. 3 hrs free for parking lot.
Latte is absolutely good choice.

The barista with a bun is super rude and she only reserves boardroom for her friends. That's really unprofessional. My friends, highly recommend you to avoid this place. You don't want to ruin your day by visiting this place.

They close at 6: 55pm.not 7pm. The barista said that she doesn't have time to pour me a coffee. How much time does she need to pour me a coffee?

Owner need to review BC smoking law as it’s 3 meter within any doorway however they indicated smoking is allow at their patio which is well within the 3 meter allowed.

I visited the London Plaza Waves Coffee House this afternoon to redeem the Fido cheesecake prize. The cashier's name is Nan Nan. She told me that all cheesecake were sold out. I asked if I could change to other type of cakes. She said no such arrangement. Then I asked when can I come again to redeem the Fido cheesecake prize again. She said no idea. I asked again if I come next time, the cheesecake is also sold out. What can I do? She didn't offer any advice, help or suggestions. I believe this shouldn't be an acceptable level of service that Wave Coffee House should provide to the customers. I don't know what is the purpose to offer prizes via Fido but failed to honour. This is totally unacceptable.

$5.99 pour un chocolat chaud noir. Manque cruellement de chocolat et de mousse. Avec des machines aussi professionnelles et nous servir un produit digne du chocolat chaud maison. Sérieusement pour ce prix, je peux acheter 4 litres de lait.

We ordered Iced Matcha Latte, Mongo Smoothie and Iced Coffee. Highly recommend the Starbucks a block away!

The female manager is extremely rude. She is one of the worst I've had to meet. This place is really poorly run. The washrooms are extremely dirty. Poor management. The place has gone down hill. Serving food that is extremely stale.
I use to come here regularly. Manager tried to force me to purchase more. When I refused she just up sized my order without my permission and took my money.wow.

When is there a rule that you must purchase over a certain amount before you can sit.

The manager also tries speaking Chinese to me when I'm not Chinese nor can I speak the language. The puzzled look on my face doesn't seem to give her the memo.

I enjoyed my time in Waves. They had loads of places to study and even had study rooms you can book. Lots of places to charge your devices. I always like to leave my house in order to study because there are absolutely no distractions and Waves is able to give you all that! Plus, they have a nice selection of coffee and honestly as long as there is matcha latte with oat milk, I am already sold. The wifi is also relatively strong so that will never be a problem. I am glad to have come here instead of blenz, they have a nicer atmosphere. For sure will become my study spot! Also, a nice secure spot to park my car.

The female manager named Nannah is extremely rude. I bought an item. I wanted the one closer to the window as the others appeared old and stale. She refused. Turns out it was old and stale.
A lot of the others baristas are really great. Most are helpful and polite. Were it not for the manager, I'd have given 5 stars.

Poor customer service from the female staff who is a barista and a cashier. Not sure if she’s a manager. Expensive drinks, not that good.

If I could give this location 0, I would. One of the staff members has an extremely awful attitude.

I was surprised how busy this location could be on a Sunday, tons of people working on laptops. I was pleasantly surprised by the ricotta and spinach pastry, tasted great! Coffee was just okay.

Nice place to spend some time meeting a friend or a business partner. It has a private meeting room. Nice drinks too.

The owner/manager charges people for cups of water. She will not replace drinks if you think they are not made correctly, or do not taste good. There is never any seating in store and no social distancing whatsoever. Worst coffee shop in Richmond got to the Steveston location staffs 100% better.

Nothing Less than 1 Star? Absolutely awful. When I lost my wallet and went back there again to ask if anyone have found a wallet, the 1st person said: Ask the manager! I waited 10 when until she become free, and she without even a look just said: No, I dont know and turned away to the next customer! Even didn't try to ask description or my number in case if found! Nothing.

Recently added a bunch of good long tables which are great for studying. However the internet at this location is less than ideal. Don't come here if you want to watch any online lectures or do anything that requires even basic internet speeds. You will spend more time buffering a video, than it's length. Average speed tests are all under 2.5mbps.it's 2020. Time to upgrade, or unthrottle the customer wifi.

They made a mistake with my drink but corrected it write away. Nice shop. I always recommend Waves coffee. Better than that other place.

The ambiance is is people talking and very soft music. However the store is clean.and there's a meeting room too! Large waves store I've seen.
Would I come again? Probably, maybe. The girl who handed me the drink had a smile on her face which was nice!

I wish the owner will pay more attention to cleaning. I came at 8 am and store was just open. The floor is dirty, bread crumbs on the floor.

They didn't make the drink right, Canadiano tasted and looked like water. I passed by a Starbucks just for here in a raining day, very disappointed!

Probably the best Waves in the lower mainland but it does get very busy in the evenings and seating is limited.

Pretty standard for a coffee shop except for the meeting room that you can book for $5 and furniture is a little more comfortable.

Love this place! My favorite location for sure. The staff are wonderful (I most frequently deal with Kevin and Andy!) friendly people! And of course the coffee is good. This location previously was used as a meeting place for a publicly funded mental health program (for weekly coffee and socializing) that I volunteered with, and it makes me feel good to know that I can support these types of programs by being a wave's customer, and also by bringing awareness by sharing this information. It is always clean and well stocked. Never had a single problem or bad experience - perfect every time! I go here 2-3 times a week at least:) Thanks Waves!

Love the atmosphere here. Great place to catch up with friends, homework, studying etc. Staff are very nice here!

I like this Waves location as its large, lots of seats and has a private meeting room. This is very nice to have. Generally everything is ok except their teas are too overpriced.

MAYBE you could actually fill your store if you were so stupidly over priced.

F u c k i n g joke. Ever wonder why tim hortons people cant find an empty seat but Waves is practically a ghost town? Duh.

Ok well update is this place now advertises coffee refills only 1.50 so i give him my reusable cup and he charges me almost 2.50! I question it and the kid doesnt know doesnt care. Everyone should just spend the extra thirty seconds and go to mcdonalds or tims. Hell even starbucks is way cheaper.

This used to be a good place to get lattes, but the last couple of times I went there, the employees didn't know what they were doing. The last time, the guy handed me a drink (in my own cup) which was dripping all over the sides. I won't be returning.

Very nice coffee as usual. I tried the Columbian this time but i found it a bit bitter for me-just being personal.
