Gotta love Wells for pretty much anything you need. Especially cleaning products and candles. Housewares in general. A+

Fun general store with remarkable variety for its small footprint. Good practical items like water bottles and kitchen utensils, fun gifts like novelty socks and cute mugs, and a great selection of plants and gardening supplies too! Often a first stop for finding a useful gift!

My favorite place. The staff is super nice. They have a variety of things from body care to kitchen utensils. I am know to disappear and spend more time then allotted.

This place got the best deals sometimes and always got a good selection in stock

Half of the times I have shopped here, I have been followed by staff and the owner - making for a really uncomfortable shopping experience. Once, after making a large purchase, the owner (an older white man) came over and wordlessly, without any explanation, looked through the contents of my bag to make sure I had purchased everything in my basket. The cashier looked dismayed but as someone who has experienced quite a bit of racial discrimination in Vancouver, I let it go and said nothing… That really shouldn’t be the case which is why I’m finally writing this review. I admit the product selection is excellent and fun to look through but it’s not worth it for me…

Such a great little general store with everything from plants, to cookware, household cleaning, essential oils, toiletries, books, toys, toilet plungers, hardware, colouring books, stationary, gifts, storage bins, and lots of tasty grocery items you might not be able to find elsewhere. Love!

Cool place that is a crossover between a dollar store and a hardware store. There is always something useful to be found from a visit here.

Wow so many choices! I am in love with all the good stuff, I bought lavender incense and soap bar. They smell amazing! Will definitely visit again soon!

Lots of everything here, and good if you need to spruce up your place - wide range of shower curtains, one is so nice i can use it as a curtain for my kid's bedroom

Very disappointed in the amount of people crammed into the store. I needed to grab a couple things, and didn't notice the how busy it was until I got in. I quickly made my escape.

The best general store in the neighbourhood! My first stop for pretty much everything from everyday kitchen items to food/drinks to small hardware items to toys and games. Love that they carry lots of items from local suppliers as well as specialty products. It's always fun browsing the aisles, there's always something new and fun and I rarely leave empty handed. Particularly great selection of cocktail mixers (bitters, shrubs, etc) and hot sauces.

You can find all household goods here at reasonable rates. The selection is varied, but can leave you wanting for variety in a few products.

I like Welk's and have been going there for years, and will probably continue going there, but, it used to be a place for good deals and unique stuff. The prices are now average and you can actually find the same products for cheaper at other stores.

I don't buy as much as i used to there, but the store still packs a punch and has a good variety of stuff, so i give them 4 Stars - Just!

The two male managers are always frowning, scowling, looking miserable. Especially the short bald man. Why glare at customers? Learn customer service or find a different career. Or buy a hair piece and feel better about yourself.

Excellent selection of artisanal soaps and candles, as well as hot sauces and spices! They also have much more - the aisles are so fun to browse. The cashier was also friendly and kind. Overall pleasant experience - will definitely go back for more soaps and candles!

My favourite store to browse. I don't recommend going here if you're in a rush because there's too much good stuff to check out! This used to be a generic dollar store, but they underwent a brilliant rebranding (or change in management) a few years ago to offer exceptionally high quality and fun everyday products. Lots of natural skincare, candles, zero waste products, non-toxic baby products, cool boardgames.really, anything you can think of for your home. They even carry my favourite organic West Coast Seeds for growing my own sprouts in a mason jar. I find myself here a couple times a month.

Amazing selection of local and unique items. Found Christmas gifts for my 4 year old nephew and my grandma.

Wonderful selection of household goods and food. What an old school general store should be. Everyone thinks that they have to go to big box stores to get good prices but their prices are great.

ONE OF MY TOP 3 FAVORITE STORES IN VANCOUVER! Best quality department store BY FAR with the best prices on everything. You will not pay insane amounts of $$$ for markups, you'll just get great quality selection for what it costs. I go to Welk's for everything (almost)!

I love this store. It's unique and has great practical items and gifts. The product line leans towards boutique / hipster / organic / healthy living. It's my go to place when I need something funky or of better quality.

Customer service isn't stellar but it gets the job done efficiently enough. Imagine it akin to going to Home Hardware but receiving Canadian Tire service. You know what I mean. I still give it 5 stars though, because I simply can't get enough of it.

The store is great, lots of random but quality items. I almost always leave with more than what I came for! Can be a bit tight in some spots though and it does make it harder to take your time & explore the shelves.

Fun place. True general store, with everything from plants to home goods to groceries. They give tonnes of shelf space to local companies (candles, creams, etc) which gives it a community vibe

This place is amazing. They have everything I want or need, and they have so much of it provided by local businesses. The best popsicles, bamboo undies, lip gloss, and cordials just to name my favourites. Plus they have a decent board games selection! Wowsers!

Welk's is a quaint store where you can find everything, from canned wild tuna to coconut sponges, cast-iron pans and gardening tools. They have incredible deals on some foods and cleaning products. I get all my greeting cards there. Jigsaw puzzles, baking molds, garbage bins, welcome mats, soaps, plants, coffee beans, organic shampoos, honey, mugs, books, chocolate, peanut butter, note books, toothpastes, toys, this convenient store is a treasure trove for everyone, every taste at any age.

This trendy and affordable shop is one of Vancouver's hidden gems. They sell EVERYTHING besides clothing, although they do sell socks. Since moving to the burbs I sometimes travel into town just to browse the store. It's my one-stop-shop for any dry good, household knick knack, plant, or gift. Coolest wrapping paper in town and the staff are both friendly & approachable. They could definitely make use of a larger space but aside from that, everyone needs Welk's in their life.

A mount pleasant shopping essential that always has at least one thing you want but didn’t know you needed till you saw it. Eclectic, sometimes quirky, always worth a browse.

A one stop shop for adorable stuff for the home. A favourite spot for rainy day browsing and random stuff collection, if you're into that sort of thing.

They have pretty much anything might need or didn't even think you need. Very interesting brands, lots of locals products and organics/naturals products for a healthy home.

It's hard to put in to words what this store is like. It really must be experienced. A treasure trove of things for your home. Kitchen, storage, office, apothecary, plants, books, seeds, organic and vegan grocery products, and so more! My family and I make it a destination to shop once a month or more. Love it!
