Very disappointed at the below average customer service at this clinic. Our family doctor had to actually scold the girls at reception who were gossiping and talking about non related work instead of directing patients to their GP. Not sure why there's two receptionist at the front desk when there's a sign in kiosk. Some feedback: replace front desk staff with people who can do phone calls/faxing from home it's actually more cost effective. If not helping patients in clinics, you are taking up space and adding more bodies to a very already small space. Also put up signs to direct patients. No brainer.

Simply put, the walk-in doctor Khan is apathetic and incompetent. Resonating with many other reviewers, she rushes the appointment extremely and demonstrates a lack of inclination to help those with needs. I even found that her opinion and diagnosis to be questionable after receiving second opinions.

With a maybe bare minimal explanation of the diagnosis/treatment options, it simply makes you question coming in. In a situation like this, is it fair to just feel like cattle being pushed in and out of the system.

Extremely disappointed in this health care provider and would highly recommend seeing the main doctor, Dr. Hansen, even if you need to wait a bit longer.

The doctor was over 30 minutes late for my virtual appointment. I understand that this is normal, however he was extremely rude when he picked up the phone. He did not introduce himself, I had no idea which doctor I was talking to, I didn't even know he was the doctor at the time I picked up the phone. There was no apology for the late appointment. Ended the call with "That's not so hard is it? "

Update June 28 2023

No improvement, tried to cancel my sons appointment via online system, was told to call in. Called in and after 15 minutes on hold was hung up on. Do you expect me to waste more of my time? Great job. Am moving my family to a different clinic and would give a negative review of this one if possible.

Great doctors but very poor systems. The staff try hard but they are not organized at all. It puts me off booking an appointment and I am considering changing practices. Get better please!

Much satisfied. Went in at 10 am on a thursday as new patient. I was able to fill out the form and quickly meet the walk in physician. She resolved my issues with no hassles and was very friendly. Even provided me with requisitions for blood work that I much needed. Thanks for the good work!

Very nice staff. Easy to get into and very accommodating. Most days the wait isn’t that long either. I’ve waited in doctors offices for hours for a walk in and was able to book an appointment here 24 hours in advance. I have found my new doctors office.

I had an appointment with Dr. Das which unfortunately he didn't show up. I kept waiting and no one called.
I later on called the clinic to make an appointment with a different doctor and the receptionist hung up on me.
This was a very important appointment for me and took the time out of my busy lunch service to have this appointment.

I hope this can be brought to the doctors or management team about this.

I had a bad infection and was very ill for almost a month, after being dismissed by a doctor at another clinic and sent home with no treatment, I was able to make a next day appointment at Kerrisdale Medical. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful both on the phone and in-person, I was barely waiting 2 mins and I saw the Doctor right away. Dr. Henderson was very thorough and showed great care. He sent me for an x-ray, put me on treatment and also followed up with me a week later when I was finished the medication to check in over the phone. Very rare to get care like that from any of the clinics in Vancouver and I'm very grateful for that. Great clinic and great Doctor, would highly recommend!

I had just a simple check up appointment and I chose this clinic as it is the closest to my house, but the service was great! The staff was super helpful and friendly, so I think they deserve a good review. You people are doing a great job! Thank you for all the help.

We needed a sick note for work, and even though there were lots of people waiting, the receptionists squeezed us in, resulting in minimum wait time. The doctor was also very kind and caring. Exceptional staff, good service. Would return if I get sick again:)

My experience differs from a lot of the negative reviews here: I made an appointment online and only had to wait 2-3 minutes after arrival to see the doctor - however, the waiting room was practically empty. The receptionist was very friendly, and the doctor seemed very knowledgeable and kind and put me at ease. I feel the treatment plan we made for the issue I’m experiencing is one I’m confident in.

Called ahead to ask about walk-in availability and they went ahead and made me an appointment for later that morning. Receptionists were all helpful and kind. Slight wait before getting in to the doctor but that was expected, and he reassured my worries and gave me several helpful recommendations and prescriptions. All in all a good experience!

*beware IUD users* I’ve been here maybe 5 times, and the first time I had a good experience with a very nice doctor! I had my iud installed here with a nurse practitioner and it was an okay experience. However to get an appointment with her afterwards was super difficult and the receptionist told me I could just get my iud checked with one of their walk in doctors. It was an incredibly uncomfortable experience in which one doctor refused to see me at my appointment that the receptionist made… saying he wasn’t comfortable. Which is fair but then they moved me to another room where another doctor then made me feel uncomfortable for the whole experience. It was clear he didn’t want to examine me or trim the strings of my iud (which is what I wanted) and proceeded to look up on his computer how short to cut them while I was sitting there. It felt very unprofessional and I wish I had just gotten a referral to a gyno which is what I originally asked for. I understand that it’s a sensitive thing at times when male doctors have female patients and need to examine their reproductive area but it’s also like…. This is your job? Why am I making you do it? Anyways not trying to be mean I’m just like trying to spare any women the uncomfortable experience that I had.

One of your physicians at this clinic was ridiculously judgemental when all I needed was an prescription to cover the last two weeks of my visit in BC. The medication I was requesting is one I’ve used for 20 years and is the primary medication provided to most Type 2 diabetics before all others are suggested. Had Dr. Shim actually read my extensive medical history in BC, he would have realized this within minutes.

I wasn’t requesting insulin. It was metformin, and it was not necessary to suggest diet and exercise over a telephone consult for a refill.

I didn’t bother to defend myself on the phone to combat his arrogance. He did granted the refill timely.

This physician reflects poorly on your clinic.

Despite negative ratings and reviews I went in as a walk in and was very pleased with everything. I wanted a second opinion about a medication before getting a prescription and Dr. Das was very thorough in answering my questions.

The doctor was great, but I've got no confidence in any follow up from my appointment. Test results were sent to the office with zero follow up or even plans for a follow up. Dealing with this office is too difficult.

This clinic has gone downhill and the service is just awful. You can't get through by phone.then when you go to book online and check to see if the clinic is still taking walk ins, it says yes, accepting patients for walk ins at this time.

This is the second day in a row that we have gone there and they have told us that they are fully booked. Then they tell me the website is never updated.

As my daughter walked in, she heard the reception talking to a coworker and said " someones crazy mom just called in and they will be here any minute". Unbelievably rude and unprofessional. My daughter phone me in tears.
So, you can't call in, and you can't get the availability online. My family doctor is booking 6 weeks in advance.

My poor daughter, with an ear infection has gone over twice in the last two days only to be turned away.

We are fed up and will try to find somewhere else to go after 19 years.

Totally miss Dr. Bowlsbey. Really like our GP there but her availability is not great.

Just got a phone call from this clinic and told me that I haven’t payed my balance from December 2021!? What the hell and immediately I checked my credit card which I can’t remember what I used so checked 2 cards. And there you go I payed that balance on December 20 2021. I know I payed that already and the lady who called me said that it’s not showing in their system. Well I told her I gave my credit card to that lady who called me in December! What INCOMPETENT staffs there!

I absolutely LOVE my NP! She is fantastic. The reason for the 4 stars is because of how poorly the receptionists are. From forgetting, to lonnnnnngggggg phone times. I also had to repeate something 4 or 5 times, after being placed on hold 4 or 5 times.

The doctors are amazing, and the nurses are fantastic. I absolutely recommend the NPs here, S well as any walk in doctor.

If you can get in to see the doctors they are great, unfortunately you have to go through the receptionists and nurses to get there.

They dont give times and they overbook the doctors. Went in for a scheduled appointment which I was told would take 30 minutes by the doctor and was still waiting to even be sent to a room 45 minutes past my appointment - only to have to reschedule 4 days later. Whats the point of an appointment? I would have been waiting as long had I just came in as a walk-in.
Returned for a followup on a weekend when there were no doctors working (why even be open honestly) to extremely rude desk staff who told me to buzz off.

Phone lines are not answered, called everyday for several days to get a prescription refill, get a place in line, then eventually (20-25 min) line goes dead, or worse, called at 2: 45 was told 2 in queue ahead of me, and then at 1500 voice recording saying clinic is closed. Have a great doctor so i put up with this bad reception

I was a walk-in this past weekend and barely had to wait to see a doctor. Dr. Das was extremely helpful in diagnosing my problem, and was very courteous in creating a thorough treatment plan that ensured a progression in my wellness. Couldn't recommend him enough! Great guy.

This got to be the worst clinic in Vancouver. What kind of medical clinic does not have a telephone number posted anywhere and what kind of a clinic that does not incluse a GP registered at your clinic in it, s contact list. My GP is Dr lyons. Why am I not able to contact her by phone or online? I shall make an appointment with ther B. C.health minister to file a formal complaint against this clinic.

Called for appointment, doctor away for 2 weeks, so was told to come in as
a walk in before 10am next day. When I got there, was told to go home and wait for phone appointment. Could we not have made this appointment when I called originally and save me hassle of driving across town at 8am?
Totally senseless, particularly during pandemic! For goodness sakes, where is the common sense. I have been a patient there for years and years.

The clinic has no working phone number on their website. If you want an appointment you should fax in a request because everyone has an outdated fax machine at home right? The website to book an appointment doesn't work. To get an appointment I had to drive to the location and wait in line to be served. I would stay away from these clinics if at all possible. They are part of a huge conglomerate who doesn't care about a patients health.
The doctors that work at the clinic however do care.

Literally tried to call loads of times and couldn’t get through. The receptionist took 10 minutes to make an appointment for me, obviously their reception lobby area was so loud that she couldn’t hear what I was saying so I had to scream my name down the phone. The receptionist kept making mistakes when looking up my name (which is a very easy name to spell by the way) and couldn’t find me in the system even though I’ve been a patient for two decades.

I’ve been coming to this surgery clinic ever since I was a baby (I’m 21 now) and this is the worst it has ever been. It used to be personal and human and I felt cared for but now is dehumanized, robotic, and is just ticking corporate boxes. Such a shame because I really love my doctor, she is the greatest! But the practice itself stinks.

Worst experience ever! The worst clinic. From the receptionist to the doctor, Dr. HO is very awkward, unprofessional & does not know how to treat or communicate with patients. It felt like I had to beg him to do anything—an unpleasant experience. Please do not waste your time and health. Like the others, I think they should find new staff and doctors or close this clinic down. I wish I can rate this ZERO.

I showed up needing my stitches out early because the wound was becoming infected (was told by Healthlinks I could go anywhere for removal) - they told me the doctor on site refused to remove stitches.

Have been going here for years as my previous doctor, Dr. Bowlsby, was fantastic. Now that he is no longer working, I can't bring myself to deal with the awful desk staff.

Same experience as others - following up numerous times to hear about my test results but no call back. They promised that I’ll hear from a doctor three times now and nothing has happened. Good people but probably just very under-staffed in terms of number of doctors.

Called half a dozen times only to get hung up on instantly. Finally got on the line and selected the option for the referral desk which just loops the recording again. Selected the option to book an appointment just to talk to someone and got answer answer after 45mins. The receptionist was helpful but their systems desperately need updating to avoid these problems.

The system they have going regarding calls at reception is absolutely ridiculous. Ive tried calling numerous times within the office hours at different times of the day on different occasions. I get put through to the "line" for nearly 15 minutes to half an hour until the phone call is ended on THEIR PART. And I have to phone 3 or 4 times in a row to MAYBE get a hold of a receptionist after they hang up on ME. Ive had to give up some days and then call the next day because I just cant be sitting there for an hour trying to get through. I've been with my family doctor since I was a young child, otherwise there is absolutely no reason I would be visiting a clinic with this kind of service. As soon as I get out through to my family doctors personal receptionist its fine. But it is a challenge getting through the initial receptionist desk to get there.

It’s the worst clinic I’ve ever been to. I normally do not login to write a complaint about place but, I think I should for people’s sake. I went to this clinic few weeks ago and got a voicemail that my test result back. I tried to connect them at least more than five times to make an appointment but I couldn’t because they were all busy. When I finally talked to one of receptionists, they were mad at me because of the fact that I couldn’t take their call. They only remember the fact that they called others but others call them more than that. Worst service, worst treatment. Never recommended.

WORST CLINIC EVER! - DO NOT USE VIRTUAL CLINIC! - I made a virtual clinic appointment with one of their doctors and whilst I have had no problems with the doctor the problem you will encounter is with the staff at the clinic. They didn't fax over my lab requisition to LIFELABS until I called them again on the next day and then they mistakenly sent a requisition that didn't include the all the relevant tests so I have to call them again and when they sent a second requisition to LIFELABS they include extra testing that wasn't required.this left the staff at LIFELABS very confused and subsequently they needed to phone the clinic to verify what actually needed to be done.
THE SECOND ENCOUNTER WAS 1 WEEK LATER - When I was given my test results over the phone and told I needed a course of medication. After the bad experience encountered the first time round I called my pharmacy 2 days after the script was meant to be sent to them to confirm it had been sent by fax.despite giving the doctor the precise address of the pharmacy I wanted the script to be faxed to; the Pharmacy didn't receive it.
Then after calling the clinic again and re-stating which pharmacy they should send it to I then chased up with the pharmacy 2 hours later and got to learn that the clinic accidentally sent the script to another pharmacy (of the same pharmacy branded store) in a different location.
From my experience all of this shows that either the staff are not fit for purpose or are quite incompetent.
I would highly recommend going to a different medical clinic.
I have never experienced these issues from other medical clinics, even when using their virtual consultations.

This clinic is HORRIFIC. I have been trying to follow up with my test results for about three weeks now and they are continually cancelling my appointments with no explanation. I call and get told they will have the doctor call me, nothing happens. I book appointments and they cancel them. Absolutely abhorrent. Do not waste your time trying to be seen or assisted with anything, you could very well end up dead before someone could be bothered to give you your results. Here's hoping I'm not actually ill. Disgusting behaviour from those who are supposed to be medical providers. You truly are just a number at this clinic. STAY AWAY.

I was given to the clinic through an online platform for a virtual appointment. The appointment seemed to go okay. We left with plans for a later referral to a specialist. I was told I would get a call from the clinic soon for the referral.

I received the phone call the next day and I just missed it. I called back 5 minutes later and nobody answered. Their automated voice mail system is atrocious. So poorly set up and I am still not sure that it even works. I have called 15 times over the last six days. Nobody has answered any of my calls and they do not have the option to leave a message. I am extremely frustrated and it seems I will need to make another doctors appointment to get this sorted.

After attempting to phone Well Health and being placed on hold for 20 minutes, I called another clinic. The virtual Receptionist answered after 3 rings. I was informed the Receptionist was busy or away from the phone- asked to leave my name and number and told they'd call me back soon as possible. Easy Peasey. LOVE the Doctors at this Location, they Take Care of You. But I've been wondering what happened to the OLD MOA staff? Loved the OLD MOA staff before when this was KERRISDALE CARE Medical. EVER SINCE the change to WELL HEALTH, the MOA staff is ALL over the Place. Nothing gets done right away, or it gets done incorrectly about 85% of the time. The only staff that knows how to do things still is the one on the weekends. OTHER than that, they dont seem to know what's going on. The old staff and weekend staff, knows their patients, especially the ones that are regulars. Which made it feel more personable. I miss them.

MOST PATHETIC receptionists I have ever had to deal with. They barely ever answer the phones. I've been trying to call to get an appointment with my family doctor the entire day, I was put on hold for more than 20 minutes multiple times, and hung up on literally 12 times. If it wasn't for my awesome family doctor who works here, I wouldn't waste even a second on these trash cans who call themselves health care receptionists.

If I could give this place zero stars I would, my last review somehow was never posted, I guess that too much truth isn't welcome. I have over 50 hours of being on hold with this office trying to make an appointment, they do not answer their phones. If I hadn't been with my Dr for years I would completly bail on this garbage of an office. I had to drive to the office to make an appointment with my Dr (Otto), as the virtual app wasn't functioning properly. While there I phoned the office, there was nobody in the office except for the receptionist. I asked about not answering the phone, asked her if the phone was ringing she said it was I asked her if she was gonna answer it. She looked at me like I was speaking alien. Anyhow, it took me over a week to get a refill of my blood pressure meds almost had to check myself into the hospital because of the blatant incompetence of the reception staff. The Dr's here should furious with how the patients are treated

I'm going to immediately say to the people who think others are cutting in line at this walk-in clinic, or being seen out of order, that's not what's happening. This clinic has family doctors working at it. The people you think are cutting in are there for scheduled appointments with their GP. There's a different doctor on shift to see just the walk-in patients.

This clinic is definitely not without its problems. When WELL Health took over, I was sad to see that the young ladies at the front desk had been replaced. They knew me, and were always friendly. The new staff haven't been rude to me, but they certainly haven't been friendly. It feels like they don't want to be there. The wait times can definitely be frustrating, but I don't know of any other walk-in clinics nearby, and I think that has a lot to do with it. There is a government imposed limit on how many patients a doctor can see. They really need to add another doctor to the walk-in clinic. It's far too understaffed.

I've been going to this clinic for 4 years now, and have had mostly good experiences. My family doctor is there, and he's the best I've ever had. And boy, have I got experience with doctors. I hope he never leaves. Until I die. He's free to go then.

I'm a community support worker and I took my client to the this walk in clinic. He needed to be seen and the posted times on the site says they close at 1pm. We arrived at 11: 15. The receptionist at the front was not only extremely RUDE, she turned us away and said the dr. Has to leave at 1pm. What kind of medical clinic turns away a patient in a wheelchair who walked to this clinic needing medical attention. If she was even a tad bit polite maybe we wouldnt feel like we were just shooed away.

The staff are all very friendly and professional. Dr Ho is genuinely concerned about the overall health of his patients. I was in for a very straightforward issue recently and he probed me about any other possible problems. The location is good because it's a stone's throw from London Drugs, as well as many food stores and restaurants.

Unfortunately this is where my family doctor is located. I love him and thinks he's great but it's the incompetent front counter staff that make doctors visits horrible. I waited almost an hour to see my doctor today. When I asked what was going on, they decided to take me back him with no explanation and no apology. Turns out, they forget to tell him I was waiting. Clearly this office and the staff have issues.

Yesterday, I had the most upsetting and horrific patient-doctor encounter I have ever experienced. This was with Dr. Lucy Lyons, who recently took over my family doctor’s patient portfolio at Kerrisdale Medical Clinic.

I have been visiting Kerrisdale clinic for over 15 years. With the exception of it being organizationally slow and busy, I've had zero issues with care or service. My experience today irrevocably changed by opinion of this clinic and of Dr. Lyons, to whom I will never, ever again be returning. And whom I will actively lobby against to my family and close relatives.

During my appointment, things turned very ugly very quickly. I have no idea why Dr. Lyons was in an agressive mood that morning, but she was. And it was very bad. During our meeting, Dr. Lyons yelled at me and verbally abused me, emotionally guilt-tripped me (for visiting another walk-in closer to my work and a hospital at 3am when clinics weren't open) and accused me of "not taking care of my health" and "having bad health" because of this. In addition, she bashed my family doctor who was "extremely slow" and interrupted me aggressively many, many times saying as I tried to tell her why I was there, yelling that she "ran appointments at 10 minute intervals so I had to get to the point". My family doctor delivered me as a child and is, IMHO, the zenith of medical excellence. I am a community leader and ex-athlete in perfect health.

At the end of our meeting, I told her I felt extremely upset about her unprofessional behavior. What does Dr. Lyons do? She gaslights me on what she said, how she acted, how I heard her, that she was yelling at me. It was unbelievable.

I told her I didn't want to argue with her over whether my feelings were valid. All of a sudden, she changed. She immediately started "caring" about me, and asked me about my personal life and how I was doing. It was completely insane. I left immediately.

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would have a doctor yell at me at 9: 30am on a Tuesday as I try to seek their guidance on a very personal matter. I would never, ever emotionally bully or guilt a patient if they had a personal emergency they needed to sort out which didn't involve me (i.e. Going to another walk-in).

I left our meeting feeling absolutely awful, violated, demoralized, and upset. I left our meeting failing to mention the personal reason why I was there. Frankly, I didn't want this woman to touch me and I was worried she would hurt me. I do not feel safe around Dr. Lyons and I urge her patients to proceed with caution.

We visit doctors at our most vulnerable moments. These moments are sacred and should never, ever be violated with aggression, gaslighting, emotional guilt-tripping or verbal abuse.

Patients are humans. I am disgusted.

Appalling customer service at the reception. Was there earlier this month, never experienced such bad customer service before at a medical clinic. Snobbish and just rude.

Women, do not see Dr. Mansingh, Sohan.if its to do anything with a lady problem. Unprofessional, uncomfortable, just wow.

I came around 14: 00. They were no longer accepting walk-ins. So I asked the receptionist what time I should come the next day. She said “we are open at 8! ” In a very loud voice, which I felt very rude. It was obvious that she does not want to talk to me even she could tell that I was very sick because my voice was terrible. I was scared to ask any more questions and went to another hospital close to this one, Highroads medical clinic. They were also closed for walk-ins, but the receptionist was kind enough to notice my sick and squeezed me in the schedule on that day. I was amazed by how different from the Kerrisdale Station Clinic. They even offer a doctor who can speak Japanese!
So overall, if you want to go see a doctor, don’t go to this place. Go to Highroads medical clinic instead. It is just 3 min on foot from this one.
