I bought a sink online and had to return and did so at this store on Oct 4th. I received no paperwork saying that I had returned the sink and was told that it would take several days for my return to go through. It’s now Oct 19th and a refund has not been processed yet. I have stopped calling the store because I can never talk to the manager. She is never there or busy, or that’s what I’ve been told. I will absolutely never purchase anything from home hardware again. 0 customer service going on.

Went to to rona first but cc machines were down came up to home hardware was washing care need some aramol wipes but got these had 40 wipes does great job cleaning your leather seats dash boards doors. Nice little place not busy staff was friendly.

Called and got left on hold for 10 minutes. Went there in person and the girls working there are not useful at all.idk who is writing these reviews but the customer service is a joke. The pos system is backwards and doesn't work. All the while the 3 girls working there just look at you like your supposed to fix the thing to be able to purchase anything from the store. 1 star is over doing it.

Small but lots of stock. Staff are keen to help you which is amazing compared to the bigger stores.

Home Hardware is one of my favorite places to shop, because I enjoy my spare time improving things around the home. Yet, when Ms. Azar Ahmadi helped me find an obscure item, I was especially impressed with her professional courtesy, confidence, grace and knowledgable sales manner. She is a very capable sales woman, and Home Hardware is very lucky to have her because she good for business!

Honestly, the best customer service I’ve ever received at a hardware store. I didn’t think I could actually enjoy going to a hardware store lol

I have been to this home hardware 4 times now. I have made multiple phone calls in regards to a sale item that has been in the flyer just about every 2 weeks. The gourmet blend wild bird food. The first time I went in to get a bag they only had two bags in which were taped because they had been chewed through by rats or something else and had lost a quarter of the bag from spillage and animals feeding on/in the bags. I said well if thats all you have left ill come back when you guys get more stock in. I called the week after and the girl who answered told me if I wanted a new bag that I would have to drive back in and pay upfront for a new bag to come in. I said "why wouldn't you just order more stock into the store, no is going to want to spend money on those two taped together bags.and they're a sale item on the flyer. " she replied with " we wont be ordering more until those bags are gone". This makes 0 sense to me. How can you have an item advertised in the flyer and only keep two ripped open tainted bags in the store for buying customers. Any staff I talk to when I go there or over the phone seems absolutely clueless as to where anything is or if they have it in stock. I asked about a propane torch attachment and the girl didn't even know where they were kept I had to show her. Every time I go in to ask about the bird food they don't know where they are and I have to walk and show them where they are kept. Absolutely ridiculous "staff" and customer service. Get it together please.

Very helpful and friendly staff. They often have what I need when the bigger stores don't.

Best service of any retail store here. You cannot set foot in this store without at least one employee asking you if they can help find what you need. First couple of times shopping here I thought it was luck but now I know every time you visit that’s their standard level of service. Impressive!

I can’t speak for the other locations, but this HH has secured the loyalty of myself & everyone I know through service that consistently exceeds expectations. It’s hard to imagine that a 24 year old girl with an “Amazon Trigger Finger” would go out of her way to frequent this location, but that’s just how stellar the customer experience they curate is. Thank you to the incredible staff — Sonya, in particular — for exemplifying the power of human connection.

There is something about this place, a small cozy store with an unbelievably large offering. People are very friendly and helpful, make you feel welcome.

I was looking for a unusual screw for my Segway. I was imagine going through a tone of different boxes to hopefully find a match. The employee there help me find the exact match in under 10 seconds. Amazing! So happy with my experience there.

Stopped in today looking for an odd fluorescent bulb. The VERY helpful young lady tried so hard to find it for us with no luck. She did however direct us to a different store where I found the bulb.
I will shop there again without fail.

Love shopping and supporting local and this store is proof why. Great little hardware store with a diverse selection and great staff to help answer any questions you may have.

Great service from the team at West-Can Home Hardware, Burnaby! Since it was nearly an hours' walk to their location, I phoned them to see if the item was in stock or not. They picked up on the 1st ring.

I gave the person answering (Kamaljeet), the part number and she looked it up on the computer. But then she went further, walking over to double-check that they physically had them on the shelf (without needing me to ask). Because there was only 3, I asked her to hold one for me and she set it aside.

When I got there, Kamaljeet turned out to be a nice lady who then went and got my item for me.

Bonus: I noted that it was cheaper than at a competitor and even less expensive than from a popular online seller of goods (which is even better because I got it in my hands right away; no waiting for a delivery).

When you combine the quickness to answer the phone, the initiative to check for physical stock on hand, the warm and friendly service, and, to top it off, the lowest price, the shopping experience here is 2nd to none. I told my sister that I am coming to here from now on.

Frankly, I don't know why I shopped at the bigger stores. By comparison, the experience at those huge American-owned stores is consistently terrible. Long waits, indifferent staff. I suffered because I was under the impression (due to their large size) that they must have the best selection and prices. But no, they don't. This Home Hardware is packed to the gills with product and they had what I want and for less money.

I want to again highlight the wonderful service I received from Kamaljeet. And the friendliness of Gurleen who rang up my item. Complements to the management too for running a good shop.

From now on, I'm giving my home renovation and van-building business to the friendly people at Home Hardware, Burnaby.

PS: did you know they are Canadian-owned? People should shop local. And with this store, their helpful staff, and great pricing, there is every reason to do so.

Went to pick up a 10 watt 12 vplt halogen bulb for my under cupboard lights and they didnt have any on the shelve but lots in the warehouse so the staff member ordered it. It takes a week cannot figure why it's not on the shelve but she said it's a good thing to stock and will ask the manager Very freindly staff.

Awesome customer service and huge supply of all kinds of items. If they don't have what you need on hand, they will get it for you. There's always someone to help close by and they all work well together to see to their customers satisfaction.
