So far we’ve basically purchased all our baby gear from West Coast Kids and we have Joyce to thank for her extensive knowledge, genuine care, and patience in taking the time to understand our needs, while educating us and ensuring we are making informed decisions for our purchases. Joyce has not only helped us with picking out a stroller and car seat for our first baby, but has also given us several valuable recommendations for other items such as, bottle sterilizer, high chair, new born clothing, breast pumps, carriers etc. Thank you Joyce for making our lives so much easier and for walking this new parents journey with us!

Very terrible service, went in with my mom my little sister and my daughter (we are indigenous). Was followed around the store the whole time. Was asked for receipt after being rung in. Everytime I looked at something or touched it was asked if I was buying it. Very disappointed. We spent 25 hundred dollars. On a wagon clothes and car seat. Unbelievable.

This store was a terrible experience. There are no ramps just stairs and multiple levels. Tried to bring my sleeping baby in a stroller and shook him up on the stairs carrying him up alone. I was then told there is a side door and that someone would see you and let you in. I already tried that door and stood there several moments with employees walking right by. I will never return for my future purchases.

Great staff, they were super helpful for doing my registry buy out. Staff were knowledgeable and able to explain different features of strollers and car seats. They sell really nice and good quality baby stuff. Some issues with things being out of stock but they were helpful in finding me alternatives or ordering it in. Overall would recommend and I'm glad I did my registry with them!

Don’t come to this store if you have a stroller, there is no ramps or accessible entrance available and not inside the store (full of stairs) ….

I've never been to the physical store as I live in Chilliwack, but we mail order regularly as they're sale prices are hard to beat from small to large and it's good service and free shipping!

I would like to start off by saying, I wish I went to this store a long time ago. The customer service was amazing, they have super cute baby stuff and the prices are decent.

I am currently pregnant and due next month. My husband and I was looking around for a crib and changing table/dresser for our baby. We ended up at another store and we seen a crib and table we really liked but they didn't have it in stock. The lady at that store was killing me! We asked her if she had the items in stock. "yes! In Ontario" she said. I was getting quite annoyed considering that. 1. That being in Ontario doesn't benefit me. And 2. If your store does not have it, it means your out of stock. ‍️

Anyways.

We went home and looked online to see if any other baby store had it in stock and we stumbled upon this store. It was 7: 40 PM when we called them and they closed at 8. The lady on the phone was straight to the point and said they did have it in stock. We asked her if we could come and get it and she said they would wait for us if we were surely going to purchase it. Me and my husband left home immediately and went to Richmond which was around 8PM. We got in and the employees helped us even though it was late.and the price was cheaper compared to some other stores. We are very pleased with the experience and we even went back a few days later to look around and do more shopping.

I saw that moon lamp and fell in love with it! It was too cute.

Had a really good experience with Ashav. She was ready to help and calmly answered all of my questions as I barely had any idea about the sizes. Great customer service.
Also, the store has a variety of options to choose from which is the best part that you don’t have to worry about going somewhere else.

Joyce provided excellent service and advice. We found everything we need for our newborn here and great experience as a first time parent.

Please answer your phone. I've emailed, left messages and haven't heard back. Today is day 3 in me trying to reach this store to see if something is in stock so we can pick it up. Such a shame, why have a phone if no one is there to answer it!

Great shop with lots of items and good prices. I found everything I was looking for here and more. Furthermore, the positive & vibrant energy of all the workers was amazing. It just feels good to buy from a place like this. 100% recommend. Ill be back here to buy all my baby stuff. ️

Called ahead of time to see if they have something in stock. Drove all the way from LANGLEY (THE SAME DAY) only for them to tell me they don’t have it in stock.

West Coast Kids is THE place to get all your baby’s things. We find they have all the popular brands and the sales associates are great with recommendations. Azima at the Richmond location helped us out the last time we were there and we really appreciate it!

I am a first time mom (expecting in July) and was overwhelmed by what I needed to buy. I met Auntie Joyce and she was amazing! She provided me with an in-depth guideline on what I needed to buy. She didn’t push me to buy anything on the spot. She was very honest, caring and helpful. I highly recommend Auntie Joyce!

I bought a lounger a week and a half ago, and because it's the end of registry sale, that its final sale (10% off). I called to ask and see if i could exchange it for something else, as i really dont need this item, and i may end up spending more at the store. BECAUSE they placed a 10% discount, they would rather lose on sale and a customer. BAD BUSINESS, for a big company.

Me and my husband were there to shop for our first newborn. I was very nervous until I met Sophia (or Sophie?). She's super patience and knowledgeable. We bought what we needed, and we will be back for sure!

Great place to find all the stuff you need for baby / toddler. Only thing is that the Richmond location is not very stroller friendly, and the parking lot have very limited spots and it can get very chaotic. Hit and miss services for sure. I’ve spoken to really helpful and nice staff in the back where the strollers / car seat is located and have experience very rude cashier in the front as well. Pricing seems to be pretty competitive with other baby stores.

What's the point of having a listed phone number if you're never going to pick up? Been trying to connect with someone for days and even left a voicemail days ago without a response back. Had to call customer service in order to ensure my husband will be able to pick up our order without issues. Upon arrival today, again, nobody answered the contactless pick up number. Had to wait in lineup for 40mins to simply request for our order. Only the sales person in the stroller section was very helpful and knowledgeable when we visited a few weeks back.

The parking here is HORRIBLE, they don’t answer their phone and it took over 15 minutes for an online order pick up.

Note to self: never do in store pickup again.

The manager at the Richmond location went above and beyond for us.
We had reserved a crib and drove from Port Moody to pick up the crib. Unfortunately the store had a power outage and could not process our order. The manager was kind and accommodating and suggested we checked out online and selected curb side pick up. I also appreciate her warehouse team for locating our crib and mattress is the dark!

First time coming here today and after reading the reviews it still holds true. Rude staff still persists in the stroller section. Not a good experience.

Hang up on me for not answering question on the phone. Called again just hang up after picking up without saying anything. Not to mention some sales' attitude that every of my friends visited felt the same.

This place is not wheelchair/stroller friendly, as there is not ramp leading up to the entrance. Even if you manage to get in, the store is divided by flights of stairs.

While the store is beautifully laid out, the overall shopping experience can be frustrating. Most (not all) of the sales associates weren't too eager to explain the different products/brands. I'm talking about big purchases like car seats, strollers, and bouncers.

Lastly, the prices seem to be higher than competing stores.

I really enjoyed shopping at this place! Auntie Joyce was wonderful! She spent so much time explaining the different types of Strollers and car seats! I'll be shopping for my whole pregnancy at this location

Chi was very helpful and knowledgeable. She performed a variety of demonstrations on the products we were interested in helping us understand our options. Highly recommend paying her a visit if u r looking for help.

Terrible experience everytime. After calling them for weeks to find out about a product, the manager promised to get back to let me know and never even had the decency of calling back once within weeks time. Their products are overpriced and pls go somewhere else and not waste your time here. Snuggle bugs is way better. These ppl are impolite and just rude and shame to the name of customer service.

So i went in with my pregnant wife and hoping to buy a Stokke stroller, ALL the workers there were having a good time talking to each other and ignored us, no greeting no anything

I just had the worst luck with sales assistants. Husband and I made a trip to the mainland specifically to shop for brands that are not available on Vancouver Island. We first had a sales assistant who didn't speak English very well - it was impossible to understand. Another sales assistant was yapping non stop without pausing for me to ask questions or tell her what I am actually interested in until I just straight up ignored her. As a result we didn't have time to properly shop for what we needed because these annoying associates just wouldn't leave us alone to discuss things between husband and I.

I love west coast kid store! The sales Sophie is being super helpful and assist me with lots of patience. As a new parent, I have no experience but Sophie gave me lots of advice! Thanks again! The store also has lots of great brands and lots of variety to choose!

Horrible experience and rude customer service. Don’t waste your time and money in this place. Owner needs to seriously consider changing their manager and train the staff to provide better customer service. What is this air they have about themselves? No clue. Don’t forget that customers make your business and if you can’t be nice to customers you will be jobless. So get off your high horses west coast kids Richmond staff.
