West Coast Medical Imaging

I had a great experience at West Coast Medical Imaging in Coquitlam. The clinic is new and modern, with comfortable waiting areas and friendly staff. I had an appointment for an ultrasound and I only waited for 10 minutes before I was called in.

The technician was very professional and fast, and explained everything clearly. The whole process took less than an hour and I was out of there with no hassle.

I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone who needs medical imaging services.   This is a 6 minute walk from the Burquitlam Skytrain station

Incredibly unprofessional, my son had an ultrasound booked for his shoulder and they told us they couldn’t do it at this location and to call and make another appointment somewhere else. Brutal

This morning I had my first Xray at this clinic. The receptionist was very friendly & welcoming. I am a wheelchair user & was delighted to find that their check in desk was at my level & was operational. (Most medical offices have them piled high with junk, so I’m forced to use the high desk, which is ridiculous.)

The office is immaculate and bright. I was a walk in patient & I was seen in a matter of minutes. My technologist was friendly, quick and efficient. He said my GP will have my X-rays later today. That’s fast!

I am pleased that this new imaging centre is so close to home & provides excellent care. There operating hours are super convenient. I will definitely be recommending this centre to friends & family & it’s where I will choose to go for future medical imaging.

Put in multiple appointment requests over the course of 3 weeks. And tried calling over 15 times, each time I waited 30+ minutes on hold. Eventually I got another location to answer who informed me they didn't have an appointment available for over a month at any location. I need an appointment within 3 weeks to check on my baby. The worst customer service I have ever received. When I asked what I should do because other clinics wouldn't take me because they did my first scan the response was basically "don't know don't care".

Friendly staff. I walked in to get an X-ray. The technician was quick, professional and kind.

I had my ultrasound today with Tiara and she was absolutely amazing! She was so knowledgeable and friendly. I’ve had very bad experiences with West Coast Medical Guildford/120 st locations and she was such a breath of fresh air. Highly recommend her and I hope to book with her for next appointment. Thanks for making my experience as first time parents so special for me and my husband

Extremely poor service, no customer service skills. First they don’t had good parking signs to guide you to the building because it’s your first time here. Secondly if you’re late because of the traffic and their UNMANAGED PARKING you’re getting no service. And the receptionist said it might be hard to get someone for me. Even If I’m 7 minutes late. Another thing I didn’t had enough bladder pressure, rather than asking me to wait they scheduled me for another 3 weeks. What if the person needs this scan urgently? I could give 0 starts and Never recommend, worst service ever.

The receptionist at the Coquitlam location is blunt and curt, not suitable for front line duties.

I have to say that the ultrasound technician was not patient at all. He refused to make a friendly conversation. Always replied with a NO to our questions and waited impatiently outside the room while my husband was getting dressed after the process. We both felt we were not welcomed here. This was the most frustrating experience we’ve had in years. We are definitely not coming back to this place again. If you choose this place, I suggest you think twice.

I went for a X_ray imaging.someone who was in charge asked me to open my mouth. I could not undrestant what he did mean maybe because of wearing mask or another reason.after repeating two times.he yelled at me "open your mothhhhh as much as you cannnnn "

Went for a walk-in appointment: chest x-ray was super fast, in and out of there within 30 min. Receptionist and technician were very nice as well.

Today I came for the appointment at 3: 15 PM and wanted to share the experience that I had with this South Asian Receptions. When first came to hand out my paper, she didnt even look at me nor advise to wait for a sec. So I said I have parked under neath and needs to register and she said thats fine and then I have requested to my results to go to different dr and she didnt even look nor said anything. So i asked her did you hear what i said? She looks at me like I am some kind of Jerk and said I am not done so i cant help you.are you kidding me? Didnt you learn to say, Hi Sir i am just in the middle of something, Could you please wait? Like didnt you go to school? No Joke and the the worse part is, she told me that its my job to cross out the Dr name on the paper if I dont my results to send out. I was like are you joking with me? How am I suppose to know if i have to cross it out? This is no Joke at all.

To the lady,
dont think that you runs the place and learn to be kind and work with smile lady.

Had an ultrasound done here at 38 wks pregnant as my midwife requested a second opinion on a measurement. The tech was a bit arrogant and said big baby due to my nutrition - he has no idea about my medical history and made it seem like I was going to have an 11 pound baby then stated the baby was measuring approximately 8 lbs 12 oz - not big at all and obviously no knowledge of the female body and it’s capabilities! I didn’t think techs could discuss results but to simply pass results along to care providers. It wasn’t what he was saying, it was how he said it and especially to someone who is approaching birth in a few days/weeks. Just left feeling so defeated and an over all negative experience, riddled with worry.

I was at West coast Images on Tuesday November 8 th. I had an X-ray. The facility was very clean and calm. The lady receptionist named Shamsia a nice sweet lady with white long hair greyed me with smile and guided me to email my request. Then she handed it to my while I was sitting, I was limping. Then Richard came an did the x ray with patience very friendly. I was so pleased and satisfied. Again on the way out I said good buy to Shamsia and asked for her name, she very humble at the time very efficient, she also was nice to other clients which it didn’t go unnoticed. Thank you Wast Coast Images for your great service.

I'm not sure why this clinic has poor reviews.

I arrived to my appointment just on time (I could not make it 15 minutes before as suggested on my requisition) and I was not given any attitude from the reception. In fact she was friendly, saw me right away and offered my husband and I a mask since we forgot ours and it was mandatory to wear one in the clinic (there was a big sign on the door).

The waiting room was full, but it moved quickly. I waited for less than 10 minutes and it was my turn. I consider this to be expected as sometimes I wait for longer at my own family doctors office.

During my scan, the technician was professional and thorough. He did what he had to do and then after showed and explained to me what he was looking at. We then brought in my husband to share the news.

Overall my experience was positive and I would definitely come back here again!

They leave you on hold for long long time over 30 min to just book an appt. When you sent in request over their website as they recommend, they give you a call leaving voicemail not during regular hours, which you might even get if you are out of province as i was, but assume you show up despite not confirming w them date and time. Then they blame you for not showing up, and then barely understand when talking about requisitions. Very poor comprehension of the language and lack professional manners. Such bad service, I hope the in person visit goes better.

Trust the bad reviews. They closed an hour early today when I came in shortly after 4pm and refused to budge at all. Go to any other x-ray/ultrasound clinic, I guarantee you a better experience! Good riddance.

Receptionist wasn't very friendly. Technician who did my ultrasound barely talked to me during the procedure and only explained when my husband was in the room with us what we were seeing on the screen. Barely 5 minutes of explanation, very quick. It would have been nice if we got to look at our baby a bit longer, but she seemed like she just wanted us out as soon as possible. Appointment lasted 15 minutes tops. Will try going to a different west coast medical imaging next time maybe.but it looks like all their branches don't have very nice technicians: (

Just go to another location and don't waste your time and energy with such lazy people.

Both my wife and I have been to this place, my experience was ok the technician was late and I waited for almost an hr and I was the first one! One thing for sure is the front desk is very slow so plan ahead and one last thing some of the staff are quite rude.

Got a call back from them and they're unbelievably rude on the phone. The receptionist on the other line grunted as if she was annoyed on the other line as I was verifying the details on the phone. I'm a polite and friendly person on the phone so if your patience is this small honestly find another job that doesn't involve speaking to vulnerable patients.

Not sure why all the bad reviews. Perhaps the person who everyone gave a bad review is no longer there? First time at this location after they moved from Austin. (Never had a problem there either!) Came by on Saturday late afternoon as a walk-in for X-ray; had about 3 people in front of me; waited maybe 20 mins; got my X-ray by the technician who was very friendly and efficient. Out in literally 3 mins. I suppose my X-ray was not complex so easier but not sure about all the hate here. Will come back again if needed!

Terrible experience lady at the front desk is really hard to understand and isn’t personable at all quite rude. Waited over an hour with my wife for her ultrasound to see our baby which they said I would be allowed to join when she was finally let in the technician told me I wasn’t allowed. Pretty ridiculous customer service.

The staff just likes saying "NO" to people. They couldnt do my x ray at the time so when I was about to say "I want to set up an appointment" she just said " No x ray at this time" before I could start my sentence.and when I fianlly said what I wanted to say she went "No appointments for X ray WALK IN ONLY" with a serious attitude.this isnt the only place to get x rays or other treatments.go somewhere else
EDIT: seems like a lot of the people have the similar issue with same person lady with black hair and glasses.

Really awful experience lady was rude and didn’t help at all. I was a little late and she tried to rebook probably so they can bill the appointment even though they don’t do anything. Every question she asked was quiet and rude definitely won’t be going here ever again.

Went for my detailed ultrasound. The technician had bo bed aide manners and poked me for an hour in silence. He took some blurry pictures of baby. I would not go back
