This place has excellent products—we especially like the gammon bacon. Without them, this place would be a 1-star write-off. I'm writing this review because I hope the owner will read it and reconsider their business practices so that I can continue being a customer for many years to come.
Unfortunately, it is a victim of it's own management practices. The biggest problem is their unreliable hours. My partner and I have all but given up trying to shop there because it feels like a waste of time guessing if they are actually open when they say they are or not. It's actually the reason I'm writing this review: I just got back from the dog park down the street and was hoping to have some of their delicious bacon for breakfast, and now I have to have a disappointing peanut butter sandwich.
The owner is surprisingly unfriendly, even towards customers, which makes me suspect it's part of the reason they can't hire and retain enough qualified staff to keep the place open at reasonable shopping hours (e.g, Saturday at 9: 30AM). Whatever their problem is in their personal life, they need to deal with it and leave it at the door when their running their business.

Similar experience to the cart review. Except my partner went to take a photo of some of the selection to send to me about what to get and the lady yelled at him… Not a nice experience sadly

I went there once and while I was looking at the products the Cashier lady kept an eye on us like we were gonna steal something, she didn’t even approach us to ask if we needed any help, so we left without buying anything of course

Came here to buy some meats and the lady yelled at me for bringing the cart in her store. There was nobody else in the store and the cart was not blocking anything. After this I walked straight out and left behind what I wanted to buy. Lost your sale and your customer. Will never buy anything here again

Rude blonde, European older lady has horrible customer service skills. This is a recurring theme in the reviews. If you shop here, you enable the bad behaviour to continue. Don’t support this business!

This deli is fantastic. Far superior, quality meats compared to what's available next door. There are some interesting specialty products too like organic, locally farmed eggs and some imported European foodstuffs too. I've purchased some fine mustards and horseradish from here. Highly recommended.

I go here all the time, the product is top quality and the prices on most items are hard to beat. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with the owner/operator.
Disregard the negative reviews from the people who say they were told not to photograph the product, this is a very common policy in the small business world and does not justify a negative review.
They stand behind their product, and are willing to offer samples of the different meats for you to try before you make a purchase.
Also, if you like quality Pate or Foi Gras, this is the place to go, none of those products are frozen, or older than 7 days from production.
Best local shop to put together a killer charcuterie board, with lots of exotic smoked meats and cheeses.

The older lady working at the counter is extremely rude. They sell "dog" food but when asked if it is for dogs, they will tell you "no, but give it to ur dog at ur own risk. " Yet they sell it as dog bones/food. Get your information straight. IS IT DOG FOOD OR IS IT NOT?
Couldnt answer question on whether the bone is raw smoked or cooked smoked.
Hope this place shuts down soon. No place for business owners like this.

I've been here a few times, and can't say I've had a positive experience. The owner of the shop completely bad mouthed another meat shop, for no reason or rhyme, and then insulted me when I asked what the best way to season a turkey leg was. "I have no idea how YOUR culture eats it! " which I will take as blatantly racist, along with other remarks. Will not be going again and would not recommend. Very disappointing.

Very well prepared meats but I never had more pretentious customer service. Rude and unprofessional.

Customer service is non existent. The blonde lady yelled at us for trying to take a picture of their meats.
Also, check the expiry dates. A lot of their products are expired! Is that why they’re so against photos?

This is a great place for European quality foods.
They smoke their own meats. You can get Pastrami, Smoked Beef and Smoked Meat in
small vacuum sealed packages. Good quality
Cheeses including some unusual European ones again in smaller packages.
Their Indian Candy is the best and their Smoked Salmon Lox is fantastic and very reasonably priced. They also have many kinds of freshly made sausages including Moroccan and Italian varieties. They always offer you samples of their products and have been to offer a special price on something you might like to try. I learned about their Smoked chicken that way. Plus they have a freezer with all sorts of other goodies including two thick Buffalo Burgers for about $12. I have found their products superior to items found elsewhere.
