I called to get a quote. They made me go to their website and fill out a form to request a quote. Someone did call me back several hours later and gave me a quote. When I went to actually get insurance the next day, the actual cost was almost double what I was quoted. Not sure what happened there, but there was nothing about this experience that would interest me in giving this company any more business.

Came in with a rather complex issue and was immediately sorted out. My agent Christina Brook was awesome to deal with. I am ignorant to matters of insurance and she took time to explain everything.

This place is not concerned one bit with the customer. I have been here waiting 1 hour. In that time two people were served while four people have waited. Two others came and gave up (good call). The entire time there has been a "New Agent in Training". Fair enough. We all watched as this training took place. The trainer then stands up to apologize for the wait, adding that "Labour law now requires us to take lunch. " Off they both go to the lunch room. Four of us remain, incredulous. What a waste of salaries and real estate.

We are trying to buy car insurance here and they have multiple people working but only 1 of them helping customers. The others are just looking at everyone waiting, and smiling. The wait time is way to long and the people here dont care that the waiting room is full and there is a line out the door. 0 customer service. I would recommend not coming here for any insurance because if they dont care if they sell you insurance they wont be there to help you if you need something down the road.

Phone wait was over 20 mins so decided to hang up and go to the branch in person. Wait at branch was over 30mins long. Came in Monday before noon and I believe they only had one person on shift at the time. Is everyone expected to wait 30mins? At least save us a spot in line with a queue or something so we don’t mindlessly wait

I regret purchasing my renter's insurance through them for a condo I moved into in June 2020. I experienced a flood in early October 2020 and the insurance adjuster assigned to my claim was extremely rude and dismissive. I don't understand professionality of an insurance adjuster walking through my unlivable condo one week after a flood and insisting I move back in when no restoration had been completed, and renovations had not begun. The bathroom vanity hanging off the wall she told me "to be careful around". I ended up moving by the end of the month instead. Now I'm trying to cancel the policy, as it will apparently renew no matter what. I received no communication from Western Coast Insurance since my final cheque for my claims in late 2020 (to my new address). If you leave a message, do not expect someone to return your call for at least 5 days. Or wait on hold for 20-30mins to transfer, and have to leave another message.
