A simple vehicle transfer took far longer than it should because the supervisor was allowing a trainee to do the transfer without actually supervising. This transfer was done improperly because of it, and the result was that tax was not charged for the private sale. I was told to come back to pay the tax, which I attempted to two days in a row but a shoddily printed piece of paper saying "OFFICE CLOSED" had hung up on both days, and I assume the they would reach out to me to rectify this situation instead at this point because the error was on them.

What instead happened was CRA contacted me 2 weeks after notifying me that the insurance broker claimed I did not pay taxes on this sale, and conveniently left out the resulting documents of their complete screw up on this sale. The vehicle was officially appraised for less than market value, but this was also conveniently left out to the audit agent unbeknownst to his knowledge. I spent a week of my own time rectifying the situation and having to snail mail the appropriate amount of taxes directly to Victoria B. C.

A simple call asking me to come in on my convenience would've solved the entire headache that followed, but instead my case was forwarded to the CRA because of their agent's full error. I don't expect top knotch service at an insurance broker, but I certainly didn't expect to be bent over and screwed by your complacency.
