Unfortunately I had a very frustrating experience with Westland recently when renewing my condo insurance and I was not getting replies back to my follow up emails and from the end of August to the beginning of October I was going back and forth regarding my rate. I’d encourage the company to have their employees set out of office notifications when they’re away, so people know why their emails aren’t being answered. Also, I tried to cancel my policy a little while later (received a better rate through a group policy) and didn’t receive a refund. When I followed up, at least the service was quick but they had not processed my refund and if I hadn’t followed up I don’t know if I even would have gotten it. Overall, my customer service experience was not great.

Other insurance apparently couldn't enter account # correct TWO TIMES.

Aaron Cook-Sloat really went above and beyond today! I have used Westland Insurance previously but with all the ICBC changes I ended up submitting my insurance online through ICBCs own site. Needless to say, it's never the same as working through an agent. Aaron called up to check on my renewal, we discussed all the changes, my submission and the nagging feeling I had about if I had done it correctly since I never heard back from anyone. Aaron took the time to verify my submission, identified an issue and chased ICBC for a rebate to boot! Can't say enough, my gratitude and appreciation to Aaron for really taking the time and ensuring I was taken care of. Thank you, thank you! See you next year!

I have my home owners insurance with them.for 20 years. I have had 4 claims.a flood, 3 robberies. No issues.they handled the claims and paid out in a timely manner.they call annually to review the policy

Too expensive. Earthquake too expensive. Deductible insurance for building deductible too expensive.

They always seem to have my back. I spoke with Paulette at the Willoughby branch who I've spoken to numerous times before. She really knows her stuff.

I recently visited this branch of Westland insurance for registration of my vehicle. The associate that helped me was extremely knowledgeable of the different aspects of auto insurance and she was very polite. The process of insuring my vehicle went along quicker and smoother than I anticipated. I would recommend this location to anyone looking to insure their vehicle.

I recieved great customer services and they always treat you well and answer all your questions.

The agents here were quick to greet and help me, but I was quite frustrated with the overall experience. I was not asked even basic questions that would have saved me money on my car insurance. Had I not been already aware of some of the cost savings available under the new ICBC program, I would have overpaid by hundreds of dollars simply because assumptions were made without asking me for answers instead. I will certainly be going elsewhere to look over my policy and for my future insurance needs.

Its Jacob here. Came to your branch after a frustrating day but Rajnish dealt with my situation very professionally and got impressed with her knowledgeable skills. Patiently answered all my questions about the new rules of ICBC. Kudos to your company to have an employee like her!

This is my go to place for insurance. Ever since I moved out here, 6 years ago, I have been getting my insurance renewed through Westland. Amazing customer service, they let you know what's available but don't pressure you to upgrade and the brokers there are great with kids, which is a major plus!

Went to this location a week ago to get new insurnace after 10months moving back from Alberta. So we were already in the system previously. The lady had no idea how to get out of Provence insurance, was talking about bill of sale. Told her our car is 2 yrs old so no need out of Province inspection but she was still asking for that. Asked her if she knows how to do it, said no. We were willing to wait for another agent who was busy with another customer but the 1st lady said she wont onke as she hasn't done it before. Very bas experience and this is not the agents fault I think management should train the employees better.
Having said that I went to the other location of Westland and there the staff was amazing even if they were not 100% sure with ICBC 's new system they did take their time and make sure everything was organized.

Friendly staff, have moved all my car insurance there, I get travel insurance there and trying to get house insurance
quotes.

I have been a customer here for nine years.

We went in to Willoughby to transfer ownership, cancel insurance policies both ICBC and Westland private insurance.
Confirmed with the lady everything is looked after, Nothing is going to come out of my account. She assured me nothing would.
Perfect. Left happy. 3 days later Westland comes out of our account. Mistakes happen called. They said they would email Paulette
The Manager. Have her call me. It is now 12 days later and I am still chasing her for our money. Paulette Promises she will call or call me back never does. Excuses, excuses. Called Head Office in Surrey. Same thing.
They admit this is their error! Paulette says she cant reverse it and she cant cut me a cheque. The list of Excuses and BS Paulette will speak with my Regional Manager and call you back. Surprise Paulette has not called back.
$120 is a lot of money to me. Paulette and Westland Insurance admit we are owed the money, yes it was their mistake.
NEVER will I Westland Insurance Again.
