Ask for SAHIL! He was so patient with me trying to send over a document and he helped me change my due date without having to go in! A lot of agents either transfered me or just said "I have to come in". This is not true. Please ask for him on your next visit!

The people they hire here are incredibly inexperienced and don’t communicate well at all. I was renewing my insurance and before I signed anything, I asked how much my insurance was going to cost and that I’d like to pay my yearly insurance up front. They said they already setup monthly payments and can’t return the $75 finance fee. They literally renewed my insurance without even telling me how much I was paying or me giving them the ok to renew it. I expressed no interest in setting up any type of monthly payments, and it all happened literally within 5 minutes of me sitting down. Worst communication from an insurance broker I’ve ever seen.

Michelle and Laurie went above and beyond helping me deal with an apparently tricky situation with my deceased father’s car, located in a different area and unusual strata requirements. They helped me for over an hour and a half, 3 calls directly with ICBC and an email to the strata manager. I highly recommend their service, it is top notch! I am very grateful for such kindness at such a difficult time

The people here are awesome. I always have a lot of questions and they always know how to solve my issues. They don't push the "extra" insurance either. I always go here when I need extra insurance for a trip or something. The prices are reasonable and comparable to other insurance places.

Don’t like having to buy insurance, but the knowledgeable, friendly staff look out for my bottom line and suggest ways of saving while making sure I’m covered. Done all my off road vehicles, daily drivers and also pay my fines here.

Avoid this place! They don't know what they are doing and will always make you do extra work and pay more money for no reason. Numerous times they have wasted my time and money. I only went to this place every time because it was close to my house. But 3/5 times they have really frustrated me.
I just went to another place and the process is always so much smoother in regards to transferring vehicles or getting commercial insurance.
This Westland insurance place is only good for the most basic of insurance tasks. They lack the knowledge and experience of anything else.
I will be never going back to this place again and hopefully writing this review will remind me to avoid this place as well.

Very dissapointed in the service here. My sister bought a new vehicle and moved away leaving me to sell her old car with a completed set of transfer papers for the new buyer. In the name section she put her first name in front of her last (you are supposed to write last name first). I pointed this out to her and she corrected it (put a x on her first name then wrote it again behind her last name). Not only did they refuse to transfer it to the new buyer but they told him that if he took it to another agent they would have it audited and the car repossessed. This is absolutely rediculous over something as small as the order of the name (she is a young girl and this was her first vehicle she had ever had to do papers for) and now she is stuck choosing between potentially losing the sale of the only serious buyer we have had over a month of listing and showing the car or spending hundreds of dollars on fuel or a plane ticket to fill out a new set of paperwork.

I've dealt with this location and 2 occasions. Once when purchasing a vehicle about a year ago, and once on the phone not 10 minutes ago. Both instances left me annoyed and frustrated.
A year ago, my husband and I purchased a vehicle, and needed to insure it. I don't remember all the details, so I'll be vague and fair. Part of the confusion and frustration was due to not having the correct signatures, and some other discrepancy with out paperwork. Fine, totally my own fault. Due to this, our transfer papers needed to be re-done 3 times, and we had to run back to the person we purchased the vehicle from, to do so. On one of these sets of transfer papers, the person we dealt with fill;ed out part of the paperwork for us, and then told us we couldn't use those papers now because of how we wanted it insured. Again, I don't recall all the details, but it had something to do with our BC parks plates from our previous vehicle, which was in my husbands name, and wanting to put this new-to-us car in both our names. So we left very annoyed and frustrated, because our adjuster was very blunt and not at all sympathetic to our confusion, had no remorse sending us back to the purchaser, and even almost made us do it a second time. We left vowing to not return to this location.
Fast forward to today, I receive a call from this location. The girl on the phone asked for 'Tyler', my name is Taylor. Not a great start, and i don't even know who's calling yet. I correct her, and ask if she's looking for 'Taylor', and said 'speaking' To which she replies "Yes, is he available? " Not to nit-pick here, but A- I already said I was speaking, and B- I'm a woman, and that kinda rubbed me the wrong way. Especially after being called 'Tyler'. So the call was to let me know my insurance was up for renewal - side note, I already did this last week, I feel like they could have looked that up, but not sure.
So as a customer service employee, calling a customer to ask them to return to your business, you think you could take a second to get their name right before you ask for their business? No, they likely don't know my gender or how I identify. In this day and age you can't make any assumptions, all that aside it just seemed rude and like they didn't care they were butchering my name and asking for my business.

TL;DR - insured a vehicle a year ago, and some paperwork had to be redone several times, and had to return to purchaser. Adjuster had no sympathy, and messed up one set of paperwork, tried to send us back again. Got a call for renewal reminder a year later, person called me by the wrong name AND gender. Staff don't seem helpful, and don't seem to care about their customers.

By far the worst insurance place ever I will never go to any westland insurance ever agin.she was rude didn't know anything about what she was doing and when I asked for the manager she side I am the manager and I'm not playing your stupid games and told me to leave. I'll be sure to inform anyone I can to avoid westland insurance at all costs

This is probably my least favorite place to get auto insurance. The staff here come across as rude and unfriendly. The staff are lazy and do not want to go that extra mile to help. I was told by an insurance agent at Westland that something wasn't possible and she couldn't help me. I went to Saxbee and they not only helped me but they did it with a smile. So did she lie just to get out of helping me? But I did give them another chance and I experienced a similar situation. Are these people just not wanting business?

Not that I recommend anyone risk showing up right at closing time, but the staff here welcomed me into the premises and didn’t once make me feel like I was a burden to them as I was there for about 15 minutes after they’d technically closed. These ladies were great! Tannis was kind enough to let me in and Krystal didn’t rush me at all and even had to help me through a unique situation with the insuring of our tent trailer.

I’d absolutely recommend this outfit! They’ve obviously done something to promote a great attitude and warm atmosphere.

Thanks Krystal and Tannis for your help! You could have easily, and rightfully, asked me to come back another day but you didn’t. I’m very grateful so many, many thanks!
