Renewed my insurance over the phone with Shairen Singla. Process could not have been easier.

Because it is only insurance company within 10min drive. So I went there. But the nice lady I met is not very familiar with Autoplan business.
I just pass the roadtest so I want to reduce the insurance price asap. But the lady insist the autoplan will automatically reduced the price. No, they wont. And it cost me 1600 more CAD per year.the People is nice but need to train more about Autoplan.
I left the place and get the price reduced by another insurance company right away.
The trick is simple, you (insurance broker) need to call ICBC.not just give me the ICBC card, I cannot fix the price, that is broker's job.

I recommend avoiding this location, incompetent staff caused us to waste time and money during the process of transferring vehicle ownership after the passing of a family member and owner of that vehicle. They incorrectly explained the rules and requirements for transferring ownership from the deceased to the executor/executrix of the will that resulted in us transferring the ownership to the deceased’s estate in order to be able to renew the vehicles insurance. We were then properly informed by a lawyer, and realized that we could’ve completed the desired transfer if it wasn’t for this business’ improper assumptions and failure to ask us the necessary questions to resolve any confusion relating to the deceased’s asset/property ownership. Proper handling of this situation would’ve resulted in us being able to properly complete this ownership transfer and avoid us having to complete an additional transfer at a different insurance branch later on at additional cost to us. The second business recommended us to contact this Westland location explaining the situation and requesting a refund for our first ownership transfer costs due to being misinformed, but after multiple emails to the manager, we received no response or solution to this situation. A lack of knowledge of the services they offer, and the manager’s poor customer service, communication, and consideration to the people they deal with makes me urge others to avoid this business and complete your insurance needs at one of the many other insurance branches in the area. However, it should be mentioned that Coreen was pleasant to work with and is the most knowledgeable and competent individual in this location.

Best ICBC renewal experience ever. Over the phone and by online process, Coleen Thompson made this a easy renewal without the need to go into their office.

Way more complicated than it needs to be. They called to remind me to renew and when I phoned, they said you have to email us and include in that email a statement that "i consent to xxxxx and my DL number and birthdays and phone number and. " And when I asked if then had a proforma email they could send me which essentially said that and I could respond saying I agree they said "oh no we can't do that, ICBC says we cant solicit". But they actually called me on the phone to say I should renew! Then i have to send them yet another email (yes another) saying yes I agree to all of this. Might still be quicker than driving in to the office to renew but seems unnecessarily redundant and complicated.

Upon entering the office I was greeted with a pleasantly warm welcome from both Patrice and Coreen. I had a slightly out of the ordinary request that both of them without hesitation endeavored to solve. They quickly found a solution and were very knowledgeable and informative about their product as they worked.

Have enjoyed signing in to pay my 2020 ICBC car license and insurance today online, with phone instructions for June 21/2020, on June 3,2020.

Used these guys last year it's renewal time so headed over to renew. I asked the person dealing with me if it had gone up or down Apparently they do not have that information. "But I was with you last year? " "You'll have to look on last year's paper work. " was the reply.
OK so we're finishing up I and tried to exchange thank yous but she didn't want to say it. I feel like if I could I'd cancel and go elsewhere. I definitely will next year. NO THANK YOU NO CUSTOM FROM ME!

We have our home and both cars with Westland Ocean Park but what is going ON with this place lately? !
So convenient for us in the OP area, such great coverage, great hours of operation, flawless claims management and guidance in the past but the one-on-one customer service has gotten laughable. The last two times I have gone in to do something incredibly simple and been met with such ineptitude, delays, computer malfunctions, and blank stares to basic questions that I begrudgingly collected my papers and went elsewhere BOTH TIMES, and this was after leaving everything with them for half an hour, running some errands and coming back! Renewing basic car insurance and replacing stolen plates should not take the better part of an hour and three associates to accomplish, should it?

EDIT: It is the Ocean Park branch and NOT Westland. I just renewed had an absolutely quick, seamless, knowledgeable and professional experience with Amandip Sohal in the Bentall branch of Westland. Night and day.

Came in to renew insurance. Brittany helped me by confirming my coverage was sufficient. She was polite and very professional.
