Moving from East Coast to West Coast and being new to the province, we needed to get insurance for our car. I shopped around for home insurance for roughly a month, collecting quotes from various providers and came across Westland near the end of the process where Scott took care of my policy. I came into the branch in person to pay for the policy and was very pleased by Scott's level of service and proffesionalism. Highly recommend!

I came by to reinsure a car and had previously reserved plates over the phone. Waine was extremely helpful and friendly throughout the entire process and helped answer all my questions in detail. I would go out of my way to visit Waine for my next insurance renewal.

Understaffed. 2 workers, big line up. Both workers just chit chatting about irrelevant nonsense, taking their sweet time while we all wait in line. People have left frustrated with their poor work ethic while I've waited in line. Please consider our time. My time is too valuable to me to let you wantonly waste it like this.

Arrived at 8: 30pm, closing time was 9pm. Had to beg the Agent to do my insurance, he insisted it would take atleast 45 mins to finish, and was really unhappy about me coming in so late. He finished by 8: 45, and was being a cry baby the whole time. I mean 3 agents working and not one can stay overtime possibly for only 5 - 10 mins to help a customer get insured? SHAME.

Waine assisted me in renewing my vehicle’s insurance. I had called in advance to make sure they were still open, and when I arrived Waine asked if I was the person who had called because he was going to wait for me before closing up.

Everything was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Really appreciated how smooth the process was.

I haven't even fully finalized my insurance yet, but I just wanted to write a review on my experience with Debra so far. She went through all the different options with us in person, really fully understood my situation and even found ways to help me save on costs.

She also sent me an email after explaining all of the things that were added and went out of her way to ensure that everything we needed would be covered. She also included several add-ons that she felt we might need in the future. I am shocked at how wonderful her service is. Debra should be promoted at Coquitlam Centre.

Had a very pleasant experience there recently with the insurance advisor Waine and his associate. He explained things clearly and in a friendly, warm manner. Lots of COVID precautions in place, such as sanitizer and plexiglas barriers. The overall atmosphere was relaxed. Recommended for anyone looking for insurance. Conveniently located in the mall.

Terrible costumer service, the lady who spoke to my mother and I was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I asked a question she just stared me down and didn't say anything. She was also demanding in the way she spoke and answered my other questions very harshly. Clearly lacking training or not fit for a profession where costumer service is crucial. I do not recommend this location at all.
The younger girl that helped me renew my insurance was okay though, but the older lady who was terribly impolite absolutely ruined the experience. I have no idea how they have hired someone like her to work there!
As someone who has worked in costumer service roles in the past I can tell that she was very unprofessional at her job. I hope they can provide her with better training.

I love being discriminated against because I have an older car! They won't insure my 2003 Acura because its not 10 years old or newer. I also have an older RV as well but guess what? Its too old. Thanks Westland! I will be taking all of my car, home, boat and motorcycle insurance elsewhere.

EDIT: So 'Romesh' just tried to call me from Westland to see why I gave them a bad review. He noticed I had transactions from 2015 and 2017 but nothing newer than that. Do you know why? Because they won't insure my 17 year old car! Thats why I don't have a recent history with Westland. Romesh, please re-read my review for the answer to your question.

I needed to make a change to my insurance, so I headed for the London Drugs in the mall. I saw a line up, and decided to leave - and saw the Westland insurance right there. Waine greeted me right away, kept me entertained while he upgraded my car insurance, and even performed some tricks (a pen miraculously flew across his desk on account of an accidental slip of the wrist to our surprise and amusement - who knew insurance could be so fun and exciting.) I enjoyed the experience, Waine was very respectful and friendly. Thank you for arranging for me to pay 700 dollars more on my insurance, Waine! Keep an eye on those crazy pens ;)

Very convenient, inside the Superstore. Not many insurance places are open Sunday in Poco, this one is and it stays open later than others. Knowledgeable & friendly staff.

2 weeks ago, my brother and I were helped by Debra and it was very refreshing to encounter the level of customer service she had. I've been a Westland insurance customer for a few years now. First, I started with my car insurance done there; later on, after I got a very good deal for my home insurance from Westland, I switched my home insurance from another company to Westland. I especially like to praise the work of Dmitry, in the Coquitlam Centre branch, who has been my car insurance adviser for all those years. Dmitry is highly knowledgeable in his field and very friendly. He explains every detail of the policy, provides various alternatives, and recommends the best option. His positive and calm attitude makes the experience of purchasing insurance pleasant. Highly recommend Westland and, in particular, Dmitry.

I’m an insurance broker myself and had to attend this location for a car sale and the staff weren’t very inviting nor happy to be there. It’s the opposite of how I am with my clients so I found it very strange.

That blonde that works in there is so rude, she tips, the paper from you and throws right back at you just as fast. Doesnt say hi, when greeted. Just seems like she hates being there and people. Westland is always been good! Sucks that my first experience at this branch was horrible.

Arrived at this location for an auto insurance renewal. When I arrived there was only one customer ahead of me and two agents when there are 9 stations available. Not only is there a lack of staff, both of the agents are helping this ONE customer and I was not acknowledged. They were clearly having a conversation and not working. There were other customers who walked in after me and also walked out due to the lack of acknowledgement and customer service. It was supposed to be a simple auto renew. I waited for more than 15 mins and just left. I will not come back ever again.

If you are looking at affordable insurance plan, this is not the place. They will politely tell you their policy is above the premium of their competitors. I like their honesty.
