Just wanted to add that the manager of Westland Insurance reached out to me regarding my review. We had a good discussion and resolved my issues. I really appreciate the personal touch, have always preferred to support local businesses and will continue to do business with this company.

Got to the office early to renew my car insurance, may have been the first one in this morning. Got served right away. Listened as the insurance agents were saying that they would do anything to not have to do the ICBC renewals, didn't think anything of it. Answered all the questions, the agent was obviously on automatic when she told me where to "initial here" and "sign there". Paid my bill on Visa, my fault I did not look at the amount. Got home and noticed I had paid almost $100 more than I was told I owed for insurance. Luckily, before phoning I checked my bill and discovered there was a charge for license renewal, my trained agent never mentioned that to me. She had one job to do and, because she was bored, she didn't even do it accurately and conscientiously. You may do these renewals all day, every day, but I do it once a year and I would appreciate it if you would take the time to explain all the details to me.

I always go to Westland Insurance in Chemainus whenever I need to renew insurance on company vehicles. We have a large number of drivers listed on our policies which exceeds the parameters of the ICBC program causing it to lock up. Despite this issue, Cheryl and Bailey are always welcoming and professional and take the time to work around the systems limitations. In the end I walk out with all of our drivers listed on our policies.
I highly recommend them for your insurance needs.

Always friendly and helpful, but I do not like the fact that the Chemainus Branch is closed on Saturdays when all other branches are Open! I had to do it by phone which was alright, but they were taken by surprise that it was closed, when all other branches were open.

About a week ago I had an excellent experience with Cheryl Warmenhoven, an insurance advisor. We came in about 10-15 minutes before closing time as we had not been planning on doing a vehicle ownership transfer and insurance that day initially but she was kind and happy to help us. She really went above and beyond to help and even filled in the majority of the transfer form for us (she was clearly a lot faster than we were!), and on top of all that, was so pleasant to deal with. Very happy with our experience, thanks Cheryl!

We were given the option to compete our insurance over the phone but opted to go in person. When we went they were very busy so we had a bit of a wait. This is not unusual anywhere these days. We appreciated the respectful and considerate way we were treated by them.

The service and staff of Westland Chemainus have gone above and beyond to help my family with all our insurance needs. The branch manager Tammie Muir​ has made it her mission to see that all my needs and concerns where more than adequately looked after. I have had years of experience with many firms and Westland Chemainus is definitely the best and we will continue to contact them for all our insurance needs! Very happy!

Everyone at Westland Insurance we're so friendly and helpful. Purchasing a home from Ontario to a home located in Chemainus was a big undertaking. Evelyn was so helpful and upbeat through our new adventure, she arranged all our insurance needs seeing that we met our closure date successfully. I phoned the office when I received my notice for car renewal insurance and asked if, due to Covid 19, I could do it all over the phone, and was told yes. I was immediately looked after, answered a few questions, gave her my VISA number and it was done! They emailed me documents to sign/initial which I did.and it was finished. They will mail me my Vehicle decal and a copy of the insurance. What could be easier?

Very good personal service in the midst of this "pandemic"! I was so impressed by the adapting of the business to go totally "online" with service for the renewing of my auto insurance. Quick and easy!

Just went into the Chemainus Branch today, trying to set up access to the online banking was feeling frustrated because two people at the front were not helpful at all. The older dark lady was very unfriendly maybe needs to find retirement soon and a younger blonde lady at the reception area wasn't polite and felt judged when I needed more help. I am a Duncan resident with brown skin was feeling prejudiced judged by both of the staff.

I was looking for house insurance, there wasn't an agent in on that day so i saw the insurance manager, said he would get back to me in 24hrs after he had received all my info.its been a week now and i still havent heard back. Very disappointing not even a no you were denied.
