We all know night time is fun at this place, but I tried the West oak burger during the day. Man, I was impressed! Definitely coming back at lunch now

Had an incredible brunch on the patio. My friend is celiac and they were incredibly accommodating! Big shout out to the manager Paul who capped everything off with some fresh baked cookies to really make it a memorable experience!

2nd time here — Just as good as the first time! Gotta try the Lavender Rosemary Gin and Tonic and the Sable Fish last night was very tasty!

We sometimes like to treat ourselves to happy hour at WestOak. They are in a great location close to the Seawall so we can go for a walk after, enjoy the scenery, and try to burn off the snacks! The patio is great but don't be disappointed if you can only get a table close to the patio opening. You still get lots of natural sunlight and fresh air coming in.

Excellent service, and some scrumptious food. Had the BC Wild mushroom fettuccini, it has kale in it, and honestly have never had more tasty kale in my life and I didn’t think it was possible for kale to be tasty!

Its been a while since we last ate here, but it didn't disappoint. Still one of our favourite spots.

Appies, main courses are great and priced appropriately.

Some of our favourites appies include carpaccio, fries, and their famous shrimp appetizer.

Jason our server was most attentive and very familiar with the menu. Great syggestions and food was top notch.

We will be back for Tomahawk steak and the Veal chop.

We have been regular patrons of West Oak and we have previously written glowing reviews on Google.

Fantastic experience dining here! Good food and the atmosphere was nice. Only negative.the server only looked at my husband while interacting with us the entire time. I paid the bill. Otherwise, no complaints. The freshly baked cookies are soooo good!

Went for happy hour and was very happy! They accommodate to wheat and dairy free diets well. Yummy and well plated.

Went today; amazing service, generous servings, great ambience (good music too), and the food tasted great. Definitely recommend the sablefish and the moules et frites

Update 2023: Our family was graciously served by Alex B (but we call her Arwen) and a great dual birthday celebration. The family loved the fries, calamari, sablefish (again) and the mojitos from the bar were fantastic. They did indeed honour the free appies to our grateful surprise! We will be back soon and kudos to both front of house staff and kitchen staff.

Very slow service. Tried this restaurant and it took almost 40 mins for our main course to come. The BC wild mushroom pasta was so disappointing. It was dry and had no flavour. The lingcod and other dishes were eh as well.

Server was super nice. Restaurant is nice. Patio is nice. Music wasn’t too loud. Portions are all pretty good. We did wait quite a while to order our drinks. We were a bigger group and our bills did get a little mixed up but the server was very professional and kind to fix it. The chinois prawns are sooo yummy. The calamari here is not how it’s typically made and it’s not crispy I wouldn’t order again. Brussel sprouts are okay. Mushroom fettuccine is okay. Virgin strawberry mojito is okay - very minty not too sweet.

Ordered the Brunch Board so we got to try a bit of everything. Portion was huge and everything tasted so good. Service was excellent. Great place for friends to hang out on weekend mornings.

Dear West Oak, I am giving you this non-positive review for the way one of your arrogant and judgemental stuff treated us. It was a girl at a front entrance who intakes and “welcomes” people and she refused to give us her name. Without going to too much details, I can say that she insulted us, labeled and was extremely rude. We love West Oak and we are loyal customers and come their regularly. But we never had such an unpleasant experience. Please, do a better screening and training of your newly hired staff. Someone from the management, whose name is Mason James, knows more details of the situation because we talked to him right away. On a positive note, I can say that thanks going to Mason for being open to our feedback, listening and handling situation professionally. Hope we will not see that girl again and she doesn’t work there anymore. Thanks.

I am still here and felt the urge to write a review. Honestly, I have not experienced such a high level of service for a long time. Every staff member is so kind, helpful and just on a top level of service, from the moment we walked in. Also the food is incredible, I am a pescatarian and loved the prawns, veggie gyozas for starter to share. For main I had a beautiful cauliflower steak with some truffle fries and my hubby had a burger. Super tasty! Highly recommended! Thank you guys
