Westshore Spring and 4x4

This shop is the best, I had a major issue with my 97 Ford F150 rear spring supports and they were able to fit me in and get the job done. Many thanks Guys and a great Job!

February 22. Had shop order and install UCAs by BDS. I was happy that I received a call at noon stating the truck was ready as they firstly stated an all day job. Over the next few months I drove to Calgary and while backing into son’s driveway he heard a thump sound. On further investigation we noticed that my front passenger UCA bolt nut was only holding on by the last few threads. After checking all other UCA bolt nuts we found that all other bolts were basically loose as wells and weren’t torqued at all. The BDS arms states torquing to 126 foot pounds is a must. I was informed in Calgary that there’s no way they were torqued to spec and no one read BDS instruction steps. I contacted BDS itself and they confirmed that there’s no way they’ll loosen on there own and again stated the torquing step was missed. (I would imagine the alignment I requested was passed as well.) After reading all the reviews this company has basically exceptional work skills. I would have at least felt I would have received a comment back from them as most companies would. Obviously not. I can only suggest that any work done by this shop be rechecked. UCA nuts falling off and loosing after a few months isn’t legit let alone a high safety problem.

I have an old f250 with the Dana 50 TTB and anyone who knows those TTB’s knows that they are a PITA to align, on top of that my truck is a bit of a Frankenstein truck with different suspension components from later ford super duty trucks, point being I didn’t think anyone could do a good job, in fact no other shops around Victoria would even touch my truck and I was just hoping for something decent, not expecting much, but these guys took it on no problem and did an AMAZING job, I was super impressed when I drove my truck and they did a absolutely superb job on what was probably their first time seeing a Frankenstein truck like mine. You would be wise to go here for any 4x4 needs, great customer service, awesome prices, honestly can’t say enough good things about these guys.

Staff was great. Figured out the problem with my truck that another shop could not find. Fixed it right away and now the truck drives great again. Thanks to the awsome staff. Great job.

The crew at West Shore Spring and 4x4 helped us out when our vintage trailer’s leaf spring broke on highway 14 near China Beach. We limped the trailer to their shop and they had us back on the road in less than 3 hours. Same day. Incredible service, and we are so grateful!

My 27 foot trailer broke a spring getting on a Ferry in Swartz Bay. West shore spring was willing to take it in on a Friday afternoon, replace all four springs and have it ready for Monday morning at 9 AM pick up. This is exceptional considering the vehicle didn’t arrive until 1 o’clock on Friday. It’s my understanding that someone came in on Saturday to fix the trailer just so I could make my 11 AM ferry back to Vancouver. I’m from Edmonton so going above and beyond for someone who’s not local shows the amazing spirit of this location. Thank you!

Kind, knowledgable and friendly staff. I had the front and rear shocks replaced on my vehicle - they took the time to brake down the work that needed to be done and completed the task within a few hours. Now it drives like a dream, thanks again!

I was facing the dreaded thought of replacing my truck due to coil spring mounts rusting out. The guys repaired the mounts, replaced everything on the front end and did all the work in a day. The price was lower than the quote it was amazing. The right guys for the job, would highly recommend

I was only on the island briefly but needed my rear leafs fixed, and in a way that accommodated the lift and modifications my vehicle had, and on a tricky time frame as well. Not only did these guys come in clutch and help me out, but they were super straightforward, transparent, and easy to work with. They accommodated my schedule super well and did an exceptional job on my truck so I wouldn't just be dealing with a temporary fix, but a lasting one. Had to drive a good distance to get there but super worth the trip.

Had them arch my leaf springs to raise rear of my '55 Chevy a couple inched. Turned out

Very busy, sub-par customer service, bad quality work was done on my SUV causing me to have to come back the next morning so they could straighten out my steering wheel after the alignment done the previous day.over 2 and a half hours I had to wait for the correction.zero apology from the owner or mechanic

Had front suspension mounted and alignment done on my SUV. When I got the vehicle back the top nuts that hold the assembly together on both struts were not tightened down at all causing loud rattling and a terrible ride. The steering wheel is crooked at dead center while driving and the boot on the tie rod was not put back on properly. I did not receive an alignment sheet Upton completion so I don't actually know if my wheels are in spec or not. They did tighten the top retaining nuts that were supposed to be done right the first time a few days later. I get it, people make mistakes. I usually leave 5 star reviews so -1 star for each issue. Really had high hopes for this shop, I guess I'll stick to doing my own work.

I was extremely impressed with their customer service, knowledge and their fair and honest pricing in regards to their labour. What was charged was actually less that their estimate (hours charged). Upon further inspection of the work done I was impressed and relieved at their attention to detail. I will continue to use these guys and refer them for off road vehicle work. Thanks guys!

Bought lots of things from them out the door over the years since they opened. Always great service and supply what they promise. When there was a delay on an ARB bumper from Australia due to shipping issues completely out of their control, they kept me informed with an updated time frame and it arrived before then. Will deal with again very soon. A+

Waited 3 weeks with the understanding that I had an 8: 00 appointment (for a simple job). Upon my arrival, I had the owner say, well we're busy, leave your truck (or basically leave). I mentioned that I was busy as well which is why I booked this appointment, and was to wait for it to be completed. I didn't want anyone driving my rig, which also seemed like a huge bother. He turned and walked away with an unimpressed look saying see ya. Don't waste your time (like I did) with this Egotistical, Horribly run and Managed Company! Ask yourself, do you want or deserve to get attitude as a customer? Not Me!

A couple of months ago Westshore Spring installed a 2.5 inch Old Man Emu lift on my 2013 Jeep Rubicon and they did a fantastic job! Feels like a better than new Jeep. The springs were tired from all the weight in the back (kitchen, RRT etc) they also noticed that my rear brakes were totally shot! The fronts were fine. They not only did the lift but replaced rotors, callipers and pads and it was STILL done in a day. Great work done in a friendly atmosphere. Totally recommend!
