The receptionist is rude, forcing us to give tip, and she said "next time go to a cheaper restaurant". I've seen her too raising her voice with an Asian client having trouble in paying using her card. I will never never comeback in this restaurant. The beef smells. This lady just tells whatever she likes to tell for an Asian like me and no respect because of tipping or money. For my 15 yrs here in Canada, it's my first time to experience disrespect of a receptionist because of money or tipping. Food is expensive plus tip? If food is cheaper I will give tip and if food is perfrct on my taste.

Discovered this place when I first moved to North Van a few years ago, over a number of visits - it’s quickly become my favourite in the lower mainland. The food is delicious, the service quick and the restaurant is well kept and tidy. By far the best part though is the service. The owners and staff are incredibly attentive and friendly - despite going irregularly, I am always recognized and my order is remembered - which is truly impressive given how busy they are. It’s really a rarity to receive such great service in a restaurant these days. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I used to go eat here often before Covid. It used to be pretty solid good. Went there today for late lunch. Service was not good and I found the staff unfriendly. Our beef dish was horrible - leathery and hard to chew. I was told it is supposed to be leathery! Food was expensive for the quality being offered. Am I going there again? No. Nor do I recommend it.

This place used to be AWESOME before the pandemic.
I recently ordered takeout, first North Van take out since February 2020.

Food was not even worth the 10 minute stop on my way home to Squamish. It has gone down in quality SO much since pre-pandy I have no words to describe it except bland and tastless. Such a far cry from the excellence I expected.

Dropped 140+ + on a dinner that I expected to be deluxe for my family and I truely regret not just the expenditure but even the 10 wasted minutes.

Ended up cooking KD for my kids and they used to LOVE this place.

Staff up front were friendly and responsive, but the lack of any taste in the food ordered was SO disappointing.

All this said.
I ordered on a Monday, and Mondays are always the worst day to dine out - it's the weekend for the excellent chefs.

Shrug.

Very disappointed in an establishment I used to visit a couple times a month before covid.

Ordered the Peking duck 2 course $99. The duck was dry and looked like it was made yesterday. See the picture I posted of the leftovers. The duck was thick sliced (about 7mm) which is not how Peking duck should be (does not show in leftovers as we ate those pieces). The table next to us arrived after us and ordered the duck. They also complained about how the duck was sliced. There was no cucumbers served with the duck.

Salt and pepper squid $29. The batter was falling off the squid and was soggy. Lacked flavour.

Garlic pea shoots $29. Was okay, a bit oily and lacked flavour.

One bowl of white rice. Was dry.

Do not go here if you usually eat very good cantonese food in Richmond.

Nothing special about the service. Didn't bother to refill our water or care how our meal was. I'm sure they knew that the food was subpar and was embarrassed to ask in case they got complaints.

Yummy traditional dim sum. Staff very quick and responsive. Great restaurant, have been going for years.

I ordered something called Singapore noodles which the lady told me was the only spicy option but it was just noodles covered with turmeric and curry powder and it was absolutely not good.potion sizes good but not taste it's not worth it.

I am surprised by the rating of 3.7 (it’s too low). I often go here with my friends for Dim Sum. We always have a good time. The food is fresh and tasty. The service is fast and friendly. I think it’s very good value.

Fantastic authentic hong kong dim sum experience in a north vancouver shopping place.
Ambiance is sparse but the food, quality, freshness is outstanding

I enjoyed my experience here with my family. The hours are a little odd for a Dimsum restaurant but the experience was good overall while dining here:)

I eat here often. Dim sum is great and fresh and their dinner menu is amazing, though a bit pricy

Ordered 2 dishes for take out, from order confirmation to get the takeout, it took 30 mins. In a neighborhood without too much a choice, don’t think they will improve.

BIG PORTIONS.

Holy moly, the only other place that gives this large a portion for the similar price is Top King's at Central City, Surrey.

Typical 7/10 Chinese food, took one star off because their takeout bags are the thinnest things I've ever seen. Pretty much ripped open just carrying it to the car, leaked everywhere sadly. Extra bags cost money but may be worth the cleanup!

The best dim sum on north shore! This Cantonese restaurant has been around for decades. Their foods are solid and consistent though you can find same calibre easily on the other sides of bridges. Still great when it takes more than 30 minutes sometimes to get to either bridge nowadays….

Chicken fried rice had zero flavour, chicken was like rubber. Only one soy sauce.
You can tell the food is cheap and overpriced.

Absolutely horrible.
Chicken fried rice have bits of prawn in it which would be a very bad time if you had a seafood allergy.
Quality of food is mediocre, dim sum balls has some sort of mystery meat which was unpalatable and weird textured. The chicken is rubbery
The only good thing here is the package of soy sauce which they only gave us two for a family of four.

Really awful

Ya know, the foods decent, not over the top great.
The decor is ok, nothing noteworthy.
The staff were attentive, not overly good.
The prices were on the high side in my opinion.
But here's where the experience landed with a thud:
We were charged for everyone at the table having tea (and my son actually ordered ice tea instead of the green tea). Since when did a Chinese restaurant charge for the tea?
And when we took home the extra food, we were charged $. 50 for each plastic take home container.
So I get an overpriced, mediocre meal with an added insult of charges for the tea and take out containers.
I won't be hurrying back. If you're ok with this type of experience then you have been forewarned.

Everything was great but find it a bit pricey. The Beef and Broccoli were tasty but at almost $30 seemed a bit pricey.

Way too overpriced for what seemed to be on offer so we left! There are simply too many better options nearby that I can't justify paying nearly $30 for every item on the menu.
They charge for tea as well.

This is our favourite Chinese place, I’ve been coming here with my Gong Gong for years and we won’t get Chinese food anywhere else.
