Expensive for such rough shape. I didn’t hate having to pull my ball from every bunker but cmon now. Could use some tlc for sure

Westwood is one of the best public courses in the area. With spectacular views anytime of the year, great greens and top notch clubhouse. I play here many times a season and I have never been disappointed.

They want $124 per round with rock hard bunkers that haven’t had fresh sand in years, and tee boxes that have more patches.

Played 3 months ago and it was 5hrs to the 15th hole, where there were 3 groups on the TEE BOX including mine. Ended up having to walk off the course because I didn’t plan to play golf for 6hrs total and said I’d never be back.

Ended up coming back today and same thing except 4.5 hours to the 15th tee where again, there were 3 groups on the tee box. I would have expected to finish my round teeing off at 3 with darkness at 7: 40.

DO NOT PLAY HERE if you expect to play a round in under 5.5 hours.

Wouldn't pay the full price, would wait for later in the day to play on a reduced rate due to some very run down tee boxes and greens. I know it sounds picky but I payed $150 at Tobiano and everything was top notch conditions from the tee box's to the green's. Considering the current conditions at Westwood I would try to avoid peak rate playing times

I’ve been playing both the executive course and the country club monthly for the past few years, and I am going to give you a local Tricity golfer's honest review.

1. The staff - I don’t know how they have done it but they have been able to attract some of the most caring and innovative group of folks I have ever seen in a golf course. From Jeni and Carson and all of the beverage cart staff (Liz, Skye and the rest of the amazing staff) to the clubhouse crew (Michelle, Brianna and the gang) - they have figured out how to make a place that prides themselves on the guest experience and is very welcome to ideas on how to innovate and improve. 10/10

2. The course has an amazing layout, with some of the most gorgeous views the city has to offer. They do a great job with the placement of the different tee boxes so it truly plays like a different course based on your skill level. You are guaranteed to run into wildlife, which is always inspiring. The tee boxes did need a little bit of love this year, but the crew has done a great job with bringing it back to life. And of course, like so many of this area's mountain courses the sand traps are the one area of improvement that would move this course to a 10/10.9/10

An accessibility nightmare. I am a full time wheelchair user. I can walk very short distances with assistance but otherwise I rely heavily on my chair. I was at Westwood plateau golf and country club for an event recently and I'm shocked. For such an otherwise high end establishment there seems to be no thought to people of limited mobility. The accessible stall in the washroom is mounted backwards making it impossible for a chair to get in. The hole I was stationed at has no pavement, meaning I had to get assistance hiking up the side of a rocky hill. Chair in tow. Not only that but in order to use the washroom I had to hike back down the hill, get in my car and drive 2km to the clubhouse. I understand it's a golf course, and handicap people are not your customers, but please make an effort.

Leaving this review for management, the marshalls were actually very nice and course was in decent condition for Westwood’s standards.

Our group decided to leave our clubs with Westwood as we played 2 rounds over the weekend and they offered to hold them for us. I showed up to the second round and noticed damage on 2 of my irons that were not there the day before. From the picture it’s obvious that they were dropped on a hard surface or cement. I emailed management expecting some sort of rectification but all I got was the dismissal that my clubs were even damaged. After weeks of no response and me following up they replied with “we won’t be providing any compensation for any perceived damage to your clubs”. Absolute brutal way to handle the situation.

I played Westwood Plateau (the full length course) for the first time ever. It was great. Westwood Plateau is literally in the mountains of Coquitlam and the views are amazing. The holes are challenging too. The neat thing is one can choose from a variety of tees. A top pro can choose the back tees at about 6800 yards whereas a newbie can choose the forward tees at about 5000 yards. I went with the middle tees. The conditioning of the course was pretty good for April. A little wet but we played the “preferred lies rule. ” They have a super amount of sand bunkers. Unfortunately there were a lot of stones in those bunkers which have to be dealt with. Actually, do you know what the solution is? Don’t hit into them. There is a hitting cage to warm up but if you want to practice, you’ll have to do that at Westwood’s driving range and Executive course a mile or two away. By the way, the clubhouse is awesome and they have super food. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

Pace of play is awful. Need to get marshals back out there. Okayed 5 hr round yesterday but were open for first 3 holes so we flew through those. Could be a great course. The bunkers are disastrous as all rocks but the layout and greens are good. Course is decent but whomever runs this place now needs to make some serious changes to improve the experience

One of the most scenic courses in the lower mainland. Very unique layout, lots of fun holes and unbelievable geography. Would have rated 5 stars, but the bunkers are terrible. Lots of rocks, some were filled with weeds and only a handful were recently raked. Fine for a cheap course but I'd expect better at Westwood Plateau.

This course belongs in Whistler and should be a luxury to have in greater Vancouver. Course layout/design, View of the property, Clubhouse, Restaurant and Value for the money are all easily 5/5. Unfortunately the course conditions are underwhelming, the bunkers are filled with rocks and the forest has began to encroach on the course. Really a shame as this course has so much wasted potential

Kaylie, Kaitlyn, Hailey, Mandy, Olivia, Summer, Jekie we’re on shift for our golf tournament. They provided top quality service with a great attitude and made the night memorable. This group killed it!
Hope that they will be back for our next tournament.

Course was very very wet. Bunkers need a ton of work. In my opinion not worth the price that we paid. Hopefully they can turn things around in time for summer

Although I don't golf I do Love this place. Been here for dinner brunch and many Private events in the past. Was just recently at a dinner here and as always the food was fabulous. The staff are always top notch and the view from the Patio is breath taking. Only complaint is the food is kinda pricey but I guess you get what you pay for.

The fact that the burgers are actually good looking not like mcdonalds and they are also really good.

My husband and I recently held our wedding reception in the Panorama room at Westwood Plateau. We had a fantastic experience and can't thank them enough. Danielle helped us with the pre-planning process and was very responsive to all the changes and questions we had leading up to it. The day of Karen took care of us. She kept everything running smoothly, and she was there for us making sure we had everything we needed. The food and service was absolutely amazing and our guests are still talking about it. Overall, we are incredibly happy and grateful for such an amazing day!

Course in a very good shape even it was punched, however the starter is not friendly neither polite guy. Is not a good way to start the round of golf
27 November 2022 18:24
The course has deteriorated a bit, and signage for holes need to be improved. Also behaviours of others are not up to standards, drinking, smoking, music, etc.smoking should never be allowed, especially in these dry conditions.
10 October 2022 8:10
The location is nice and the views are spectacular. Greens in good shape but the rest of the course is rough around the edges. Some sand traps unplayable, tee boxes need grooming. Layout is a bit quirky for some holes. I did get a good, mid-afternoon rate so value was decent.
30 September 2022 19:38
Course is challenging! The drop zone divots confirm this Enjoy the spectacular views while you wait on every tee box because the pace of play is too slow. Approx 5.5 hours for 18 is too long. People spend so much time searching for balls and slow everything down. You're not finding your ball in a ravine or 2 feet of grass, give up and take the drop. The marshals were super friendly and we're doing their best to keep everyone moving.

Giving it a 2 star review because the views are worth 5. That being said, the 3 stars I knocked off can’t begin to describe the terrible condition this course was in.

Sand everywhere (appears as though it was aerated recently), bunkers have no sand and are full of weeds and rocks. Fairways are filled with patches of dead grass. Pace of play was slow.

I understand aeration is necessary but if it indeed was aerated (I sincerely hope so as it would justify some of the devastating course conditions) then golfers need to be informed and given appropriate discount.

$100 is insane for this course. I disagree with the statement below which says that it is a reasonable price.

If you want a nice course play Northlands. It’s gorgeous. If you want a goat pasture, this is where you should come play.

My family and I went here for Fathers Day on June 19,2022. What a disappointment.
After we were seated we watched as the several servers chatted at the bar counter ignoring us, to the point that I had to get up and politely ask for someone to please serve us. That person then seemed to be debating with the staff as who would do so - standing and chatting seemed to be preferred by all of them.
Needless to say the pattern of waiting for service continued throughout the meal, even having to find the server to ask for the bill.
And all the while we were not in a rush - we were simply ignored.
The food was also nothing to get excited about - very limited menu selection and all our meals were bland.
When we left even the person at the club house's front desk ignored us, when good customer service training would have had her at least say, "thanks for coming".
My conclusion is the club house takes their golf playing clientele for granted as a captive market, so the sentiment is, why bother with anything more.
Needless to say we will not be back!

Four some in front of us were so slow that we finished 18 holes more than five hours. It was terrible.
