Wheelhouse Integrative Medical Clinic

My partner has had two sleep study attempts so far at this clinic. The first one was misplaced and the second one was not recorded correctly due to low battery on the machines. So now, nearly six months into trying to be assessed for sleep apnea and still no closer to an answer.
Hopefully, third time is more professional and successful.

I have had issues with every visit I have had with Dr. Memon. Thank God our pharmacy knows what they are doing as x4 times already they have said they can't fill my prescription due to safety and medicine that should not be mixed or top high of a dose. I even had to have a ambulance come to my house due to this. Have gone in for other issues where she says this may be the problem but if it's not that then nothing is wrong, when it clearly was. We have a doctor in our family we pass everything by now and she has been very shocked with diagnosis/prescriptions. I know there is a massive shortage on doctors and the pressure it bring especially to fresh out of school doctors but proper training and experience is extremely important. There should be more help for new doctors and teaching them once out on their own.

Very happy with Dr Mailey. He cares about his patients and does his best to listen and get them the help and resources they need. Feel very grateful to him as our family doctor

Dr. Mailey is excellent. He is the most thorough doctor I've ever had. Truly cares about his patients and is passionate about his work. I'm so grateful that my family finally has a doctor like him.

2.7 is too generous no walks in where my suppose to go whats the point of a clinic if u cant walk in its what they made them for hope they close down would have given them a 0 but if i could

I called today for apt. Haven’t seen my Dr.for 2 years with COVID. Told I could have a tel. Call with him next week on the 10th. I said, he needs to see me…. Told… after tel call you can get apt to see him If necessary! That’s so crazy. I know he needs to see me. He will bill twice for this I suppose! Then I said I need a prescription filled ASAP. Well receptionist said dr.would call me on the 5th regarding prescription. Why? Can he not just call in the prescription? I’m out of pills tomorrow. No…. I need phone call with him? More billing! Told to get an emergency supply of pills lfrom pharmacy! I asked why I bother to have a family dr? So complicated. Could just go to a walk in today and get it all done at once. Then receptionist says: well. I’m going to have him call you on the 10th, not the 5th. Deal with it all at same time. As though she was punishing me for my comments! Now I have to wait till 10th for prescription. Had to call pharmacy for emergency prescription. That was the easy part! No wonder our Health Care system is in such bad shape!

One star seems like a high rank. Hands down the WORST customer service. The doctors are nice but their receptionist seems like the worst person I have ever dealt with.

I called to ask if they are taking new family Patients and before I could finish my initial question the receptionist cut me off with a really rude tone and said “we are not taking new applications” and did not bother to explain or provide more detail.

I asked again to get more clarification and she CUT ME OFF AGAIN and said the same this.

DO NOT GO HERE. Save your time and energy by avoiding this place at all cost.

They are not accommodating and not friendly at all. They just let me know they won’t have walk-ins anymore and kind of stopping any service for me. I used to have a family doctor with them for years who retired and they never let me know I could apply again for another one and when I did it because another doctor told me, the lady who came at the door made me feel like please don’t come back here anymore. In addition they charged me for sharing information with my other doctor.

This clinic is clearly using the luxury of the doctor shortage as an excuse for terrible patient service. I heard Dr. Memon was taking NP in which during Covid they requested I fill out form for both myself and son. I dropped them off as requested back in January. The girls that came to the door was rude and clearly used the Covid excuse to do as little as possible for us.after dropping all the forms I called to see why I hadn’t received a call this was now June. They acted shocked, I again updated MSP numbers and was told to Wait again. Finally received a message to book and when I called they booked me for a phone interview.then called back 2 min later to say I was declined as a pt.
The owners and doctors should know how unorganized and rude there staff is. I work in the surgery field myself, it’s so disappointing to see health providers medical
In particular give zero concern to work with pts but have no problem billing virtual appts.

Not uncommon to see bad reviews for walk in clinics, but this one truly deserves them. Everytime I have been here the reception lady has been cold, unhelpful and even rude.

The going response to any basic question here is I don't know and I can't do anything for you.

The bad attitudes from staff are totally unnecessary and do nothing but create a bad atmosphere. Everytime I've been here I have felt as though I was actually inconveniencing or bothering the staff.

Their one saving grace is Jackie, who is a nurse that is doing her Internship there, she has been awesome! Super helpful getting me the help I need. Unfortunately she is not a long term employee here.

Moved here recently from Ontario and needed some medical assistance. Phoned them and got setup with a phoneappointment (thanks Covid) the same day. Doctor Samcoe called on-time and was great to deal with. Will definitely continue using them in the future.

In my opinion the best clinic in Victoria. Waiting times aren't long, the staff is friendly, the doctors take as much time for you as they can. Also ordered my prescription meds over the phone during COVID times and they sent them straight to my pharmacy. There's never been a problem with this clinic.

Dr White is caring, compassionate and does everything he can to help. I dont mind showing up early to walk in because I haven't lived on the island long and it's been difficult to find a family doctor. I am comfortable continuing to walk in at this clinic until a family doctor accepts me as a patient.

I only have praise for Doctor White who saved my son’s life about 2 years ago with his expert assessment and diagnosis and quickly made arrangements for emergency admission.

I only regret seeing so many of his patients turned away (including myself), after waiting long periods outside in the rain and cold. For the most part it looks like a dozen or more are told by front desk staff “we are not taking anymore patients for the day.and that is shortly after 9 am when they open.

I believe great Doctors are hard to come by. He is genuinely caring and I understand why there is a long line up to see him. He encourages healthy lifestyle and has advised me on sleeping well, eating and maintaining a healthy weight and my general well-being. He is patient and listens with empathy and heart. I can’t say enough great things about Dr. White.

On a personally note, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude, love and light for your hard work and dedication over the years. I can never repay you for diagnosing something that the emergency doctor, along with 2 other doctors had missed. My family and I will forever be so very grateful to you and your expertise! Thank you many times over.

Never going there again

The worst service ever. Staff not polite or helpful at all. Went to see the doctor yesterday with sickness that I never experience in my live. Had to do some tests and they told me that they will call me the next morning. No call received by 11: 00 am so I called them. One of the receptionist told me that doctor will look at results by 4: 00 pm. When I complained that I am in worst shape the yesterday she told me to call at 1pm. At 1 pm the other lady told me that it will take few days to get mine results, when I told her that mine results are in according to the other receptionist she put me on hold and then told me that I have to come to see the doctor. Went there at once ant they told me that they are completely full today. This unprofessional clinic avoid if you can.

The receptionist acts as if you're a personal inconvenience to her and Dr. White is terrible.
I have to condense everything we discussed for him as he types up his notes because he can't remember what was said 5 minutes ago.
The wait times are probably so long because he asks the same questions because he can't remember that he just asked you that.
And if you're fat, he focuses on that even if you're looking for answers about an issue that isn't caused by weight, if anything, it might cause the weight issue in the first place.

Almost worse than useless.
Of the 13 times I've attempted to use this clinic, I've been successful exactly 3 times.
The past two days I've arrived at 9: 15 am to find them already closed for the day despite their advertised closing times of (respectively) noon and 3pm.
On the rare occasion that I *have* seen one of their dr's, it's been a largely pleasant and hassle-free experience. However, given their general lack of availability, I am done wasting my time on this clinic.

Worst service ever, the elderly short receptionist should be fired. Zero compassion for people or tax payers money that pays their wages. Had tests performed by their clinic that came back with some serious stuff and she wouldn’t make an effort to get us in. Recommended that we go to another clinic and cost our medical system more money. They never answer their phones and when asked why she had 2 different excuses. At first the phones don’t open till 10 and we were calling after 10, and then it was Shaw’s fault. Dr. White has been good but the front staff is something to be desired and could use some real improvement.

Working hours are since 8 am, however today walk-in was opened since 2 pm, and waiting time was 3-4 (!) hours. I talked with 2 different reception people, and lady was rude, but the young man was nice. Very mixed experiences. I wasn't able to get through phone at all. The whole autoreply thing sounds more like useless insult rather than help it should be. I'm not questioning professionalism, and I believe they have a lot to deal with. It's not the staff fault the clinic is so busy. Something should be done, it seems like it's getting worse, and waiting area is so small with barely enough chairs to sit.
