Sounded good but no response to email question 2 months before arrival. So choose alternative

Despite the guide did his best to spot bears, we didn’t see any of them. He was really helpful and nice with us, not blame on him, but the experience was disappointing due to not seeing anything.

We had expected more from a Photo Safari! After a preliminary inquiry by email, I was informed that the evening tour was the best time for bear viewing at the moment. So booked the tour. The guide came on time and was nice - but unfortunately he didn't introduce himself. The journey started and at the waterfall he said when asked that we could clear our cameras. With 3 people on the back seat, the ride was not very comfortable. Unfortunately, it got dark very quickly. Photographing would have effectively only been possible during the first hour of the tour. Unfortunately, we didn't see any bears - but that's how it is on a wildlife tour. After almost 2.5 hours, the guide dropped us off at the accommodation and said goodbye with a few postcards. Unfortunately, there was no reply to my friendly feedback by email. Conclusion: nice but much too expensive - not recommended

Very disappointing, excursion extremely expensive for what it is.
You are as likely to see a bear from your hotel window as in this pseudo safari. The car is way too fast and the guide inexperienced.

I think we had too high expectations coming into the tour; be prepared to see no wildlife at all for the cost and then if you do see a bear it’s a bonus. It has been very hot in Whistler so our chances were slim even on the sunset tour. For us it was a very expensive 4x4 ride where we didn’t see a single living thing.

Had an absolute blast on this tour! Unfortunately we weren’t able to see any bears but it did not make the trip any worse! We got to see all the beautiful hidden gems that Whistler has to offer and even all the Olympic ski slopes that we normally wouldn’t have access to. Jason was an amazing guide and filled us in with the history of Whistler as well as facts about bears we never knew! Would highly recommend and definitely going to come back in late May/early June when the bears are out in full force! Thank you so much Jason

Me and my girlfriend went on the bear tour and had a fantastic time. Our guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. We saw a bunch of black bears and even some cubs. The jeeps they use are very nice and provide some much needed binoculars. Overall no complaints and I couldn't think of a single thing they could have done better 5/5.

We did a tour on Aug 31st. Our tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable. He asked for our input along the way and provided us with a very memorable experience. He took us all around the Olympic Park, up and down some gnarly roads. We ended up seeing some really beautiful parts of the park and got to experience some 4x4ing. Highly recommend.

We went bear watching with Joel and were super impressed with the experience. Joel was a hoot, knowledgeable and really seemed to enjoy his job as a guide on the mountains, Whistler and the wildlife.
We were lucky to see a few bears and spend time watching them. The price did feel a little steep considering some tours never see any bears but it is also the going price to sightsee in Whistler.
I also wanted to add that the customer service member that helped me with the reservation was extremely friendly.

We almost didn’t see a bear, but apparently our guide text messaged Ruby and Disco to work overtime and showed up last minute). I would still give it a 5 star review even if we didn’t see a bear because the guide was awesome and knowledgeable. I didn’t not feel the guide was rushing and just wanted to “fill the hours”; the guide truly wanted to give us an awesome experience, and was trying really hard to find a bear for us. Since we found the bear last minutiae, I think the guide let us enjoy the sighting for quite a while even though we passed the advertised 2.5 hour already. I will definitely do another kind of tour again with this company next time I am in Whistler.

One of the most unique and best experience! Saw a bear with 3 cubs! Amazing tour with Sherry. She was very friendly and told us many information about bears. She made sure we got full experience. Would highly recommend!

This was a fantastic experience. Sherry was a super guide, and very knowledgeable. We saw a few groups of bears, and the scenery was unbelievable. I would highly recommend the sunset tour.

We took the 4x4 tour and Sam was an awesome guide. His knowledge of the Whistler village and the mountains was good. The drive took us to Callahan mountain in the Olympic park. We got some great views of the forest and drive in the Jeep Gladiator was so much fun. Sam gave us some good information about the forest and the wildlife.

We went out on the 6 am tour. Absolutely stunning scenery. Highly recommend. The ride was very smooth, driving was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the area and terrain. I’m not a rookie to this area or retain but I learned a few interesting thing things and my companion learned allot. We saw some beautiful wildlife. I can’t wait to return to Whistler soon and go explore different areas and in different seasons. Also this is a family run business. The entire experience was amazing!

We booked the night before our tour. The lady booking us was very professional and pleasant over the phone. Our guide, Andrea, was GREAT and very knowledgeable. She did everything to make our tour worth while. We saw at least 4 bears! She seemed just as excited as us to find bears. Lots of fun.

Jason was our guide for this trip and it was amazing from the beginning to the end! Very Covid safe and responsible! It was our first time looking for bears and he gave us so much back ground and history on bears. Unlimited knowledge and was able to answer anything we threw at him! He took out everywhere in the trails, stopped for photos of waterfalls and even got us to the top of a mountain for pictures! Amazing! Will be coming back again for another trip soon! And maybe time to get my own jeep!

Would highly recommend Whistler Photo Safaris based on customer service alone. I won a trip through the website Yervana. While my boyfriend and I were driving up to Whistler from North Vancouver for our safari we realized we completely forgot that it was the long weekend. Because of this, our drive that would have normally only taken 1.5hrs ended up taking MUCH longer. Once we got just outside of Whistler we were stuck in non-moving traffic. I called up the safari company to let them know about the situation expecting them to cancel the tour. Instead, they were more than OVERLY accommodating letting us know where we could park near the Olympic park and met us there. Since the weather has been unusually hot when we went, we were informed we might not see any bears - at least not until the end of the tour. Luckily we ended up seeing two! One of which we saw right at the start of our trip. The bear was super calm and didn't mind us hanging out, watching them eat the grass, and us taking all the pictures of them. At the end of the tour, we also got to watch a cute deer munching on grass as well! Erik, the tour guide we had, was filled with awesome facts about bears, the area we were in, and fun stories. Because of this, even IF we hadn't seen any bears - this safari would have been more than worth the trip! This safari exceeded my expectations from start to finish.

Had an absolutely fantastic experience with Whistler Photo Safaris Bear Guide. Was extremely knowledgable and helped bring me to all the best spots to see the bears. Whether you are a photographer or just want to see the amazing park and nature, this is the best possible way to experience it. Would highly recommend this!

Sherry showed us a great time during our 2nd bear tour at Whistler Olympic park. We saw several bears including many mother and cub families as well as a large male on his own. Highly recommended tour. A1 Business. We'll definitely be back again.

Although we did not see any bears (due to being close to off season + weather conditions) my partner and I enjoyed the ride. The scenery was beautiful and our guide, Andrea, was knowledgeable about the landscape and bears.
I would book again, perhaps in the summer time.:)

We had a great time with Joel today, sadly no bears to see but not for want of trying! Joel spent an extra hour with us as he was so desperate for us (and also him to see one.
We truly appreciate all we saw - owls, piku, chipmunks, great waterfalls, the top of the ski jumps (heartstopping!) and signs of bears everywhere.
Yes, the Jeep goes off road - its where the bears live - yes, its bumpy at times as that's what off roading is, but its thrilling and exciting, super safe and very informative. Would and will highly recommend, and will be back to find them next summer.they can't hide forever.

From the time we walked into the business door with Sherry and made us feel comfortable and was honest with us. The next day Joel showed up at our hotel to pick us up on time. Personable and really knew that he loved his job. Went out of his way to make sure that we were looked after.
I highly recommend this Safari.
