Whistler Public Library

Quite a nice facility, but it’s very loud. For some reason there’s a children’s play area in the back of the library. So there’s always babies and kids coming through crying and yelling. Some of the people in the library talk very loudly and the staff never tell them to be quite a respectful of people trying to work. The wifi is slow and during busy times it becomes basically unusable.

A really wonderful surprise. This is, in my opinion, is a must-visit attraction in the Whistler catalogue (sorry, pun intended). One of the most calming, welcoming spaces our family has found here, with excellent staff. I always take the time to grab a paper, sit and soak up the ambiance while my kids wander amongst the riches presented with a custodial eye. Great space and community vibe.

Thoughtful and caring staff. Beautiful, very well kept building. Lovely selection of books and all the tech amenities you could need. A huge benefit for the community!

Awesome location, really fast internet, really cozy, with plenty of room for reading, studying or working.
There are plenty of coffee shops around, so it's convenient to grab a coffee outside and bring it in.

The Whistler Library is absolutely fantastic, for a seemingly small selection I have always found really quality books and if they don't have something, they almost definitely have it available as an audiobook. There are a range of workstations and I love the couches by the fireplace. The staff is absolutely amazing, they are so kind and accommodating, always going the extra mile to get you what you need. This a fantastic service offered in Whistler <3

Every time I visit Whistler library, I am greeted by friendly staff, very clean and well presented environments and everything about it is so organised and up to date with technology and times. The staff go above and beyond to help and their friendliness and smiles make such a difference to your visit! An amazing library with brilliant staff!

I feel the Whistler Library is an underused jem in the Village. Just walk into the bright, airy building and you’re greeted with shelves of books and a roaring fire in the background. Fairly inviting! Although kinda small compared to the Vancouver city library main branch, there’s still plenty of places to sit and work, or take a book and read. The Librarians are conveniently located right as you enter, and always have a smile to greet you. Very relaxing!

The only library in Whistler. Quality facility though, lots of glass and great views while you work. It's air conditioned which is essential in summer, and perhaps most importantly, has free decent speed Internet. Nice and helpful staff. My only criticism is there is none of the usual studious quiet traditionally associated with a library; screaming kids run around frequently, and some people talk on the phone or amongst themselves. Oh and people eat at the desks which bugs me as well, but overall very good.
