Whistler Taxi

Call service is awful. I called to book a cab and they hung up on me. I had to call back and re order a car. After 10 minutes of them being late I called back and they told me the cab had picked up another passenger and that they would send me another car. I was 30 min late my appointment and I had called an hour in advance. Cab driver was nice but the effort to get a cab to actually get me was ridiculous.

Cab 67 Tony thank you for being a life saver! I was in an unsafe situation and tony picked me up fast and got me back home safely! I have used this company many times and they are always timely and communicative

Waited over an hour for a taxi that never showed, even though they kept telling me I was next in line. Definitely recommend going with any other taxi service in whistler

Very customer friendly and great service oriented! The call center person was very knowledgeable as I was unable to explain him my location properly. He was patient and really wanted to help. The taxi driver was also very helpful!

We took a cab both ways to Pemberton and they were awesome. The call-center person was great, and their communication with respect to texting confirmation and status of driver were spot on. Drivers were friendly and the cost was cheaper than other ride services that quoted me. We would use them again for sure!

I’ve been using Whistler taxi for years. Don’t know what’s happened to the way they take calls but they called 3 x checking on my address. And couldn’t find my very well known condo complex. Took forever

Dispatcher said 15 to 20 minutes. After half an hour I called back. 45 minutes later a guy showed up. Not trustworthy!

Would rate 0 stars if possible. Cabs refused to pick us up from our own home to go for dinner with a group of friends because they said it was a “whore house”. All weekend they let us order cabs but then didn’t show up. Really disappointing and outrageous

Needed a taxi from YVR to Whistler. Called ahead and asked if I should book the taxi in advance and was assured that this would not be necessary. They said just call when you're at the airport and they will be there within 20 minutes.
Once landed in Vancouver, called them and they said they would be able to pick up in 2hrs at the earliest! No thanks! Luckily local taxis will take you to Whistler for the same price as what Whistler Taxi quoted. Looking at the reviews now I'm not surprised this happened.

Taxi arrived fairly quick but the driver was just talking loudly on the phone the whole drive and then proceeded to ask how much of a tip i wanted to leave after reaching my destination. I usually will always tip good but based on our zero interaction I didn't feel the need to but left feeling uncomfortable by the blatant question so I did. I have never been quite put on the spot to leave a tip.

Id prefer if I was just handed the machine so I could do it myself like everywhere else in town and probably the country.

We called a cab at 1: 40 and we were told the taxi would be only 20 minutes. We have been waiting outside for 30 minutes and the three times we have called they say 5 minutes. We are going to miss our reservation now and are extremely dissapointed.

Half the drivers are awesome. Half are rude as heck. They come up from the city and don't understand they don't have to floor the pedal or the brake at all times. The local drivers are friendly but they are slowly but surely being beaten out by city drivers. Whistle drivers are much more chill and dog friendly. About half of Whistler taxi drivers will refuse my service dog even though it's against the law

Regularly experiencing long wait times for cars. Call centre is woeful but unfortunately, one of the very few viable options if you need a taxi service in Whistler

I don't know what's the purpose of using their app and do a pre-booking. Pick-up time means, we are expecting that time, we will be pick-up, the taxi must arrive! But everytime, that pick-up time, is the time they will ONLY look for my taxi, ended I'm late. ‍️Just took bus instead! Definitely needs improvement on their service. As time is important.f

Needing a taxi to get to an appointment, I rang ahead of time and was told 15 minutes. Waited 45 minutes until I got a call back asking if I was still waiting, was told Taxi 99 was on its way. Waited another 15 minutes until I got a txt message saying "Thanks for using Whistler Taxi". What a joke of a company. Really screwing over the residents time and time again because they have no idea how to estimate time or give a truthful answer.

Great service. Used this company twice while in Whistler to go to and from the Garibaldi trail head.

Every car I’ve used is an absolute jalopy. Dangerous vehicles and dispatch that does seem to have any idea where there cars are. Seems headlights and functional suspension are optional items for Whistler taxi.

Terrible service. Driver was rude, couldn't speak English and almost ran over me with my skis after he dropped me off - he reversed right into me.

I was getting late for party. Ordered this service, My driver arrived on time. 100% satisfaction with full recommendation.

The guy in dispatch lies about wait times and then hangs up follow up calls.

Just be honest with people about how long a cab is going to be, I'd like to be able to make alternative plans to get home at midnight in winter rather than wondering why my cab is taking so much longer than the estimate

I reviewed this service a week ago and its so bad i had to give it 1 star again. Whistler taxi drivers are fine. Its the phone operators who have the iq of a dead pidgeon and the social skills of a caveman. Ive nwver seen such consistantly TRASH phone operators in my life. Just abysmal. If i could give less than one star i would.

The taxis are NOT reliable. They ask for your name just to pick up anyone who was standing on the road and had NOT ordered a taxi. It’s a huge waste of time and they definitely take advantage of the bus strike going on. Very poor service.

My friends and I all had a really awful experience with this taxi company. We booked our taxi 45 minutes in advanced and the first time we got hung up on. So we called back to make sure it was booked and they told us it was. When it was time for us to leave our taxi did not show up and so we called again asking for our taxi and they told us that it hadn't been booked and so we booked another one. Our group was big and so we needed two taxis. Only one showed up and the other one had been flagged down and did not come. Half of our friend group had arrived to our destination and the other half were still waiting to be picked up by the taxi. I called the company again urgently asking for a taxi because we needed to catch a bus and they said they would send one right away. As you can probably guess it did not show up and we ended up asking a local for a ride.
Its safe to say that the next time we are in Whistler we will not be using this company. It ended our trip in a really stressful way and its clear that this taxi company lacks communication and organizational skills.

Lies lies lies, they tell you 20 minute wait then when yoh call after an hour of waiting in the cold they have the audicity to tell you. Dont worry itll come. Terrible service.

Got my cab canceled 3 times and every time I called dispatch they would rush me saying cab is on way. Well 45 mins later they cancel again. I have a blown knee and would rather hobble back then use them ever again. Bring Uber to Whistler!

Taxi did not show up at booked time. No call or message. Called dispatch 3 times and hung up on. 4th time reached someone and told would send a cab but they were very booked up! No apology.
Don't book with them.
Also the dispatcher was unhelpful. The do not "accept re booking online" despite the website clearly taking bookings quite happily.

Same as other comments. Booked at 6am, called the night before to confirm everything. No cab by 610, called dispatch and they said “oh sorry will send a cab in 10mins” no responsibility, no ownership. Almost made me miss my flight. Do not use!

TERRIBLE! Avoid. Arranged for a transfer from Vancouver to Whistler. I was out ready to be collected 50 mins after my flight landed, no taxi. Cut a long story short, they gave multiple excuses about bad traffic etc and said they would be there in about an hour! They kept transferring my call and each person said something different. They were charging $430 but I ended up getting another cab from outside the airport for only $250. Not sure if they would have ever shown up!

Driver said it was okay for me and my friend to join another person who was heading the same direction so we could all save a little bit, after the other guy got out at his stop and paid his fee to get that far. We expected our fee to start new as the previous bill got paid but instead the driver just added o ur bill onto the previous bill that was paid, causing us to pay more than double what the normal cab is to our house. If the bc transit wasn’t on strike I would hope to never have to use your service again but unfortunately that might not be a reality

I read some previous reviews and how people are complaining about the wait time but I guess we should understand as we do for the restaurants about short staff that should be same for taxi's too this company been serving our town for very long time and super proud of them, can tell from there tone how much they care and they are super concerned about it too, and especially from past few weeks the road conditions and traffic in town been just insane. Keep the good work up guys supporting local business all the way.

Booked a cab for 10.30 over the phone, they confirmed that the cab would be here 10.30. At 10.35 no cab has shown up, so we call them and they say that the cab will be there in 10-15 minutes. At 11.25 the cab has still not showed up and they aren't answering the phone anymore. Worst taxi company every, will never use them again.

It's fine that you are overbooked and doesn't have enough drivers, but don't make promises you can't keep. Simply say that you are out or taxis for the coming +1 hours.

It was a great experience using Whistler taxi cab service. Booked on call and dispatch sent car on time. Now i am a regular user.

This service is amazing. My wife left her purse in the back of a cab. The driver, Stephen, went back to the next Fare's house and retrieved it for her. Can't recommend these guys enough.

Myself and gf were getting in the cab after work and a couple guys came and pushed her out of the way and jumped in. I was in the back with the door open and feet still on the ground and tried to explain they were not with us and the driver completely starting flooring it (door still open and I'm still feet on the road and basicslly ripped me outta the cab. Probally one of the most dangerous things to happen to me in whistler.

Called the company and asked to speak with someone in regards to it and they just ignored it it seems. No call back after requesting one and the employee saying they would over the next day or two.

Luckily the next driver was extremely plesent. Usually this service is amazing minus this occurrence.

I scheduled a pickup and they never came. When I called to see what happened, they said there was no booking. Then the person tried to argue with me that my address was incorrect (he insisted the street number was the unit number, which it is not). He kept forgetting my name and did not apologize once for no one picking me up. Don't waste your time with this taxi service, especially if you need to get somewhere on time!

I’ve lived here for more than a year and never written a review but tonight a driver (stephen) went out of his way for a considerable amount of time to retrieve my mother’s purse. Stolen by the next group of riders after she forgot it in the back seat. Regret not writing this earlier but this seems like a great time to advocate the excellent service. Five stars.

Best taxi in Whistler. Just need to get more vehicles in their fleet customer service are 9/10 better than other companies in the town listen well and try 100% to resolve your issue

I was overcharged and took me some time to realize, when I called them, they were waiting to hear from me and gave me a full refund right away, and were very courteous and helpful. Was pleasantly surprised.

Taxi number 78 drove extremely dangerously and hit a speed bump without braking first. We were going to take a taxi back to the village after but his driving was so unsafe we chose to walk instead.
