A very kind gentleman showed us clearly, concisely and quickly what to do in a day in Wistler. I recommend a visit if like us you are a little disoriented.
My husband and I were visiting Whistler for a weekend and we had difficulties figuring out how to take a bus back to Vancouver. A little stressed out, we walked into the visitor centre and Debbi who was working at the time was extremely helpful and friendly. She calmed our nerves instantly by booking us the next bus out of there and overall by being a pleasant person. Thanks Debbi and Whistler visitor centre!
Bad experience with the information lady, very uneducated, had little desire to work. He didn't help us at all and seemed like he didn't want to help us. Please be kinder to visitors, at least a smile, thank you.
I came here alone and was looking for recommendations on anything I could do for my day trip. I have been here in winter but never in the summer, so I wasn’t sure what activities were available. The lady staff could not care less. It was 11am and she already looked fed up. Came back again in the afternoon to get info on getting to lakes, met another younger lady staff. She was demeaning, gave sarcastic comments and condescending stares when I asked for recommendations and general info. I enjoyed my first visit at Whistler very much but my impression on this second visit is ruined. The women shouldn’t be working at a visitor centre if they do not want to welcome visitors.
This would better be described as an anti-visitor centre. The woman who helped me could not have been more unfriendly and less helpful. Very atypical for a place so welcoming as Whistlerand hopefully this is not the norm.
Lots of good information here on outdoor activities and hotels etc. Its location of this center is next to the bus loop. There are also mini food shops inside with the visitor center.
