Whitby's Coffee House

Fabulous coffee and the best turkey sandwich I've had at a coffee shop in a long while. It tasted homemade. Thank you. I'll be back when next I'm in White Rock.

BEWARE OF THIS PLACE DO NOT EAT OR DRINK HERE! If I could give this place a 0 star, I would! The last time I came to Whitby's, the owner was very rude! I decided to go back for the second time to give it another chance thinking the guy had a bad day. Well he didn't, this is his personality and his motto is customers are ALWAYS WRONG AND HE'S S RIGHT and if you call him out on anything, he will fight back. Incredibly DISRESPECTFUL! I believe this establishment is only an investment, they don't care about it. They are not part of the friendly White Rock community, sadly!

Very great place to get coffee in the morning and ice cream in the evening time. Coffee here is the best one on the West Beach

Friendly family run coffee house- I think I’ve tried every ice cream and gelato shop along White Rock beach and I like Whitby best! Favourite flavours at Whitby spumoni, tiramisu, lemon, and dulce de leche.

What a cute coffee shop! Great selection of treats, wraps and food. I asked them to mix the mocha and caramel iced latte together and it is DELICIOUS! It’s really nice and creamy. I also asked for and everything bagel toasted and they added cream cheese on the side.

Always would stop here for something every week in the summer. I would also bring my friends when they were with me, well the last time we grabbed some food but happened to have our own drinks with us, when we were finished we went to leave the pop cans where I would usually leave them when I purchased one from them, thinking they would like the money on the refund. Well they started yelling at us in front of other customers. The other customers were so offended by what they say they also left the shop without purchasing anything. None of us have been back to this location. I don't mind taking my cans back myself for a refund but just thought it would be nice to give them the money for them since they are going, it was the way they yelled at us from across the store that showed us how rude they really were. The father has always been very unpleasant when ordering food as it was. WILL NOT BE RETURNING EVER AGAIN

Ella Kinman-I also had trouble with the door, and the person before me too. Not sure if it was you, or someone else. Always pass the buck and never take responsibility for their business, just say oh sorry and fix the knob.

One of my fav coffee shops in White Rock. Stopping here is a must for me. I’m obsessed with their Dalgona iced coffee! SO good. The owners are also really sweet, please support them. I highly recommend!

I came with my mum and husband and the coffee we got from here was pretty good! Owners of the place were super friendly too! Highly recommend! The place has good vibes.

The hardest working couple in White Rock run this business. They have faithfully served this community year after year, and somehow survived lockdown and cold winter days when customers were far away while paying a high rent. This business deserves all our support.great ice cream, coffee and sandwiches too!

I would give zero stars if it were possible. After having coffee at Whitby’s I asked to use the washroom. When I tried to leave the washroom there was something wrong with the lock and I was unable to get the door to open. After trying various ways to solve this problem I knocked loudly so that the staff would come to help. They suggested turning the handle this way and that. After a few stressful minutes of trying this and that the door (thankfully) opened. As I walked out of the bathroom, I suggested they have the door knob/lock looked at. In response, the woman (owner?) of the coffee shop, berated me saying coldly that no one else has this issue with their door so it’s me - not the door/lock system. Imagine if it had been a child locked in their bathroom. Terrible attitude - lousy customer service.

For tourists, they serve small varieties of gelatos, coffee, readymade snacks. Also makes fresh snacks and coffees from menu. All on the go items.

One of our most fav coffee places. Mocha hot and cold are both great due to the beans they use. Ice creams are smooth and creamy. Highly recommended!

This coffee shop serves remarkably terrible coffee. I took one sip of my cappuccino and was taken aback by the bizarre intensity and burning sensation the espressos had. I took another sip to make sure I wasn’t dreaming and there again was that strange flavor. Straight into the trash after that, $5 later.

I do not know what coffee they are serving and what their process for pulling espresso shots is but they need a major intervention.

The tiramisu came straight from a Costco box and when I asked for a glass of water after I had finished my sausage roll the owner just said "no" and gestured to the fridge filled with drinks. Seeing as most cafes will give water to whomever needs it, let alone a paying customer I found this type of greedy behaviour disappointing.
