Reception was courteous, friendly and helpful. The technician was kind and personable. And the doctor I saw was very thorough and explained everything and answered my many questions without a second thought. I've always loved this place, been coming here since I was a kid, many, many years. My kids go here now.

I’ve been a 40 year customer. Was late for apptment (I called ahead) but when I got there was told to reschedule another day. No chance of being fit in. Poor customer service. Will not return.

Dr. Jarvis is a fantastic doctor to see. Always welcoming and smiling when you see her.

Her knowledge and experience in the field goes above and beyond at every step of the way. I had to get contacts, but she didn't want me to just go out and randomly buy them on my own in case I bought the wrong types without any guidance. She gave me trial ones to test which ones would work well with my eyes. After a few weeks of testing multiple brands, I was able to settle for ones that helped my eyes that usually get very dry.

I highly recommend Dr. Jarvis to anyone who is new to contacts or just needs a really caring eye doctor.

I broke my glasses (no problem seeing) and went to the optometry store to replace them. After waiting for 20 minutes (and watching two people who had just finished their appointments being told they were next it was obviously going to be a long wait) I asked reception for a copy of my prescription They explained they couldn't give it to me and I would have to wait for the other side (sales). I left and two hours later they faxed the prescription which was dated 14 months ago, the date of my last eye exam. There is a note on the emailed prescription that it expires in one year-end requests that the dispenser not fill it "unless it is agreed that doctor's changes will be made at no charge to the patient".

I would need to schedule another eye exam, pay their excessive $200 price when appointments are readily available from other Doctors for one quarter the price.

The request that other providers respect the prescription expiry date is a racket, It should be entirely up to the patient as to whether or not they need to update their prescription.

I did buy the glasses there about three years ago ($1200) and this is the second time they broke. The first repair was ($100) and my fault but this time they just fell apart.

About a year after the purchase, I could hardly see out of the glasses and when I want back to the store they said the tinting was wearing off and I must be using a harsh cleaner. I showed them the cleaner was the one I got from the clinic so I wanted the glasses replaced without the tinting (I didn't request tinting) but they said that the tinting was standard and compulsory.

I left after advising them I would find someone that could provide glasses without the tinting. Two days later the clinic called and said they could now get them replaced without the tint. It was a hassle dealing with these people - they are really in the business of providing a professional service - it's all about selling, selling.

I highly recommend White Rock Optometry Clinic. Staff is so helpful. I came with a really bad eye pain, with no scheduled appointment, doctors were all booked out, but they didn’t deny to check my eye. Dr. Sally Donaldson is amazing, very knowledgeable, she was on a lunch break, but took her time to check my eye. With her help, minutes later I could open my eye, she prescribed me the treatment plan and next day I was 95% better. That is magic.

Dr Jarvis was professional, kind, very accommodating and thorough. She made me feel comfortable and supported at all times and you can tell she actually cares about her patients. All of the staff were professional, and efficient. The offices are beautiful, clean, and very modern. Would highly recommend to anyone.
