My 2 year old cat Rylie has had skin issues in the past 3 months. He has had 12 vet visits in the past 3 months. It all started with rashes, lumps and bumps in his ears and on his head. No one knew what the problem is and just assumed it was allergies.

My sister who takes her dog to see Dr. Guldie recommended her to me. Dr. Guldie was the only vet that actually did bloodwork on Rylie first to see what issues there were before giving him any meds. Turns out Rylie had diabetes and the previous vet we went to kept on giving him steriods to try to help the rashes. The steroids made it worst and ended up causing the diabetes we suspect.

Dr. Guldie is very professional, kind and actually really cares about your pet. She has gone above and beyond for me with phone calls and emails and really takes the time to listen to me and understand everything. I have never once felt rushed with Dr Guldie and I always feel heard by her. Rylie and I are so grateful and thankful for her and everyone at White Rock Vet

You don't really want to go to a vet besides the basic vaccines, but so far all of the vet and staff we've encountered have been nice and understanding. I appreciate the education on the condition and treatment. I was worried about having to find a good vet after our old one closed. We found great ones instead! Thank you

I have been taking all of my pets to White Rock Vet for 20 years now. They have always provided the best of care in a truly supportive environment. Recently, Dr. Wood and Dr. Guldie went above and beyond to care for my cat George, who is recovering from a very serious eye infection. George should recover fully but may have lost his eye had it not been for the outstanding and timely care he received here. As a foster mom of kittens and the mom of many pets, I highly recommend White Rock Veterinary Hospital. Thank you all, vets and support staff, for your wonderful dedication to our pets. Your work is truly appreciated.

It was our first time taking our kitten to the vet. We were apprehensive because he is quite skittery, but Dr. McDonald was great with him. It was the opposite of the traumatizing experience we had expected. Highly recommend this vet.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this clinic. The doctors and the staff are absolutely incredible. We lost our dog, Maddy, this week after several visits over the last couple of weeks. They are all so kind and caring and treated Maddy like one of their own. Dr. Wood and Dr. Macdonald, and ALL the staff, are amazing and did everything they could to help our sweet girl. ️

We have come here since I remember they have helped with many of our pets. Currently they are helping our guy with crystals and have been absolutely wonderful at getting him in when needed, and treating him.

When we moved to the lower mainland seven years ago a friend recommended Whiterock Veterinary Clinic. We have used them sonce that time. Over the years our poochie Dexter fortunately had very good health and our appointments with them wre typically annual. However whenever we had something come up they always helped. Sadly we had to let our pooch go last week. The staff were most kind and considersate and despite it being a difficult thing to go through we feel.they gsve us the proper guidance. Thank you from our hearts we know that Dexter had the best care.

Extremely high standard of care with vets who are empathetic and informative without being patronizing. My chronically ill collie loves Dr Guldie, and her expertise has greatly improved his quality of life (and by extension mine!)

Whiterock Vet's cares about your pet's health and overall needs. Friendly and reasonably priced.

The medical care might be good here but the prices are astronomical. On top of the $250 bill I had to pay for an overnight stay my dog wasn't any better.

Best experience I've had at a Vet. The staff was friendly, helpful, informative and genuinely cared about my pet. Quality of care was top notch; they even allowed me to visit everyday (4days). Costs were much lower than expected too. My 4 day bill here was almost the same for a 1 day (!) bill at another vet closeby (whom wont be named). Definitely recommend. Made a hard time much easier.

This place and its staff are amazing, I have a very bossy Pitbull who has not had a very good experience at vets in the past, she is terrified of them honestly (i cant blame her with this being her third surgery). Here at White Rock Veterinary Hospital she was completely fine, pre and post surgery, she actually really liked the staff was not skiddish around any of them at all! After her surgery the Vet called (same night) just to check up on how she was feeling and to make sure she was okay after her Surgery, they had me come back the next day to take the dressing off her ear and explain her aftercare in more detail. I have never had a vet that genuinely cares about my baby like i would expect and hope them to! I recommend this vet to everybody who is able to bring their pets here, it is expensive for sure but when it comes down to it, my Dog was comfortable and happy in their care and she is healing up very nice since her surgery, she was not scarred like she has been at previous vets and her problem seems to have been properly fixed this time; so in my opinion any amount of money is worth this! I highly highly recommend this Vet to anybody who can bring their pets here, even though i dont live in White Rock anymore i will always bring my dogs here. Its like a family Dr you would not keep going to somebody you are not comfortable with and my pets are the same, I will not bring them somewhere they are not comfortable and here they are more than comfortable! Thank you White Rock Veterinary Hospital, myself and my babies entire family appreciates what you have done for her and everything you do to keep everybodies pets in good health: D

These “Doctors “ are the most money hungry people that I have ever met.
Your pets health is not important, the money they make is a PRIORITY. They sell, sell, sell unnecessary vaccines that will actually compromise your dog or cat’s immune system, so they will get sick and need a vet to “treat them”. It’s a viscous cycle and there are some amazing Vetrinarians whom questioning the over immunization of our pets. Please check out Dr Karen Becker or Dr Peter Dobias and educate yourselves on dog/Cat natural heath.
Veterinary medicine is big business.
Sadly, a vetrarians education is based on pharmaceuticals.
The vets at this clinic are out to make a lot of $$$$$ even if that means compromising your beloved pets Heath.
The prices here are also going up!

Nov23rd - they even forgot to tell me to fest hairball for the surgery!
Arrange the surgery with Dr Wood and scheduled with Dr Kennedy on Monday Nov 26
Drop off Hairball at 8: 00
Got a phone call from Dr. Kennedy for request sending cell tissues to the lab for more investigation
Called the hospital around 2: 00 to see if early pick up is possible
Picked up Hairball at 5: 20 PM
informed about the antibiotic medicals and the pain medications
informed 14 days to recover and go back there for removing the stitches
Nov 27 about 10 drops of pink discharge came out from the problem eye
Called the hospital and arrange the recheck for Hairball on the night (6 or 7 PM) Dr Ross checked Hairball and told us it looks like some infection so prescribed antibiotics (after I told him Hairball has some very bad vomiting last time after the antibiotic injection he change to oral one)
Nov 28 - Dec 9
Still has pink discharge coming out but not as much as before
Dec 10
Took Hairball for recheck and taking out the stithies
After technician did the stithies Dr. Ross came to us for the result
I asked him “why there are still some pink discharges coming out from the eye? ”
He said “ after surgery this symptom is not abnormal to find”
He also show me the result from lab to indicate there are cancer cells in Hairball, the lab has nailed down to two kind but not sure which cancer (A or B) for sure. However, A and B both are bad cancer which will spread to other organ
I asked him “ Is that we already took his eye out? “
He suggest to spend more money to find out which cancer type (A or B) if in the future that I need to bring Hairball to see a specialist
Dec 11 - Dec 13
little pink discharges
Dec 14 - 17
Symptom getting worse Pink discharge turning to red blood
Dec 18
1: 00 Brough hairball to the hospital check
Showed Dr.ross about the blood discharge photo on my phone
and ask him: ” How can I help Hairball? ”
He said “ Hairball has cancer, the blood draining from his eye is because the cancer cell.other than book me a specialist he don't know if there are anything that he can do “
I keep asking him “ He is bleeding! There are nothing you can do? ”
After repeating the answer like “he has cancer that is what cancer do to your cat “
He send me to the receptionist for the payment
I asked recipients “why I need to pay for nothing has been done for treating Hairball? ”
After Dr.ross come out from the room he insure me that the payment is for his time spending on me and Hairball (he haven't done any examination other than wipe the blood from his eye and telling me Hairball has cancer that he would be bleeding like this)
Had a very tense conversation with him and asked him “ Why you have told me he is not abnormal at the time the stitches were removed, and now told me everything is because of the Cancer? He haven't completely stop from the bleeding after the first day of surgery? ”
3: 45 Took hairball to another animal hospital
Dr gave him the full examination
found out he has infection
found out he has fever
I am working with them to see what the next treatment I can arrange to Hairball to help him not just let him bleeding and told myself that “ It is Cancer! ”
Updates
Dec 19
the doctor there basically did another surgery on the bleeding and infected eye.
He is now recover from the surgery, even through he will getting more and more weak in the future because of the cancer than doesn't mean that he has to suffer in infection, bleeding and fever!
WRV give you the lowest care for your family and charges 3 times more than other clinic charges! Uses lowest quality of the supplies for the care! Do not go there! If you told them you have insurance for your pet they will behaviour like a vampire! Don't bring you pet friend to the money sucking demon!
