Food and service has vastly improved since my last visit. One of a few places that still has a coat hanger right next to your table. I like that.

Went for a bite, server started strong but ended up disappearing and appeared to have the entire restaurant. My food took extra long and I noticed a lot of guests needed her attention. Anyone’s attention. I asked to speak to a manager he discounted my food which I appreciated but told him he should be helping more.

Overseeing that guests are not neglected. She may think she can handle it but she definitely wasn’t. It showed and I will not be returning.

An absolutely unbelievable awful experience. The food was terrible, the servers were fighting out in front of the customers all night and just disrespectful. I cannot believe I paid such a high price for a meal that was tasteless and to be treated like garbage in front of servers who were fighting each other like high schoolers- I wish I could give it zero.

Boy has this place gone downhill.the service is so slow, and it seems no one knows anything about the menu, or maybe they just don't care.
The food is unimpressive, at best. I go to white spots all the time with my family, and most of the time food is good and consistent, but NOT AT THIS LOCATION!
The chicken was dry and overdone, and the pasta seemed to be swimming in sauce.
I would definitely not recommend this White Spot, but still enjoy other White Spot locations for a night out with the family.
What a disappointment to what I think to be a great BC staple.

It's your usual white spot but located in Best western Hotel. Maybe because of that it wasn't that busy. Food was plenty but tastes just average. I've tried different meals couple of times and I think they all taste about the same.

We have been going to White spot since we were kids so we have a ton of good experiences at various White spots. Tonight, we had one of the worst dining experiences. We returned from shopping and stopped at White spot for a quick meal. We arrived and were seated within minutes but noticed that many of the tables were not cleared. We sat for approximately 20 minutes before a server said he would be coming over. He came over 10 minutes later.in total, it took 30 minutes for someone to take our order. And it was not busy (restaurant was 25% full). We asked if he could get the children's meals out first. Our drinks came 10 minutes later (not complicated as they were fountain drinks). Again, he had 2 other tables to attend to so it made no sense that it took him 10 minutes to get these drinks out. The restaurant wasn't busy and there were 4 staff on the floor. Countless times, we noticed that none of the staff were on the floor but were in the back room. I took my 3 year old for a walk around the restaurant as he was getting restless. 80% of the tables were full of dirty dishes. The servers walked by these tables on numerous occasions and did not bother to clear them. After 70 minutes, we left without having dinner. Once our drinks were dropped off - no one came over to check on us or communicate when our food would be arriving. Typically, we would have had servers at least come by our table but no one did. Typically, we would have been eating our dinner within 45 minutes of sitting down. Typically, we wouldn't see food and dirty dishes lying around on almost all of the empty tables. There was only one table that did not have dirty dishes on it. Two couples were waiting in the front to be seated for well over 15 minutes. There were numerous empty tables that had not been cleaned up. I have worked in the restaurant industry in various roles and in various settings - and I was appalled by the lack of care and customer service. Only when we got up from the table and had our jackets on did a server finally come over to our table. We indicated that we have never been to a non-busy restaurant and waited over an hour for our dinner and further, we expected someone would come and communicate if our orders were delayed in coming out. She said: I can check if your order was put in. Which was also alarming as we had ordered our dinner an hour ago. Meanwhile the server who took our order stood in a corner and watched us speak to this other server, and he never came over to talk to us. We ended up at McDonalds and received prompt service. Between customers, the manager was busy cleaning and wiping down tables. I know white spot is not high end but I expect them to clear tables and get orders out in a timely fashion. We will not be returning to this location.

Service was very slow. Some customers were not impressed & one couple left. We were not in a hurry so the wait did not bother us.
My friends orders got mixed up and we ended up with an extra plate of food. Everyone in my group did enjoy their meals though. Not sure why so slow even though when we got there it was not busy. I hope they sort out this issue soon as this is a really good brunch spot.

Delayed service. Soup not hot. Ordered again to be served hot.fried Brussel sprouts was very oily.will not go again

Service quality is totally messed up. First 45 minutes no body even asked what we are going to drink. Lots of items not available from the menu. Simple pouting order took as of now 35 minutes. Never recommended to anybody unless if you have 3 to 4 hours to waste. Also do not go there if you are hungry. Very Poor management. I thought White Spot brand is quality but I was wrong. Never again.

Today is Wednesday November 2 nd. We had the most pleasant little waitress. She stretched herself thin and did all she could to cover all of the lunch hour tables. It was odd to not see senior staff not help out too much.
She impressed us so much to be able to cover all those tables by herself. We tipped her well. Senior staff. DO MORE!

The food was delicious. We had soup and clubhouse sandwiches, as well as the fish&chips.
We will be back. Senior staff or male staff standing around. Do more

I am literally sitting at this restaurant waiting for service. They seem bent on serving other table that were seated before me, I get it they’re busy. I was acknowledged once then the server went to serve another table. If I could give a zero I would.

Normally I love white spot! This time around, however, they seemed both understaffed and a bit disinterested in the guests. Our coffees took about 20 minutes to get to us and our food looked old and dried out like it had been hanging out under heat lamps getting a nice leathery tan. I know these are tough times but the experience makes me want to pass on by next time.

Picked up takeout order, got home, realised part of it was missing. Called restaurant, staff asked me to return to restaurant to pick up rest of order. Went back to restaurant with my own time and gas, and staff refused to fulfill the order I paid for. Thieves.

I hope you enjoyed my food, because it cost you my family's business for life.

Horrible service! Food was cold coming out and they had one waiter serving for the entire restaurant who clearly wasn’t trained properly. If I could give zero stars I would. Will never go to this location again!

Good place for evening meal and lunch when staying in the hotel prior to flying back to the UK

The restaurant is entirely different from the hotel. Meals are terrific as was the service.

Not a bad location, parking is very difficult. It took a while for us to get out meals, don't know if it was due to staffing issues. It would be nice to see members of the staff ensuring that customers are taken care of after the meals come. Out of 40 minutes we where approached once when we finished.

Do not go here. There staff is incredibly rude. I went for breakfast a few weeks ago with my daughter and they didn't know how to make a mimosa. Than when I asked for a different drink she made it wrong and I asked her for some water. She than gave me attitude and argued with me. Than made us want an hour for the food and it was cold when we got it. I asked to speak with a manager and they kept refusing. So they said they would cover the bill and told us to get out. I've been calling everyday for 3 weeks to speak to a manager and they keep refusing. I'm disgusted that this place actually is still open

Sat by one server, ordered water with secondary server, waited 20min, third server came to check in / take orders and brought our water after, waited another 20min and watched a table sat WAY after us get served their food and drinks on a timely basis.
Pathetic service, wont be back.

Foods ok. Service is polite but terrible. First time I’ve never left a tip in 30+ years. You get the feeling that no one here has worked in the restaurant business before.

July 2022 - we just had the most awful food and service at this WS. It took over 40 minutes for our sandwiches to arrive; the salad was in a warm bowl and the beef dip was stone cold. They offered to make a new sandwich but it would take another 20 minutes. They ended up microwaving the sandwich which made the beef like shoe leather and the bread like a sponge. They comped my meal but my wife's meal should have been free as well. The waitress should be embarrassed to have such low standards and to serve us subpar food. The manager did not even come by to apologize, NEVER AGAIN!

June 2019 - Typical White Spot food. Food is good, prices are fair. We visit here about once a month and always received good service. One time after paying I didn't receive my change back. Asked for my change and the waitress tried to convince me that they round up to the next dollar! I had to tell her that they round up to the next nickel, not the next dollar!

Was there for breakfast twice. Solid quality. Price is comparable to other similar type family restaurants in Vancouver. What set this location apart was the service. All the staff were friendly and accommodating to a fault. Made the entire experience well worth it

Stood at the entrance waiting to get menu for 15 mins not one of the staff even acknowledged me being there this isn't the first time too there where 3 tables with ppl in them so it wasn't busy

Waitress didn’t bring us cutlery or napkins but brought our food minus the sides. We had to ask for them. Never came back to our table till we flagged her down to pay

Holy hell the pricing here. Usually only order here when I get a deal. But 15 bucks for a semi-good burger with cheese you gotta pay for extra and fries or salad.come on. That's the legendary, the cheapest too. I would go more. But it's such a price gouge.

Prices are even worse now since I wrote this. You used to be able to get free Triple-O sauce on the side with your takeout order and a pop was free with it. Nope. Not anymore! Food is tasty but not worth the gouge! Yikes. Gotta give White Spot two stars now. So unfortunate. Used to love going to this chain.

Food was great. Service was so average. We were looked at once the whole time.
The most interesting part was, Paying $4 for a filtered coffee that is not any different than a coffee from a gas station coffee stand, was completely
unacceptable.
On top of that I was charged $4 for fountain drink. That was a hard hit.

Nice enough branch of the chain. Access/parking is getting harder with the development in the area. You can park in the hotel's parking spots

This place is not coast hotel anymore, Best Western took over this place and is not the best place to stay at only if your staying overnight at airport. The thing this has going for it, that it is close to the airport and has free shuttle service. Anything else just wrong with this place I went to ice machine on 2 floors but it's not working, does the little humming sound but no ice is coming out. Be aware if your staying more than 1 night they don't clean the room everyday not even to replenish the condiments. Fridge inside the room does not work. Whute spot is the restaurant attached to best Western hotel. They close at 9 overcharged for what I feel was too much 9.00 CAD for 3 bottles of water.

Possibly one of the worst dine in experiences I’ve ever had in life. The server was too rude and cared the least about the customers.

Their behaviour and their attitude towards the customers is absolutely horrible.

So glad you are open at 8 am for breakfast. We had beef cheese hash. Amazing. The waitress was on her first day and was very pleasant and helpful.

Wrong orders. Disorganized. Rotten food (seriously). They at least didn’t charge us for the bad stuff, but overall…

They get you seated: then you wait for 30 mins.someone will come and take your order you keep on waving, looking at them. They dont care.

When they take you order they do not tell you how busy it is like how long will it take.

The server was too rude.

It was not a WHITE SPOT.

Looking forward to strictly avoiding this location.

We came here regularly and service was decent, no real complaints (occasionally slow). We came back and they changed all their staff. We waited over an hour and our food never showed up. They apparently gave the food to a wrong table and didn't communicate to us. It is just a complete mess with their new staff. We told them we had to leave and would just pay for what came (coffee and a pirate pack). It took 20 min to get our bill. Won't be returning, will head to kerrisdale. Bring back Neil!

White spot needs to put their prices into check.
Fish and chips $20. No drink.
Put that into perspective
Fish is $10
And maybe two large potato's $10
I instantly regret paying these prices.

Order the Reheat Turkey Dinner for 2 for Thanksgiving and I am very disappointed. The turkey seems to be processed turkey from Costco. I expected it to be restaurant quality food especially from White Spot.

It's a White Spot and not a Triple O's. Parking is easy, and there is a dedicated lot that is free for 2 hours. The bad news is that one has to exit along Marine Drive, unless you park elsewhere.

First time ordering from this particular Whit Spot, and this was the worse experience ever. Picked up the order and on arrival at home, discovered that instead of chicken, were given a beef burger. On phoning to complain, no apology for the mix up or option of refund for the wrong food items was offered! Will avoid this place in future.

Very disappointed with my service. Took over 30 minutes for my food to arrive even though there were only 3 customers at the restaurant.

Fries were a bit under cook. Also found hair in my ketchup. The server didn't seem to care that much.

Food was good as usual for most White Spots. Service was adequate and we had to actually find someone to pay our bill too.

The staff sounds very impatient on the phone even at their least busy hour. Curious to know if the service will actually be good.

The food was good. The service was exceptional. Sumeet and Jolan took great care of our special requests. Would definitely visit again.

Mother's Day with "The Spot" was a disappointment, after ordering a few dishes well in advance for later pickup.
The staff was busy in the kitchen, with no one available at the front to check in with.
So, of course everything was cold and required reheating. Reheating one of their famous cheeseburgers, sucked every bit of taste out of it.
The seafood dish.a small piece of-apparently Halibut with a splash of mashed potatoes, did not fare any better. After also enduring the degradation of rewarming, it's taste was indistinguishable from any bit of finned creature. The cost of the "special dinner" was way to much for this Mother's Day insult. I'm sure that on any normal day, it would have been a much different scenario.

I always enjoy the food here! Their cod fish and chips are big portions and taste really good! I also recommend their bolognese pasta also very delicious and for dessert you must order their apple pie. You won’t leave disappointed!

Waited an hour for our order and still made a mistake, we thought instead of ordering from skip the dish since it charge them 30% so I thought I could help but no way I’m doing a pick up anymore.

Poor phone service (they hung up on us the first time) and poor attention to detail. They forgot our fries and as we stopped out of convenience there was nothing they could do to compensate us. We will not be returning and if in the area will be choosing the Oakridge location instead

Over 20 minute wait to get in for breakfast with only 2 tables filled at the time. The staff didnt acknowledge us, they just passed by us giving us rude glances as if we were just an inconvenience to them by offering them our business. Then recieved hard, burnt waffles with barely any topping for breakfast I couldnt even eat. Was a really disappointing part of my vacation.

Always love the zoo sticks. The Beyond-Meat burger was mushy.too bad since I’ve had better. The Legendary burger is always great.

I went for sunday breakfast and was greeted by a hostess who asked if i wanted a coffee when she sat me. No coffee came so when the waitress finally came i was like, where's my coffee? She made an excuse. That being said the breakfast i ordered, eggs benny with smashed potatoes was very good. I only ate one of the bennys, ate the plated "endless" smashed spuds and then ordered another order of the endless spuds. I finished my coffee, asked for a takeout container for my food and the waitress gave me an eye roll to show she was not pleased I'd ordered my endless spuds only to take them with me. Rude staff, good food.

Second time there, first with group of friends. And today by myself, same waitress took my orderand after plate arrived I realized I ordered an item on menu by mistake, long wait time. Told server and she said there is nothing she can do.didn't end up eating the main thing on the plate. Servers can do something in a well managed restaurant even taking the tea I ordered from the bill. In hospitality industry a person just can't say there is nothing we can do unless there is a policy.

Had a late dinner last night, food and service was awesome, had breakfast tho the next morning service not as good.

Sherry was a great server. Met all are needs and was fun. Thank you for putting up with some travellers.

What's not to love about the place, great food check, great ambience check, enough seating check, amazing service check, live sports at the bar check.

It would be nice to have the option of a free tea refill. They give free coffee refills.

Large menu selection from carnivores to vegans and children's and seniors menu's. Really wonderful servers that are friendly and professional. Restaurant is inside the Coast Hotel located Oak st and SW Marine dr.

Hands down least favourite white spot I've ever been to. Service is notoriously slow, and the food isnt as good as the other ones.
Only go here for take out and it is the closest one.

Rude staff. Left waiting to be seated twice. Then when seated myself told to move table's. Undercooked food. Never again.

We live in the area. Food is great and servers try hard - all of which makes for a relaxed dining experience. Wish the nearby construction was done though as it makes getting the the front entrance harder.

They gave me a breaded bun after I said i was allergic. Than said he would re make it and gave me the same burger on a new bun

Skip this one. After a lengthy wait, out cold food arrived. Sent it back for warmer burger. My water glass sat empty (at the edge of table) for at least 10 min. Waitress had a very flippant attitude.

Only downfall which made the start of the visit unenjoyable was that it was so much colder in the whitespot side (hotel lobby was comfortable) that we had to keep our jackets on for about 15 minutes until our coffees warmed us up
I really dislike when restaurants keep the place cool for the staff who are running around and not thinking of the customers who are coming from outside in the cold and are made to feel uncomfortable. Staff can have desk fans, we can't bring portable heaters:)

Ordered baby rib.waited 30 mins for the food to come and it tasted good but had diarrhea immediately after. NOT GOOD

The server as always is the best every time we go to this White Spot on Marine Drive and Oak. The food always fantastic.

Service was good. I had the buttermilk chicken salad. It was not good. Nothing wrong with it. Just blah.

Enjoyable Family Birthday Gathering

Our group of eight had a dinner get together for a birthday celebration.
We were told that Sunday evenings are busy, so we arrived at 5pm and had no problem getting seated.
My partner and I tried the "Beyond Meat" burger for the first time. We were impressed.
My Southwest Power Bowl was delicious. The flavour combinations were great.
Our server was helpful and friendly.
Sunday evenings are bustling, but we were happy with our experience.

Service is decent. But THERE should always be a hostess besides the nice servers that works here during the day time. Gotta have at least 1 or 2 hosts working the front door at this White Spot. Don’t want to be waiting for awhile to be seated at a table.

Great food! Service was good. Very clean. After a few meals there things changed from a 4 to a 2. Best meal I had was the chicken pot pie. Service was on and off.

The usual great white spot food. Not the nicest atmosphere due to the building and parking spots around the corner.

Food was cold. Ordered lasgna it was dry. Only 1 server, service was slow, food was slow and cold. Not worth the $.
