White Spot Ackroyd

Had a delightful dining experience! Went for lunch, but it was crowded, had to wait for a table and food for almost an hour. The waiter, Cat, was incredibly nice and enthusiastic. Despite the wait, they kindly informed us our meal was on the house.

Preferred white spot location. Clean placecwith great staff. Happy hour is great, and as always the burgers, pasta and sandwiches. Sometimes, the "asian" food isn't as asian as I would like it but just okay.

Good for lunch at the patio and the portion is big. I need to pack half to bring home. Waffle is very crispy.

Staff are nice their very professional. The restaurant is always clean and tidy bathrooms or tidy. Also, the food is really good specially the burgers I love the burgers, and I very much like the Caesar salad and wraps.

I don’t know why but, the last three times I’ve ordered in the afternoon for take out I always have an issue that never gets taken care of. Went there this week and did not get the right services and got charged more for my meal. When I brought it up they told me they were right and I must have been mistaken. The evening crew is so much better, I’ve rarely had an issue when I order at night. The time I have had an issue they fix it right away with no issue not like the afternoon crew that tells me I’m wrong.

I’ve been to a few locations in Richmond and nothing tops the ackroyd location! My family or I tend to order takeout mostly and every time I’ve placed an order online it’s been correct, or sometimes I’ll call the store as there’s some special orders and I’ve had the privilege of speaking with the customer service manager (I believe his name was Matt? I hope it is! LOL) and I’ve also had nothing but awesome experiences with Ilyssa, as every time I come in she is so lovely and kind! Making sure everything is packed in the bag and even helping me to my car! Ilyssa is super personable as well as we have great conversation as I’m waiting or as we go to the car. Hoping when we come in to dine she is our server! She’s the best!

Undercooked burgers, made us sick. $100 order thru skip the dishes and told.to deal.with them lol whitespot manager left a $30 coupon for me. 3 burgers undercooked, just lovely. Beware, buy some immodium, and gravol.

Solid family place for a meal. Well managed. Can get a bit busy at peak times on weekend dinner, so be aware of waits even when seated.

The food here is always the only thing is their prices are waayyy too high for a non fine dining restaurant. If I’m paying $18+ for a burger set I expect it to be a phenomenal burger, not just good- but anyways yeah milkshakes are very good

It's better than the one at Richmond Center. I've been going here since I was a little kid, service has always been good, food is usually decent. I'd stay away from anything with chicken as is usually something frozen or comes out undercooked. The burgers are always a safe bet.

Not good. Food was ok. Waiting time for food toooo long. Staff was angry to each other and arguing with each other loud. Didnt feel like White Spot at all.

Terrible place, definitely not coming back. The attention is so bad, you have to wait to get seated, have to wait to order, a really long wait to get the food and drinks that have absolute no taste, another wait to get the bill and another wait to even pay. So not worth it

Stopped by for an 'impossible burger' and a coffee, first time I've eaten out since May of 2020. Burger was delicious, coffee is always good, and service was quick and super friendly. Love the spot!

Easy to get a table without lineup and interior is good with a prominent bar. Good value, service and food. I would recommend this place for low key meal

The double burger was very well made - I would eat it again. Due to covid restrictions, we ate on the patio - which was good as well.

The chicken Cobb salad, however, needs a lot of work. The chicken, which was breaded, seemed like it was from a cheap frozen packet you can buy at a supermarket. It was not tasty or very fresh. On top of that, the dressing was also not good.

It's been a while since I've gone to White Spot since their quality had been going down in all their branches. We went recently and definitely saw a great improvement! All of the food was hot, fries and zoo sticks were not soggy or cold. Only complaint was the appetizer, wish they kept the sauce separate from the squid.

Horrible manager at this location. Her standards of 'blueberry pie' do not fill a bottom layer of the crust. This grotesque item placed before me was cheap canned-whipped cream. The berries were obviously freezer-burned as they had a sick and chewy consistency. I emailed their customer service representatives, however, Linda emailed back with no refund or anything. Flabbergasted by the unprofessionalism at this location. Do not go here, it's very unsanitary and the manager is a cheapskate

The most delicious meal our team has had in a very long time! We placed a big order for the 8 of us just before closing during a busy long weekend and the staff member took our order without hesitation. She listened and got the order correct, she read it back and confirmed it, everything was there as ordered when we got home. The food was still hot, we didn't need to re-heat it, and it felt as if we were dining in, even tho it was take out and we drove from Richmond to Delta. The food was clearly made with love and tasted amazing.

Hands down best take out meal we've ever had. Nothing was missed, all the extra sauces we requested were in the bags and the kids even got a few extra coins in their Pirate Packs. Thank you for the exceptional service and attention to detail.

Kudos to the whole team, we will be back again soon!

Andrew is a very nice and wonderful server, and makes you Feel at home. The new menu is also nice. I like the new pink lemonade and the squid but I still miss the old bacon and Brussels.

It's a very cozy, friendly local spot for me, when I need to get a few drinks and some food in a short amount of time, close to my place, this is one of the options on the table. Price is good, quality of some foods and drinks are also good.

Overpriced food and quality was terrible. Not a great experience to be in the middle of eating dinner and a homeless person asking for cigarettes and his strong smell left behind inside the whole restaurant. Understaffed I guess for not noticing him coming in.

POT PIE is tiny and unflavored for almost 20cad. GO TO SAVE ON FOOD instead same size and more flavor.

This Whitespot was better then the other one across the street by Richmond Center and is faster more friendly and more willing to help

Decent chain. White Spot is the right spot for casual family fare. Good drink specials but super outdated interior design. Was underwhelmed with their club sandwich. Strange aspect to review, though their bread choice was terrible- it literally cutup the roof of my mouth as I was eating it, perhaps the way it was toasted but the scratchiest piece of bread ever. Enjoy their bread with caution ‍️.

Service is ok but really disappointed the new chicken pot pie. It was one of my favorites in White spot but the new one is not the same. The pie crust was so salty n the filling is not as good as the old one.

I waited for 7 minutes then pointed out that there was several tables available. They said they were too busy to seat me. Below is the guy who told me to leave because I was asking to be seated rudely, after 7 minutes.

Really nice staff, hard working and courteous. We only stopped by for a coffee but thry treated us like kings.

There was an elderly gentleman there stopping by for some onion rings and soup. The staff were equally amazing to him. They knew him by name and it looked like they kept him company.

I'd say this is the nicest little White Spot in BC.

No receptionist. They will have you wait five minutes at the door before a server waddles their way to you. Food also comes slow. It's better to just visit the one at Richmond Centre.

Went on Easter long weekend on Friday night with my daughter, impolite staff, never told us they are closing soon, made us rush our order, seafood pasta like frozen store bought heated up no flavor not worth paying 20 bucks, half way eating our food they put the bill on the table, had to ask for cutlery and asked Parmesan never brought it, I would never visit that particular location again.

Nice family style sit down/pub kind of restaurant, went for breakfast got the Brie and ham scrambler. It was pretty good, quality cheese for sure. The waitress was very charming and hospitable.

Had a group of 6 and everyone ordered milkshakes. The steel cups that contain extra milkshake are usually more then half full but this time everyone's was LESS then a quarter full. Not a huge deal but when questioned about it we were told the standards have changed and that is the norm which was a blatant lie. This location gets crossed off the list.

We needed somewhere to take 25 people after the boys' soccer game in Richmond and (to make a long story short!) we ended up at White Spot Ackroyd. Prince, the Host, gave us such a warm welcome and immediately said "Yes, come in and we will find room for you! " (we had just been turned down by their neighbours, so this was a very welcome greeting). Prince got to work right away on putting a large table together for the parents and had an area where the boys could sit in two groups at booths. Emily, our server, was perfectly professional, got everything organized, got food orders out in a timely manner and was top notch. Stavros, the GM was welcoming and accommodating. I wish I could give more than five stars because you deserve ALL the stars possible. Thank you Prince, Emily and Stavros for your excellent hospitality, we will be back next time we're in Richmond!

Good location for a White Spot, rather close to Richmond centre, but whatever. Try the chicken broccoli cheese dish, if you enjoy a hint of curry.

Service was alright. Wasn't impressed with a response to an omelette request with "that's not how this works" food was decent.

Terrible experience, the attitude was awful, waiters saw but ignore us. We asked for order but they said call somebody else to help us.

Came by after a lot of shopping and walking. There was no wait. Our server Thomas was very amazing. He was able to have our kids pirate pack sent as soon as it was ready. Great service.

The strawberry milkshakes are really really good. Maybe best milkshakes in the city.

But that's the only thing that's good here. The food is not great.

Visited here on a busy long weekend. We were told it was a 10 to 15 min.wait but we were seated in less than 5. Our order came quickly and the food was hot and good. Great place for a quick meal. We'll be back.

Once again a disappointing experience. Waited 30min for dry ribs and spinach dip and then eventually when they arrived, it arrived with main course all at the same time. So frustrating! Need to be consistent!

Awful service, server said she'd be right back and we never saw her again. We sat there fit 10 minutes, unattended. Despite our hunger, we just got up and left.

Great place for legendary burger and pasta. This place is less crowded than the Richmond center one so we always check thos place out first. The location besides ikea is also less crowded but a little far. Kids love their pirate boat kids meal

The white spot at Richmond center is definitely better than this one. We only decided to go here since there was a long wait at the Richmond center location. It was pretty empty when we got here, but it still took forever for someone to come and seat us. The food was worst than all of the other locations I've tried - my fish tacos were super soggy and tasted off.

Friendly customer service, usually no wait, food arrives quicky. I have no complaints. Definitely would recommend this location!

Oh my god you gotta try the double double burger with a caesar and onion rings! Oh oh and their special sauce! Now I'm hungry!

Food is just generic white spot standard, but this store’s service is really really slow compare to other stores.

Busy and short staffed, good kitchen staff.

I stopped in for breakfast on a Friday and they were short several staff and thus were unable to maintain even minimal staff standards, long waits for coffee, requests for water going unfulfilled, guests having to find their own ketchup etc. I don’t blame the staff, they were clearly doing all that was possible, they were just spread too thin.

Their kitchen staff seem excellent, the food arrived in good time as was perfectly prepared.

White spot’s menu has been trending toward “fancier” items rather than the simple fare they used to offer. For example, I would have preferred a simple omelette, but there is no such thing on their menu.

I would recommend this location, but until they resolve their staffing shortage, I’d avoid them when they are busy.

Very miserable experience. I came in at 8 PM Monday, July 9,2018. I was seated but was never assigned a server or even offered water. The hostess kept saying she was going to find a server but I never received one. It was almost like they did not want my business. I finally ended up leaving without ordering anything. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Normally I love White Spot but my first visit to the Ackroyd location was not a good experience. We were seated in a back corner, next to the washrooms and it became very apparent that the staff had forgotten we had been seated there. 20 minutes after being seated we still hadn't been asked for our drink orders. It wasn't until a staff member came down our way to bus tables that he saw us and gave a startled, "Oh! " He then commenced with taking our order but no apology was offered. We had their chicken strips and Caesar salad which was delicious, however, the fish and chips meal we also ordered came over-fried. This was my first bad experience at a White Spot so I am sure I will give this location another shot in the future.

Its ok. Another one of those family chain restaurants. The menu is pretty safe. Nothing outstanding. Always felt the prices are a little much for the portion size. An average place to eat.

Gab Is an amazing server. Even though she was busy and the only server working at the time, she still made me feel valued as a customer and the service did not feel rushed. The service was quick & accurate and her friendly demeanor really made for an enjoyable experience. She also made sure I always had a beverage and was well taken care of. It’s servers like this that keep me coming back to restaurants. Thank you Gab!
