White Spot Gilmore

Waitress was amazing! However, the food was terrible. I’ve been to white spot many times before… But for some reason today, the food just didn’t sit right with me. I believe that they are cutting corners and shipping out on shit… These guys are terrible. The manager came to the table to fix my order, but did not even apologize for their inaccuracies and poor food.

But the waitress was amazing!

Ordered delivery of baby ribs with side of French fries and coleslaw. Baby ribs were delicious and would be happy to have those again, but French fries were super disappointing. Half the box of little ends and pieces overfried and burnt, things that usually are left at the bottom, yet it was served as full meal in our case. The fries also arrived cold and dryish, doesn't seem to be made to order or anytime close to ordering (restaurant is only 1km away from our house, so can't blame the weather or distance).

Ordered takeout, was discriminated against as soon as I entered the restaurant by a horribly rude waitress. Refused to bring me my food unless I waited outside in the cold and rain. When I got home, the order was incorrect. Just a bad experience all around. I will not be back.

The place is clean, the food is good, the price is fair, the attendants are polite and helpful and the is a lot of place to park

Exactly as expected. Efficient, friendly and functional. The roasted potatoes at breakfast were spectacular.

I've never had a bad experience at a white Spot in my life, this was the first time for me at this location and my wife pulled out an ALREADY EATEN chicken wing from her Quesadilla. All they did was take that one item off the bill. Totally grossed out and will NEVER return to this location. Absolutely insane.

I usually get takeout here but I have dined in before. All the servers are super nice and service is pretty consistent and good. There’s a kind server who has been helping me with my takeout orders in the early mornings before work. I think her name is Sandra.

I usually grab a Sunny Start sandwich and get my smash browns extra crispy.

The service was pretty slow, and the food came out a tiny bit cold, but the interior of the white spot was better than some of the others

Awesome service. The waiter went the extra mile the whole time.it was like he was reading our minds. I feel bad that I forgot his name to give him a shout out but he made our experience fun. The food was good to

Bad service and bad food, their famous triple O burger was dry and burnt. Disappointed. Waiter was lazy and kept on bring other people orders to our table by mistake.

We had an absolutely awesome experience! Our waiter name was Javier and he was superb! We did the Eat in your car option where you put your hazard lights on and it was my first time and I loved it! But a great experience I highly recommend it.

I went here earlier in the summer and the service was fairly disappointing, it took about 10 minutes to be greeted and it took even longer for our water to arrive. I wasn’t going to write a review but I was told from a friend about the unprofessionalism at this location as well. They had to wait well over an hour past the meeting time for their interview, then were told they would be given the job, only to be told a few days later that they will not be given the position anymore (they had already bought pants needed for the job). It baffles my mind that any business can be run like this, truly dissatisfied.

Maybe I came just after a big rush but it appeared run down. The floors needed sweeping and some tables couldve used a bit more thorough cleaning. However the staff are very friendly and accommodating!

Made us wait an hour for a burger and fries. My recommendation is if you are that busy with your takeout orders maybe be upfront about it. Let people know incase they need to be somewhere by a certain time.

Excellent Service, fast & efficent, very tasty turkey & avacado wrap. Omg I have never had a breakfast that tasted this good. I would definately order it again. Waitress Colleen was superb. She was a little distracted in the very beganning where I had to repeatedly ask for napkins, & more Coffee, but quickly realized she was totally by herself & 4 tables to serve. Hats off it was very pleasant at this Whitespot, will go again.

Only 4 cars in parking lot me and my family stood at front to be seated over 15 minutes off we go to ABC family restaurant great service and food all the time

We have ordered here many times through skip. White spot continues to mess up our orders. Last 5 times got 1 right. So I figured it out. Want fries? Order rings.
Want a BC burger? Order a legendary.
Ask to deliver it cold.

First time at this WhiteSpot. Had a lovely dinner. Staff were fast, friendly and efficient. The restaurant was well maintained, however still had the old style dinner layout which is not particularly my cup of tea. Yet if you're looking for some old WhiteSpot nostalgia, this is your spot ;-)

Usually you go to a diner to get inexpensive comfort food. Instead, we got an expensive, tasteless and bland excuse for fast food. More flavour and value at McDonalds.

Service was great though. Hope the chef sees this.

I like to take my youngest son here for our weekly date nights. He orders the salmon burger and I loooove the mushroom cheddar burger. Cool booths for sitting in and the wait staff is efficient but not too in your face. My pet peeve is when waiters are always asking how everything is and you have a mouth full of food or are in the middle of a sentence. That doesn't happen here. Thank you Whitspot

Th is location has lots of free parking, and is usually busy. Lots of booth seating and the service is usually good. Typical White spot menu, but always tasty and good value. Covid protocols are good. Some really lovely servers.

"Nostaligia" would be my way of saying that this place has been here for many years. I haven't been to a White Spot (particularly this location) in many years and it looks the same since. Friendly staff, but it did take our food awhile to come out. Unlimited fries or smashed potatoes that comes with quite a few entrees. You will come out full.

Same menu, experience, and taste as most other Whitespots. However, this location is just a bit older than other Whitespots. For example, the paint on the tables were a bit chipped and the interior lighting was inconsistent. I would love if this location would receive a renovation in the near future!

I'd love to rate this place higher, I like the food, but literally the last four times I've gotten takeout here they have messed up my order, mostly things I paid for not included in the bag. Two times they forgot my ceasar salad, and this last time they forgot my diet coke and forgot to put Avacado on our Avacado impossible burger.

They really need to get better about organization with takeout orders. Close to 100% error rate is really bad.

White Spot junkie. Love the BC Burger, think they call it the bacon cheddar burger or something but I call it the BC burger as it was called that when they just had White Spot local to BC. Service is good, food is awesome and free fries are hard to beat.

They Made It Right!
I ordered a Legendary with two add-ons, and friend ordered a basic Legendary. They got both orders wrong.
But when I said they were not as ordered, they did both orders Fresh and Correct!
All in all, mistakes happen, and it was made right and satisfactory.
I'll be going back to them when I want a great burger.
As an aside, the server knew how to properly make a cup of tea!

Been waiting for my food for over an hour and it's still not here. Server didn't even follow up. Had to flag her down after 45 Mins. Not even busy.

Despite the restaurant being packed on a Sunday, the service was good, and the waits were not too long.

Service was very nice.
Dry ribs were missing meat and a bit fatty.
Club house had very little ingredients.

For what is charged they should look at their quantity and quality levels

Always a good time and awesome food at this classic White Spot location. Friendly staff and always a smiling face to greet you. AAA+ awesome!

Been here multiple times, and the food is always up to par. The big let down this time however was a request for some brown sugar to go with coffee was made four times, to three different people over the space of about 20 mins.

Disappointing.

White Spot is no longer family friendly. Prices are appallingly high for the type of restaurant that it is. The menu looks fancier but the food is still the same. If I wanted to pay that much for a burger or fish and chips, I'd go to a better quality place.

Took the time to make us some baby food I really loved that they didn't even though it was not on the menu

This was a very pleasant experience. With white spot, every experience is different depending on location and who is working. Today our food and service were impeccable. I still gave only 4 stars based on the restaurant as a whole. It's always a quick go to for the whole family and if you don't go expecting too much it is satisfying. Perhaps some of the appeal is the nostalgia factor, as I have very fond memories of pirate packs as a kid.

Come here only if you want your time and money wasted - atrocious service, infuriatingly slow, marginal food, orders wrong, checks wrong.

It took 30 minutes before we finally hailed someone to get us water and take orders. An HOUR and fifteen minutes before getting our food. And when they finally served the food, they screwed it up. Had to redo orders. Cue more waiting. When we finally get the bills, multiple had incorrect extra charges on them.

For this kind of price point, I'm sorry, but this place is a disgrace.

Food was just okay, staff were super friendly and helpful. Prices were too high for what was offered.

Had the legendary burger on a gluten free bun, not bad but not as good as I've had before. The zoo sticks seemed a little undercooked, but passable. Service for coffee was good but my hot water didn't get filled again.hmm.because it's free?

Typically White Spot. There are nicer looking ones around but, food wise this is one of my favourites. Never been disappointed by what comes out of the kitchen here.

Awful! Waited 20 minutes after being seated before anyone came to table. After a further 25 minutes, food arrived not hot and not as ordered. Very disappointed.

Been a regular customer here for a while this location has good casual food and mediocre customer service (depending on your server) i did get a pissed off look from my server for checking e-mails‍️

Stepped in for dinner last week noticed "NEW" on the menu fried chicken (Chicken in the Straw) the picture shows a delicious mouthwatering cooked to perfection piece of chicken (i know photos are staged and photoshopped) the chicken i got was cooked to death then cooked some more it was absolutely disgusting (they actually had the nerve to serve that kind of) go figure

A family favourite. Staff is great, waits are short to reasonable at this location and the food is consistently Whitespot. So if you are a fan (I think most of us are at some point) enjoy:)

The service at this location is appalling. My wife and I stopped eating in here because they dont deserve tips. We order take out every now and then. We are always thoroughly disappointed with how we are given a time for our food to be ready and without fail we end up waiting the same amount of time at the restaurant that has been quoted for it to be ready. Double the time every time. The kitchen is filthy. Step it up guys.

It's like Canadian Denny's accept it actually tastes good. And smash Browns don't forget about the smash Browns because that's really all you need to go there for.

Our guests from the Yukon, requested a Whitespot experience. They arrived at 8 pm, were seated right away and ordered drinks and appetizers. Only after this, were they informed, they had rum out of steak, pork, rice, broccoli and cheese and fettuccini. Common curtesy would have been to have been informed of this prior to ordering the drinks and appetizers. No one ate what they went there to eat. We were offered free dessert as compensation. You could imagine our surprise when we were informed only one free dessert was being offered by management. Very disappointing.

Typical American food. Nothing very special, at prices I find a little high for what you get. Seems very popular to the locals. They may try using smaller plates so there is less white space around the food. I had a burger with salad. Was nothing more or less than I expected.

Honestly not the best. We expect a lot from White Spot as we know it's good. But this location was slow to serve our food and it was cold and slightly stale! (Hard bread). Could be worse but definitely could be better.

Not very pleased, down visiting from Yukon, took my cousin for a Thank you supper for having us stay with him. Only after having drinks served and then hors-d'ouvres were we told they have no Steak, Porkchops, Fettuccini and Rice available to serve. Being told before ordering would have been more appropriate. Then after having a lesser meal we were graciously offered a free desert in compensation. After ordering dessert we were told the Manager only offered one on the house. I declined! Yep I will go back!

The food here is good, but the service needs work. I came here for lunch with a friend around 2pm. I know the servers saw us as my eyes were in direct contact with theirs, I'm just wondering why it took over 10 minutes to get us seated especially since it was kinda slow. The wait time at the service wasn't much better either. However, the upside of this place is the food. I ordered their Brunch burger, beef patty, lettuce, tomato, onion ring, fried egg and sauce. Wow! What a brunch burger it was, tasted like breakfast and lunch made love and had a baby. That burger would be the child of that love making. The fries could have been better though, but anyways I'm glad that I ordered extra fries for us when we made the order as we didn't have to wait for more. Another thing that disappoints me about these types of restaurants is the price for soft drinks, $3.50 for unlimited refills isn't bad, but do make sure you do get refills otherwise it's definitely not worth getting it.

It's unfortunate that one must provide a star to post a review, because this place deserves zero.

Let's start from the beginning:
-Online order placed for a party of 7.
-Team member went to pick up the order; while checking everything was inputted correctly in the system, the host indicated that he would bring the food over to her car when it was complete, essentially ushering her out of the restaurant.

Separating the meals and consumption:
-Yam fries provided instead of normal fries. No one asked for yam fries. The box indicates that the fries come with special "secret" Triple O's sauce, and it came with nothing. I guess the secret sauce is that there is no sauce. Surprise, surprise.
-Clearly indicated that one salad was supposed to be caesar salad and not garden salad. Lo and behold, it is a garden salad and not a caesar salad. Salad also came with a stem - lovely!
-Ordered drinks with the meals; no drinks provided.
-Special note was given that we have a member allergic to nuts. She gets an allergic reaction to her food.

Here's the kicker:
-The bag clearly indicates a sticker that says the preparation and packaging is spot checked by "insert name. " No name was put down there. Either the spot checker was a coward to put their name down, or it wasn't spot checked at all.

Note to the restaurant:
-Maybe next time someone wants to stay at the till to ensure everything gets inputted correctly, you LET THEM instead stick around instead of ushering them out.
-Specifically asked for the bill that gives a breakdown of everything that was ordered and was only provided the total payment. Hmm. I wonder why they did that?
