White Spot Whatcom

This is my favorite White Spot in Abbotsford and favorite over Mission White Spot. Thank you for the great service Austin.

I want to thank Daisy, who served us and the chef who was working on September 13,2023
We were there at 8: 05 and the closing time was 9: 00, the server was very calm and welcoming. When we ordered our last item the chef was already done and was standing outside the kitchen. But he happily went back to the kitchen to prepare our order with a smile.

Prices have skyrocketed here, not really worth the money anymore for what, you get. For the huge price increase, portions are smaller and the food quality seems to have taken a nose dive as well. Such a shame, I used to enjoy coming here.

I'm giving it 4 stars only because of the service. Let me explain. I've been here before but this time decided to sit outside on the patio. We got served pretty quickly since they sat is there but because we were the only one sitting outside the service was a bit slow. If we wanted anything we either have to go in or wait till the server came out. I think if there were more people it would be different. Maybe they forgot we were out there? Who knows. Overall great place. My suggestion would be to have some way of contacting the server (like a bell or a light) just something

I've been here 4-5 times in the last few years. Always a bit chaotic but the servers do their best. I keep coming back so it can't be that bad.

Service was ok but took 15-20 mins after we were seated before anyone showed up, & there were plenty of empty tables.overall the service was good, the food is good but expensive, still love a triple-O burger!

Unfortunately I had a toasted shrimp sandwich, sandwich must have sat as the one side was toast was mushy fries we only warmish, very disappointing.

Chicken tasted like it was 95 years old and asked for hot French fries they were cold. I was very disappointed because it's usually very good. Short staffed in the kitchen I don't know?

I've been to White Spot over 100 times in various locations around B. C. My recent visit to the Whatcom location for a family dinner was spectacularly bad. An outlier in normally predictable, decent family dining. I was excited to try the new Korean Fried chicken sandwich and found it to be inedible. I've been to Korea and I love, love, love Korean fried chicken so I figured it was time to try something other than the very decent legendary burger. Big mistake. The chicken was so tough I couldn't bite through it. I had to use a knife to cut it up. And the the gochujang sauce tasted as if if was just the paste right out of the container with no other ingredients. It's very rare that I don't finish a meal but in this case, I ate two bites and left the burger.

Our waitress asked once during out long meal how everything was but she walked so quickly and made no eye contact so none of us got a chance to respond. There were no refills on any of our drinks and no return visits from her before the bill came. I mentioned to her that the burger was terrible (as did one other person in our party who ordered it) as she collected our still full plates and she responded with "I'm sorry to hear that" and handed us the bill.

Hopefully this hasn't become the norm at this location but let it at least be a cautionary tale for other Korean fried chicken lovers.
