Whonnock Lake Park

Not a great place to spend time. It's a small park with a play are for kids which you will find in any local park. Very small lake shore and it's not that clean and great. Restroom are available and you could do BBQ here. No trails or biking area here.

I love this small lake all the facilities and amenities to spend a great time with your family!

Pet friendly, lots of restrooms, picnic tables and parking. Beautiful and peaceful place to rest and unwind. Playground area for young and not so young ones.

Nice wheelchair accessible path leading to the beach. Beautiful place I am glad there are no motors allowed on the lake.

Don't come here since we want to hog this lake for ourselves. Come around 9 though for good parking or be prepared to dodge trucks parked in dodgy places. Good sand, warm lake water, good breeze and shade from trees. WHAT ELSE COULD YOU EVER WANT? !

Busy. Murky water. Lots of fun. Bring your puddle board and friends. I wish they posted clear signs No smoking and No alcohol allowed. Could be very busy on hot summer weekends and there might be no parking available. However weekdays much better

Beautiful Park but no Dogs aloud. Not even on a leash. Took the dog there specifically to cool off for a swim. Don't go there if that's what you want.

Extremely beautiful and serene. Seems a little busy during the hotter days but there's lots of beautiful area to explore. Get here early especially with a canoe or kayak and explore the lake.

There's a small playground, and a nice wooded area to play in. A small roped off area to swim, although the water doesn't look the best to swim in. Lots of canoeing and kayaking on the lake.

Kid friendly area and usually busy! Hard to find parking unless you are lucky {As I was that day}

A nice place to swim and do kayaking. Kayaks and kanoe available for rental at around $25 to 35/hr. Lake is not too big thou and water was warm. Need to check E-coli warnings before swimming as lots of goose there. Not too busy on the Saturday we went. Parking was available, got a children's playground, lots of tables with chairs under trees, clean moveable pit toilets, etc.

This place is a nice hide away spot. Good for swimming, the water is warm. Great for kids and family also Picnics and Kayaking. Will definitely be back!

Quite pretty, and not too busy. I heard something about the water not being safe but everyone seemed to enjoy it still. Maybe just don't swallow the water, I don't know. I had fun

Decent little local swimming hole. Not the cleanest water, but enjoyable and warm. Great for kids especially due to the proximity to the city.

Great for an easy kayak on a calm lake and a swim in the warm waters afterwards. Get there early as it's a popular place with families.

Nice park for young kids. Plenty of areas to eat and play especially for kids 12 months to 4 years.

Wonderful lake, great atmosphere and family friendly location for bbq and fishing. Bring your paddle boat or kayak, but dress warmly as it gets windy and somewhat cold

It has a Sandy beach the swimming area is OK outside the swimming area is nothing but Lily pads

Small, isolated park with not too many people, lots of tables for your picnic/barbecue and a breathtaking nature view with a beach and an amazing lake! Yep, just perfect!

I always love going here. Kids can swim, and play at the playground, parents chat, walk, swim, barbeque, etc. Perfect for families, and not only.

Was little foggy today and swampy but beautiful scenery, nice walking paths. Can't wait to visit in summer.

Nice little lake for paddling and fishing. Pretty nice new playground for young kids. Great covered pagoda for picnics or staying out of the sun.
