We recently stayed here for 4 nights for our wedding weekend. The most magical place of all time. Absolutely spectacular service. The best service of any hotel I’ve ever stayed. All the staff was incredible. Our room had the most beautiful view of the beach, so quiet and peaceful. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding weekend. Thank you to the Wick and all of their amazing staff. Ali Cukier, in particular, was so helpful and such a pleasure to work with. Can’t recommend this place enough!

What can I say - probably the most precise place I have ever stayed. The staff are impeccable and well educated on service and manners. And I haven't ever gotten to the location - so beautiful.

Did not stay here but went here for some food and drinks. The atmosphere is second to none in Tofino and the service, drinks and food were top notch. Yes it is expensive, but treat yourself for at least a dinner and drinks when you are in Tofino.

Firstly, we didn’t stay at the resort but I’ve heard nothing but amazing things. We were in Tofino for a few days though and thought we’d go to the bar overlooking the beautiful west coast for a few drinks and some food. Unfortunately we were turned around at the gatehouse and informed that only guests of the resort are allowed to enter the restaurant or bar. Unfortunate and disappointing? Yes. But more frustrating is that their website says nothing about these restrictions. So locals and travellers be warned, if you’re not a guest you’re not welcome

My wife and I had our honeymoon here. Staff went above and beyond to to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Room was beautiful and we had a great time there. Would recommend to anyone visiting Tofino for a special occasion.

Disappointed to hear of discrimination based on vaccine status even after the vaccine mandates had been lifted throughout the province

We stayed there to celebrate my birthday. We took the chef's culinary package and stayed in one of their best rooms as per their suggestions. Everything was going well. We were having birthday dinner with chef's menu and wine pairing. I got a call from my daughter who is in Australia to wish me happy birthday. Within a second a staff Jaimee rushed to me and asked me rudely to remove myself and go to the lobby. I wasn't even loud. We left the dinner table, paid for the whole course with a generous tip to the server. We are used to celebrating our special occasions in top rated restaurants including Michelin star restaurants all over the world and never received this kind of behavior. Later the manager in duty Duncun apologized and he was very nice. But the staff who ruined my birthday refused to apologize and that's all we requested for. The management didn't take any responsibilities and just send an email.

One word…magical.

First time at the W Inn and Tofino and we can’t put into words how breathtaking the views were and the establishment as a whole.

If you’re looking for a relaxing high end getaway with a unforgettable view and unique quality food and service…this is the spot. Most notably want to call out and thank the staff. As guests we felt we were taken with the uttermost care by ALL staff at the Inn from all departments and many moments felt like we were the only guests at the Inn.

We will very cherish our time at the W Inn and can’t wait to visit again.

We have been trying to have breakfast here for years and every time it is a response of 'breakfast is for guests only' at (7am in the morning?). And for the fourth time in as many years we end up back at the Long Beach resort. One would hope that restaurants would want new customers?

Update: Marketing/customer relations replied saying they are short staffed and use the pandemic to say they have to prioritize guests. We dont seem to have problems with 'a table for two' at Long Beach or Black Rock resorts who have the same issues. Im sure the resort is great as other reviews say but I guess well never find out because we cant even get past the gate for a 30 minute breakfast. Dissapointed, but its ok as there are lots of other resorts in the area to choose from.

Awesome views, outstanding attention of the staff they make you feel like you never want to leave

The most amazing hotel we have ever been to
Everything in the hotel touches perfection.
Located on an amazing beach next to a rainforest
Excellent service and a chef restaurant not to be missed
It is highly recommended to pay attention to the weather before you arrive because most of the year is cloudy.

Probably the best hotel I've ever spent my nights/time in—worth booking when going to Tofino.

The rooms are spacious, super clean, and right away, create a homey feeling. The beds are very comfy, and a fireplace (gas-powered) is installed in the room. Service comes to your room twice a day to clean and leaves little amenities in the evening.

There is a bar and restaurant attached to the hotel, named The Pointe. Its bar is super worth visiting. The entire interior creates cosy vibes for spending a night with friends or family. The bar staff is very well-trained and friendly and always happy to help with your choice of cocktails or anything else you want to know about Tofino or the hotel.

The breakfast is a la carte and served in the stunning pavilion of the The Pointe restaurant. The view you get during the breakfast over the pacific ocean is properly one of the most beautiful views you can get during breakfast.

If you fancy outdoor activities such as surfing, just approach the front desk to ask for the surf board rental service. They collaborate with a local store that brings and picks up surfboards and wetsuits.

And if you are lucky, you can capture a little bear nearby the beach ;)

Dream honeymoon, amazing destination. From the very first contact, a charming ambassador at the gate (Daphne) to the staff at the front door, the wait staff (notably Emma and Holly for two of our dinners), the spa concierge and couples massage staff (Nicole and Christina) and ALL other staff (apologies for any misspelled names) … it felt like everyone was delighted to making our stay the most memorable ever. The rooms are amazing and the cleaning staff fabulous. The attention to detail, quality of food, warmth and friendliness of every single staff member that we encountered all combined to make our stay the absolute best. Two big thumbs up for management too, this level of customer care does not happen by accident. Looking forward to our next visit already!

Outstanding Location, point room views are amazing, walk the beach, cocktails looking out over the point …the best

What really made our stay a 5 rating (aside from the location and setting) was the obvious care, attention and desire of the staff to make our stay the best possible. It was clear to us that every member of the staff had the green light to make decisions to make things right from the guests perspective, little things like comp a glass of o J because they forgot to bring it, or adjusting a menu item to suit and again taking an item off the bill simply because it wasn’t the taste expected, we left feeling like we had experienced something special… congrats to the management for empowering their employees in such a manner!

Tranquility, beauty and superior service. I’ve referred to this place as a relationship rejuvenator more than once. Plus they do a great job of keeping the nuts out.

Just stayed for 3 nights here with my wife and can’t rave enough about this place. The setting was gorgeous, the staff fantastic, and our room was a paradise. There are too many small details to list here about the property and the staff but it was arguably the most relaxed, serene stay I have had anywhere in years. Will certainly return.

While the service and food was good, the server mistakenly brought a bottle to the table that was four times the price of the one we had ordered. We drank it as we assumed it was the bottle we ordered. We were shocked when the bill came. We contacted the management and were made to feel like we did something wrong. Really poor experience. Please review your bills carefully.

Excellent staff, well maintained property, Everything at the resort is done right. My only complaint was the Point Restaurant. Tables were packed making it not the intimate setting that I was hoping. The food wasn't up my expectations also. Too much focus on presentation of the plating, forgetting substance and flavor. I left dinner wanting.
28 September 2022 18:36
Rip offs they charge u in advance the attitude of the staff is awful and the manager as well I have stayed at many resorts never dealt with this please do not go here. If u want to be overcharged then go here.

Why any business continue to implement a jab mandate is beyond me. Jab mandates proved completely useless at stopping the virus, but they have destroyed social cohesion. Shame on Wickaninnish inn, I will never stay here again.
17 August 2022 4:20
We were thinking of staying here but we saw they continue to discriminate against people and their private vaccine choices. We will never move past the pandemic with businesses discrimintating this way. Completely innapropriate and distasteful. We will never spend a dime here and you shouldn’t either.

Chatted with Krista about possible plans for future elopement ceremony on the beach! She was an absolute delight and answered all my questions and had some wonderful suggestions too;)
Excited to talk with her again!

Absolutely disgusting that they’re asking for peoples private medical information and refusing entry due to personal health choices.
“The Supreme Court of Canada has stated that the purpose of section 15 is to protect those groups who suffer social, political and legal disadvantage in society. Discrimination occurs when a person, because of a personal characteristic, suffers disadvantages or is denied opportunities available to other members of society. ”

They are only requiring vaccine passport but not booster! Current two shots don't do anything because most of people got it months or a year ago. Update your policy immediately to require booster shot (s) that is provided within a few months! It's so dangerous there. I couldn't stay there.

Per your response: I asked to update policy to require recent booster (s). I understand your policy but the policy is quite outdated. I see you even don't read my review. I am deeply disappointed.

Husband and I go to Tofino absolutely every summer. We are hosting a Ukranian person and were hoping to hear to Tofino for a week for sight seeing. We have stayed at the Wickaninnish Inn three times in the past, including on our mini honeymoon. So crazy to see that they are still following vaccine mandates, even though they have been lifted long ago. Myself, my husband and our Ukranian visitor are all unvaccinated. Seems kind of crazy to turn down customers that's are spending A LOT of money.especially considering that if the staff are all vaccinated, they should be protected? ! Anyways, really sad to see we won't be able to return to this amazing place where we had our honeymoon memories.

Discriminating practices against unvaccinated. We all can spread equally. Dont support this dispicable policy. Stay sonewhere that values all human life equally. The response below is damage control. I got covid recently from a family member. Due to a medical issue im unable to be vaccinated currently. I ended up getting covid this past month from vaccinated members of my family (i am the only one in my household not vaccinated). If you look at the hospitalization statistics on health canada you will notice there are more people in hospital with covid than there are non vaccinated. The statement below by this company is false and has no scientific merit to stand on. You discriminate based on a vaccine that doesnt work. Shame on you. Id rather stay in my car.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Wickaninnish for 4 glorious days and 5 peaceful nights and the experience from start to finish was nothing short of perfection. It started out with calling a few times to discuss availability with their reservations team. I spoke on the phone to a few different ladies who were all very pleasant, one named Jean went over the different room options and hotel facilities with me. I had to think it over and weight the options with my partner. When I did decide what room I was interest in, I called back and had the pleasure of speaking with a woman named Krista. She was very informative and alerted me to some highway construction along the way to Tofino. I phoned back a few days later to make a dinner reservation and had a delightful conversation with a very charming girl, Jamie. She then got me in touch with the Spa where Elizabeth booked myself and my partner in for a massage. I emailed back and forth with Antoine the concierge, and eventually called and spoke with Jen. She booked me for a bear watch, kayaking trip, and a dinner at Schooner (delicious by the way!). All of the staff I encountered on the phone were so polite and professional, I was so excited to meet everyone in person and relax!
The day finally came for us to check in, and we were met on the drive way but a woman whose name I did not catch, who checked our vaccine passports (thank you! We felt so safe at your establishment, and completely respect the choice you've made to try to keep your community and employees safe), and were met at the doors by a charming fellow named Ron who helped us with our bags. We were shown to our room by a wonderful man named from Brazil. He pointed out the TV, let us know that there was a small bottle of port for us as well as a few other room features. The view was breathtaking, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and we made very good use of the luxurious bathtub. We were still on Atlantic time and found ourselves awake and in need of coffee very early in the morning. The nespresso machine was wonderful, but it was too early for that! We wandered down to the lobby and were delighted to find a pot of freshly brewed coffee, and a chatty fellow by the name of Jon who let us know that the weather was maybe going to be a bit better in a few days but would likely be raining more often than not.
We headed for brunch when we had our wits about us and were overjoyed to meet the lovely Jamie herself in person! Our server was a very sweet young man named Dylan who recommended the salmon rosti, and my goodness, it was impeccable. A cheery gent named Koi made us the most delicious mochas we'd ever had. I knew if brunch was this good, dinner would be spectacular. I was not wrong. I don't remember exactly what we had, aside from the tasting menu, all I know is that it was divine. Our server Emma was incredible. She was so sweet, very knowledgeable, didn't make us feel out of place for being slightly confused about what we were eating. Compliments to the chefs and all the kitchen staff who made the meal so delicious. We tried the cafe several times during our stay and were amazed every time. The pastries are delicious. To all the cafe servers Rose, Madeline, Jess, James, thank you for being the highlight of our mornings. A sweet young man named Daniel helped us get bikes for an afternoon as well, and Caitlin told us about the art in the little gallery.
The massages were outstanding. Jodie and Melissa, you outdid yourselves!
When the time came to check out, Fowad and Francis helped with bags and to settle our bill, and sent us on the way with apples.
Thank you to everyone we met and whose names we didn't have room to mention. We truly cannot wait to come back.

This is an outstanding hotel.

First of all, the views are incomparable! Stunning!

Second, the staff is exceptional. Every single staff member we met was friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

Third, the rooms are excellent. Not so much the decor, which is fine (not exceptional). But the details and thought behind the room is second-to-none. Besides the usual robes and slippers that you'd expect in a five-star hotel, they put thought into the amenities. They include rain coats and pants, plus binoculars, for anyone taking a whale-watching tour. They include books of birds and sight-seeing in the room. Double sinks and great counter space. Free snacks in the room (well, not free given the price of the hotel.but you know what I mean). Reusable water bottles to use while on vacation (and filtered sparkling and still water available in the lobby).

We also appreciate their focus on sustainability, from the menu items in the restaurant (organic), to water bottles in the room, to bath products, recycling, and a range of other things.

Don't book at this hotel! They discriminate and won't take you unless you are 100% vax against the so called covid vaccine that causes blood clots and heart attacks.what sick hotel would allow this. This one! Stay clear!

A favorite place for stay. Been going for years, always been great and memorable. Nice friendly staff providing excellent service. Has a variety of rooms with decent sizes, have stayed in standard rooms and suites, all have been nice and comfortable.
Great location, next the beach, many paths to take walks, amazing views and the sounds of waves from the rooms what brings us back. Good food too, enjoyed breakfast with views, and summer has dinning on the beach. Also just 3min drive up to surf shop area, where there are other places to eat like Tacofino and Wildside grill.
