Wild Whales Vancouver

A must if you are visiting Vancouver, they really know about whales and what they are doing and are well prepared. We had the fortune to see around 10 orcas and 2 humpback whales. T

A truly memorable and joyful day, made especially memorable by the vibrant and humane presence of Ashley. She was a wonderful guide and teacher. Great to see crew members as excited by the sea life as the passengers! A fantastic, value-for-money adventure. Thank you so much!

The captains and guides are so knowledgeable, they know each whale and orca by name, and they are all part of their big ocean family. In the middle of October, we were able to see 2 humpback whales and 7 orcas, as well as seals, sea lions, and a bald eagle. Highly recommend!

This whale watching trip was everything I dreamed of and more. Ashley, Draco and Rodrigo were knowledgeable, funny and super friendly. We spent roughly a little over 4 hours out on the water and saw humpback whales and orcas. The whole trip was such an incredible experience. Their passion and care for the whales and the environment shine through. You can tell they really do care about making sure everyone is safe, including the whales. They also donate a portion of the fees to conservation efforts, which is amazing.

Great experience. Saw 8-9 humpback whales and many seals! Zodiac boat had shock absorbing seats which was very awesome. No orcas unfortunately but out of the companies control. Friendly staff. Would've liked more facts about the whales, their environment, interactions and how they fit into the ecosystem instead of so much time spent identifying their nicknames

My friend and I had an absolutely INCREDIBLE time whale watching with Wild Whales Vancouver! We got to see seven whales: 3 orcas, and 4 humpbacks! This was without a doubt one of the best experiences of my life and I highly recommend it! Our tour guide was also amazing and taught us so much about the whales and their lifestyle. We took the open air vessel which was great because it had a washroom and also allowed us to move around the boat to see the whales better:) THANK YOU Wild Whales Vancouver for this experience! Excellent tour and great value, Captain Ashley and our guide from Wales, England (cannot remember name) were so knowledgeable and enthusiastic! They were committed to ensuring our excursion was not only fun, but educational. They took extra time and care to locate whales and other wildlife, and we learned so much and got to share hours of time with the pod! Two thumbs up, would definitely do this again and recommend this tour to locals and travellers alike! Go Jack!

Had such an amazing experience with Wild Whales! Our guide Ashley and captain Laura were experts in their field, I asked so many questions which were happily answered, I learned so much as well as seeing EIGHT different humpback whales! An experience of a lifetime. The boat was comfortable with shock absorption seats so you can weather the seas in different conditions and take off fast in search of marine wildlife! I have done whale watching before in a similar boat and got absolutely soaked and was freezing. While there were some unavoidable splashes on this trip it was fun and worthwhile. Would recommend Wild Whales to anyone and is a must-do when visiting Vancouver!

MUST SEE! I spent a week in Vancouver, and this tour was the highlight of my trip! Our guides, Britt and Corby, were incredible; both were very knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about whales. We spent about four hours on the water, and in that time we saw a pod of four orcas feasting on a meal, and then we spotted two humpback whales. We stayed with each group for about an hour each time to watch their behaviour and capture pictures. I learned so much about the whales, and I was mesmerized by their beauty. I highly recommend this tour; when in Vancouver, go see the whales!

I took the zodiac last week with Wild Whales. The hostess was extremely pleasurable with her enthusiasm. The seating was great with shock absorbers. I was sitting in the front with 90 knots and enjoyed this lots. We were extremely lucky to find 4 orcas and 3 humpback whales on our journey which lasted a bit over 5 hours, which was longer than usual as we stumbled unexpectedly on the humpback whales! They are very respectful to the animals, so we kept a safe distance.

Just be careful that when you go, you might prepare to have a trip not seeing whales fully come out and close by. I know the rule to not get close but just saying that you may not lucky to have a fully chance to see them coming out, then you think about the expensive money you pay, you may feel painful and not worth….

Didn't realize that we would be travelling well over an hour south to see the whales, assumed there were closer to Vancouver. Would have liked to know that ahead of time.

The use of the wet suit was redundant as no one got wet and with 31 degree weather it was very uncomfortable. Other tours that we saw simply had life jackets on or nothing. I'm for safety but the heat was unbearable.

We went on a whale watching tour on October 17th, on the open air vessel with Hilary as our naturalist and we had the captain of all captains.

Hilary was really knowledgeable and kind in every interaction, from checking in to getting us suited up and sharing all of her knowledge about humpbacks (her favorite) and the orcas (my favorite). We saw 2 humpbacks and 4 orcas along with some seals and sea lions.

Was definitely worth the money we paid and I honestly can’t wait to bring more people back to Wild Whales for the best experience possible.

Absolutely amazing experience! Loved the Zodiac boat, our guide Ollie was so knowledgeable. Lucky enough to see a humpback whale and even saw an orca hunting and catching a seal - absolutely unreal! Wish I could do this tour everyday

We didn't see any whales.not their fault, but our guide was not good, so Iwould give that 3 stars. We did get vouchers which my mother and father and law used before our to was over and they had an amazing experience, so I would have given 5 stars. 4 splits the difference! I would have rated our two higher even without seeing any whales of our guide had given any effort to make our trip entertaining. She didn't speak much and when she did, you couldn't hear her. On the second trip, the guide apparently offered a wealth of knowledge and very engaging.

Definitely a highlight, naturalist was very knowledgeable and super passionate. She taught us a lot while keeping it light and fun, and introduced us to each individual whale:) would definitely recommend.

Wild Whales is a great tour company to book with! They are very thorough, knowledgeable, and the vessel was really comfy. Highly recommend using this group. We saw bald eagles, orcas, and seals; plus the breathtaking shorelines.

While 200 people were making the line at the South Point Buffet, Las Vegas, we were enjoying the sea food at the "Big Sur Oyster Bar" restaurant. That was pretty damn good. " I highly recomend the "Bouillabaisse", and the Pan Seared Halibut. I will come back for sure.

Had an amazing time on the zodiac. We saw orcas, porposes, humpback, and sea lions. The boat was pretty fast and I appreciated the cushioned seats.
Guides were super knowledgeable and we spent about 4 hours out on the water.
We would definitely go out again!

Guaranteed whale sighting or you get a free pass to come back. We saw a family of 5 including a baby jumping, as well as a pile of seals. It was great tbh.

Amazing! The staff really care to protect the animals and environment. Views are incredible. They provide suits to keep you warm. Worth it!

Wild Whales Vancouver gave us an awesome experience! We chose to go for the zodiac and ended up seeing the humpback and orca whales. The trip lasted for close to 5 hours and they provided plastic bags and suitable suits for the trip that also act as a life jacket. Our guide also provided information about the whales and was very helpful throughout the trip. Highly recommended!

Make sure to dress well because it will get cold in the ocean. I’d also suggest using good shoes especially if it rains. Hope you enjoy your trip like we did!

The trip was great! It took us about 4.5 hours. We saw humpback whales, seals, eagles and even orcas. Such an amazing experience.

I know whale watching can’t really be predicted but we only saw one whale for like a few seconds and from afar… I’m not even sure everyone on the boat saw her, and I know it’s ecotourism so I wouldn’t dare ask for a refund, but the price was quite high to just see the water and a few seals… also I think the organisation could be improved, since the place was crowed when we had to get ready to see the whales, and it was difficult to get informations on how to put the suit on, where to put our personal items, and to know whether or not we were going to be splashed or not on the boat (which is important if you have a camera) and also on the boat itself, we couldn’t hear a word of what the guide was saying because she was on the back and we were on the front, so maybe a third or half the people heard her but not everyone… anyway I’m really disappointed, but maybe it was just an unlucky day which explain why we couldn’t really see the whales? If it were the case, I would have liked them to have been honest in the first place, seeing as they really oversold the thing in the first place, telling us we were going to see orcas and 2 other sorts of whales, and so many animals that we wouldn’t be able to stop for all of them… we mostly just rode on the boat seeing only the water on both sides…

Very fun experience. Big kudos to Pascal for speedily helping a member of our group who had accidentally fallen off the dock!

We had a great time, the staff were very kind informative and made sure we had a great experience. I like how they work in teams to secure viewings to the guests. We saw hunchback whales, porpoises, sea lions and orcas.

Trip got cancelled twice. First time went out at sea then came back, second time got cancelled before 2 hours. Also, other services are much better as they have better boats and provide hd photos

Such a cool experience! The orcas came up really close to our boat. Our marine naturalist Maria was extremely approachable, friendly, and knowledgeable, I learned so much. Thank you for such an amazing time!

Then we were able to watch a humpback and her calf swim and feed!
