Willingdon Care Centre

This is an older facility. Realistic expectations are reasonable. What absolutely surprised me was the stuff and how well managed this facility is. Your loved one will be very well cared for in this facility. Even if they have to share the accommodations the care aids are super on top of their duties. The environment is positive and stuff is always smiling and ready to help and support.
This shows that WCC has very good leadership. Thank you. After really bad experience in an institutionalized care for my mom, I finally feel mom is getting the care she deserves.

Although the care home building is a bit old but I really appreciate all the staffs there. I am glad that my mom got good caring! Thank you!

My mother was the first to succumb from Covid here. She chose to come to WCC 3 years ago herself because of the care that had been provided to her husband while he was there. I have nothing but good things to say for the staff and the loving care that she received here throughout her stay and at the end. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

We have not seen my aunt Nancy in 14 months. She is age 93 and she is locked down with no visitors allowed.
I was told by Rachel Miranda that I could have one Zoom visit as they have 90 patients.
I responded that my aunt is my late mother's only living sibling. I was not happy about these restrictions and I told Rachel about the abuse these restrictions on causing on the elderly.
I got a response from Lance Bennewith, the administrator.
Lance said there were no openings for video visits and that my aggressive attitude would not be tolerated!
Lance just proved my point about elderly abuse in the care homes!
My aunt and I are very close and this separation is only going to hurt her health more.
Now, I have to kiss Lance's backside if I ever want to speak to my aunt again.
This is the type of people who are in charge of housing the elderly!
I see why there are so many complaints about this care home.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND placing any loved ones in this facility. They don't care about the elderly residents or their family.

I will also be placing my emails on all the social media sites and I will be contacting the appropriate provincial government ministry.
