Winona Park

Great park built perfectly into the sloped landscape. It consists of 3 field-size plateaus that roll steeply down to the next (solid beginner sled hills for young ones when we get snow). A line of large, old trees divide the park into it's 3 respective fields, and the whole park is bordered by healthy cherry blossom trees that produce crazy amounts of flowers every year (late March/early April). Finally, there are only 6 or 7 benches around the whole park, but they're usually available.

The fields are used daily throughout the spring, summer, and early fall for various team sports.

This Mega Park has been spread into 300 Meter Square Feet’s that’s consist of Field Houses, Football Fields, Playgrounds, Rugby Fields, Softball, , Ultimate Fields, Washrooms. There is a brand new playgrounds for children along with old one. The city of Vancouver has recently installed a brand new fountain water and a chilling standing soft shower. So many different teams come to play here. Lots of families come for sports and barbecue.

Lovely park! Just stay away from the obese korean people. Them and their foul looking children are scary to look at

Lots of open space, spots with places to sit, shady areas. There is a playground and a washroom. Depending on what time of day you go there can also be plenty of doggies running and playing in the field.

Spacious park with outer perimeter that you can walk. Total of 1km. Nice playground and very clean bathroom that’s cleaned daily and opens at 7AM. Ample street parking. You can see hoards of geese in the early AM on the soccer park.

Great park to relax during a sunny day and enjoy the shade of a nice tree. I take my dogs there and locals are usually very friendly.

Newer playground with the rubbery floor. Could be bigger for the size of the park and the number of homes around the neighbourhood. Free street parking. Public washrooms available. There were people having picnics, parties and playing grass volleyball. Nice park for the kids!

Beautiful park with three perfectly level sports fields. Bathroom, Playground, benches, tables, lots of trees and different corners with places to sit and enjoy the vibe. Really well-designed greenspace. Great for frisbee. Loved it.

New small playground with slides, swing, small trampoline. Good for toddler and young kids. There is ample street parking, washroom, 2 small picnic tables near the playground, benches, big fields.
I just wish that the playground is bigger since it is busy and many residents in the area. The land is big so it will be better to expand the playground so the kids are not crowded.

They updated the playground which is nice, but a little small for the growing population of you families there. Wish they had built a larger playground. Small trampoline is fun though. Mainly the large fields are there for people playing ultimate and some touch football

Great for a short run on a sled in the snow for kids). Massive trees border each field to take shade under, and the whole park is bordered by large, healthy cherry blossom trees that produce crazy amounts of flowers every year (usually beginning at the end of March).

There's a new playground with engineered, recycled soft ground mats, swings, a slide, and all the new neat equipment I never saw on playgrounds when I was young. There are men's and women's public bathrooms that are open around dawn and close at 10 pm. Finally, there are only 6 or 7 benches around the whole park, but they're usually available so it must be enough.

Teams often use the park for ultimate frisbee

The park itself it's empty (even from trees), but during weekends people organize picnics, volleyball, rugby and Frisbee matches

Brand spanking new modern playground (available toddler swing). Has three large fields that are often reserved by ultimate Frisbee and rugby leagues: not always a calm and quiet park.

Winona Park is great open space! I have gone here just to have a nice picnic with my partner. She however, will go here more for a field workout by herself or with friends and it is great for that too! I recently was in the area because I was filming for a project. I would not consider this park in particular to be a good parkour spot, but there are some things within the neighborhood that are worth checking out! Go have a wander and let me know what you find!
