She gave us an assignment to develop and practice answers to common interview questions which helped me land a second interview with a prospective employer. I'd like thank you all of the great team of Work BC, specially Santosh and Nahed. Those who helped me to start my career in Canada as a new comer. Throughout my job search, I learned that the process should not be taken personally, but rather requires patience and self-confidence in one's own abilities. With perseverance and determination, success is simply a matter of time.

This is the most Awesome, place to get help. Manager Christine and her team; Buwan, Joe and others (I did not get their names) were so helpful. They are with you all the time to assist. Making sure its done right and always there to ask if everything OK. I have never seen such a supportive group of people; The really want you to get a job. I felt so assured.

Not interested in your success

Tried working with the case manager Subrath for over a year.

Offer certain "supports" but good luck having them be accountable for anything they involve you in. Informed them I was an individual with disabilities, they then told me that they were going to enroll me for certain psych assessments. When those fell through they never followed up.

Offer you a program but when you need help financing to graduation that works around the program, the phonecall you to tell you "tough luck".

Subrath Shrestha even gave me a trash resumé to do my job search, so you can't even really trust them for that.

It was really good experince with Work BC metrotown. Earlier I was contacted with Giggs who is case manager and he helped me a lot many ways in regards to find jobs and provifing all types of resources and assistance. I would highly recommend to contact him if you are looking for work or don't know in which area you proceed your carrier. He will show you the way as I am sure. Thanks for everything Giggs. Keep doing good work for locals.

A big thank you to Work BC Metrotown and particularly Giggs Subsermsri for all the assistance and empowerment I got. You were super helpful in landing me into the career that I am in now. The employment consultant is really nice, helpful and supportive. The team is very professional and organized. The training work shops are very helpful. A great place to get help, advise, support and learning!

I had a great experience with WorkBC Metrotown. They provided me support to print resumes and have awesome workshops about cover letter, job interviews and resumes. My Employment Consultant, Giggs Subsermsri, helped me a lot, sending me job postings, reviewing cover letters and resumes and preparing me for the interview that ended up with the job being offered to me.

WorkBC is one of the best resources and one of the best government services available if you are making a change in your career, or if you are a new comer. Staff here at the Metrotown centre are great! They are very resourceful and they really care about you. They helped me get through my career transition, as well as the hardship due to the pandemic. I'm very grateful, and I will definitely recommend them to people I know that have similar struggles.
