I was filled with disappointment when I realized that I couldn't secure a job in my chosen field, despite investing a decade of my life in gaining the necessary qualifications. This setback was primarily due to the lack of a Canadian diploma or university degree. It was a difficult phase in my life, as I found myself compelled to leave not only my homeland but also everything I had painstakingly built over the years. I felt like I had lost my purpose and was on the verge of losing hope, which is the driving force of life itself.

In my quest for a solution, I decided to pursue studies at a school for at least a year to obtain a Canadian diploma. However, I had no idea how to navigate this path, and it seemed impossible without your support. It is through your assistance that I have regained hope and am now filled with a renewed sense of purpose and determination to work diligently toward a better life here in Canada. I am eager to repay the Canadian Society for the support I have received.

I will say a big thank for all the people working in workBC center Port coquitlam! They are very professional, helpful and friendly people offering ongoing support for the job hunting people like me.
They provide very detailed training program: resume writing, interview skills, social network and more. Case managers are very responsible for the client, they can provide some kind of services which our unemployed people really need, such as, helping to get safety gears for work. For me, I need to have steel toe shoes, safety reflective clothes and helmet for working in the construction site before I get my pay from work, they help me to get them, I am really appreciative for what I get from them to support me for work.
And they also provide continuing care and support for every employed clients.
I will say thank you all from my bottom of my heart for all the people working in the center. If you are unemployed, want to find a job, WorkBC is you home to rely on.

I have received so much help from Work BC tri-cities after I have been laid off from my previous job. Not only they are expert with helping you with your career, but they also give you courage to get back on track with your own feet. They are so resourceful, they listen to your words with their heart.
I have succesfully secured a job within 4 months with their help. From resume to your mock interview, even training if you need, they are always there.

I went through work bc, Samah Ibrahim, She was very supportive and helpful I highly recommend the help from Work bc. Samah put me in courses to help improve my skills, She also enrolled me in a encore 55 with douglas college and they also were very helpful and highly recommend them also.

The staff was amazing and supportive.very knowledgeable in the process of finding a job, resumes, interviews, job searching and training certificates.the 3 case with workers at the poco office I had.hiwot was truly amazing and supportive, Natalie writes the best resumes and cover letter not to mention very supportive, Susan was knowledgeable in the begging of my job search.all three I own a big thx to for all your hard work and support. I contacted WorkBC to help my mother find a job when she finished her program but i'm really disappointed with the service. As English is her second language and her first time trying to find work in a new field she really needed help finding a job but WorkBC didn't not help her. She was told to apply and look for jobs on her own but that is was she needed help with the most. She was helped a new resume and interview work shops but that was about it. I will mention that her resume that was created wasn't even what she got her diploma in. Im very disappointed because of all good reviews this location seems to have but she didn't get much help with her job hunting.

Keeping it simple, everyone was great. No judgment, no condescension, no apathy - just good people helping other people. Thank You WorkBC Port Coquitlam

Not only do they offer resources to look for jobs and prepare your documents, but their staff can really help you stay upbeat during what could be a months-long struggle to find employment. I cannot emphasize enough how helpful it was to have positive reinforcement during this stressful period of my life. Thankfully, I am now gainfully employed.
