I love this place. Everyone is fantastic. Lisa is the person I see and so full of great information about haircare. She always goes above and beyond to earn your trust, and thats hard to find. I have horrible hair but every time, I leave feeling great. My hair is tame and bright. Feels healthier then when I walked in. Any time seeing a hairdresser it's pricey but this place is well worth it.

Highly recommend! I have my hair coloured and cut by Victoria who is not only exceptionally skilled, but also a delight to be around. I’m always very happy with my hair after leaving Workshop Salon.

Overall, good service & warm vibes! Needed a trim while I was visiting Vancouver. Mickey was so patient and listened to me the entire process. He made sure the layers framed my face correctly and that I was satisfied with my cut. I would highly recommend you book with him!

Can’t recommend Workshop enough! I’ve been seeing Franco now for over 10 years and he is literally the only person I have ever trusted with my curly hair! Not only is he kind, caring, and a great listener, but he truly knows what he’s doing with curls. When I first started seeing him my hair was super damaged from years of straightening, not using the right products for my hair type, and not getting regular cuts. Before I found Franco, I always hated going to the salon because every hair dresser I met was intimidated by my hair, wouldn’t listen to what I wanted, and always made me leave in tears. Now I actually look forward to getting my hair cut, and always leave the salon feeling my best! Workshop is beautiful, clean and easy to transit to. All the staff there are also super nice and it’s such a comfortable and welcoming environment. Do not hesitate to book with Franco or any of the other lovely staff at Workshop! I will never go anywhere else for my hair:)

I’ve waited to give a review to give myself time to really assess my hair cut. My hair is thick, with some curl underneath, less curl on outer layer. I had a grown out shag cut and, sadly, was ready to just cut it short to a Bob as it wasn’t working well anymore and I thought that was my only option. Enter: Ruby. She gave me a consult. She took time to evaluate my hair, listened to what thought I wanted, gave me her opinion and thoughts based on the information I gave about myself and her assessment of my hair and face shape. Result: We decided to keep the long layered shag and she shaped it and cut into the top layer to bring out the curl in the outer layer. I now wear my hair down more often than tying it up because it looks and feels great, requires little to no styling time, is modern and pretty and enhances my facial features. This is the first time in all my years of often disappointing hair cuts that I can truly say I am very pleased with my hair. Granted, this was not a shag cut from scratch, as I already had layers from the previous cut, however, I will go back to Ruby when I need a more fulsome cut, as I’m feeling confident about her skill, and analytical precision with which she assesses the hair, sections and cuts. The salon was able to get me in super quickly with short notice - and I am so glad I came. Rupy gave me a consultation more in depth than all the stylist I’ve been to combined - she really listens to what your vision is and brings it to life better than you can imagine. Rupy took her time to make we both on the same page for my color and hair cut before and throughout my time. I really admired her honesty about what treatments would be best for my hair and her insight about why/how which treatments would be better. Aside her talent she has the most warming and welcoming energy making for great conversation and experience. I will definitely be back!

Mickey has done a miracle on my thick, black, super problematic Asian hair. I went pretty extreme and asked for a very light bleach all the way to the scalp. And he totally delivered a dream color with my hair healthy and soft. I’m definitely coming back.

Cannot say enough about how lucky I was to have Alyson as my stylist! I was initially very anxious about whether the bob cut and color tone I was going for would suit me, but Alyson was a game changer. She was willing to put in the effort to listen, communicate expectations and educate me on how to preserve my new color or how to maintain scalp health. She is also a perfectionist so she makes sure her customers walk out feeling understood and empowered. She did a fantastic job on both the bob cut and cool tone I wanted, I absolutely loved my new hair. I’ve already had friends making inquiries about my hair and wanting to get theirs done by the same stylist lol. All in all this was easily the best hair session I’ve ever had.

I had a great haircut with Franco. If you got curly hair, don’t look elsewhere. He is very knowledgeable and skilled. I had a great experience with him and at the salon.

I got my hair done from Mickey! He is a pro when it comes to fashion colours. I did my research before going to him, checked out his Instagram page and just by looking at the pictures I knew I will get what I want! I was confused between 2 colours, he helped me choose one and boy did he do a good job! I am in love with my hair, he was very calm and listened to what I wanted my hair to look like and delivered exactly the same. Gave me some great tips about how to retain the colour. 3 weeks in, the colour still looks great and I get compliments EVERYDAY?

Always a great experience with Victoria at Workshop Salon! I have been going to her for 4 years for cuts/colour/treatments and have always been super happy with the end result. Victoria is extremely detail oriented and always prioritizes the health of my hair (she also gives the most incredible head massage during shampoo/conditioning). I am extremely picky when it comes to my hair (have definitely cried many times) and I can confidently say that I have never cried after leaving Victoria's chair! Highly recommend!

I came to Mickey as a dirty blonde and left as an icy blonde with a purple and pink underlay. It was my first time doing something so bold but Mickey was amazing <33 made me feel really comfortable and excited throughout the whole process. Although I showed up with reference pictures that were hard to follow because none of them were the same (lol sorry) the results came out better than I could have imagined. I am usually very picky when it comes to my hair, but I heard only good things about the Workshop Salon and so I booked an appointment with Mickey. Not only did they manage to give me a time slot the same day I called, I was all informations beforehand and Mickey took all the time I needed to give me the best results. That being said, I have never been this happy with my hair, ever. He perfectly applied what I asked him to do, although even I wasn't entirely sure what that was. Since then so many of my friends have commented on my new hair and how great it looks. Mickey is not only kind and professional, but extremely talented, an overall artist and his work is worth every second and penny. I will definitely fly in from Italy now to get my hair done by him. Thanks again, I am beyond happy.

Would defintely recommend going here! I had my hair recoloured to its original colour by Mickey and it was a really great experience. Mickey was so lovely and great at explaining the process of everything happening. Price was very reasonable for the treatment too!

Franco gave me an awesome haircut. I have curly hair and I had a bad previous haircut. Franco was extremely patient and friendly. He worked with me to give a better shape to my hair, and explained to me how to style it as well. I appreciate the fact that he has taken the effort to educate himself about curly hair. This reflects in his cutting technique (dry cuts), as well as styling. He styled my hair curly as I usually would, so that I could actually see how the haircut would look when I wash and style it myself. If you need a good curly haircut, I recommend Franco!

I've had my hair done by Mickey here ever since I moved to Vancouver a few years ago! I had my first ever bleach/colour with him and it was great. He took the time to consult and explain the process with me every step of the way. He really understands Asian hair and I feel fabulous every time I leave the salon. I've had blonde, purple, and pink done and the colour has been what I wanted and long-lasting each time.

Raina is hands down the best stylist I've ever been to. For the past 10 years she is the only one I trust to touch my hair and she has never failed to deliver. She's honest about what can be accomplished with my stubborn hair and recommends great products that really work for me. I love the salon she's working at as well, they have a clean and bright interior that made me feel safe with their stringent COVID-19 protocols.

In July 2020, after almost 10 years of relatively tame hair colours, I decided that I wanted something different during quarantine. After messaging Raina, she found some looks that would suit my dark hair while still being bright and fun! We went for blue and purple highlights blended throughout my hair that were noticeable but muted enough that even my fairly conservative workplace loved it! After 6 months it still looks awesome, thanks in no small part to Raina's artful blending and following her after-care instructions with the products she recommended.

If you're looking for a professional, honest, and highly skilled stylist that you can trust with your hair, go see Raina, you will not be disappointed! (Also, she gives a really nice scalp massage when she shampoos your hair, it's one of my favourite things ever, I could fall asleep every time.)

My stylist Anita is an amazing colourist and cutter! Every time I leave I get so many compliments on my colour and the overall health of my hair. Anita is super talented, but also very kind, listens to what I want to achieve with my colour and cutting. I always leave super happy with the results. The Worksop Salon has friendly and capable staff. I feel safe getting my hair done there during Covid, they keep all surfaces clean bin use, provide masks so you dont get any product on your personal mask during your appt.and there is lots of shields between stations and no-one is working too closely together, in fact the studio gives lots of space allowance with consideration to your health and their staff. Highly recommend, go see Anita you won't be disappointed!

Anita has magical hands that make my hair go from flat and stringy to voluminous and healthy! The only person that I trust fully with my hair and will never leave her! She took me to fully blonde without damaging my hair and back to my natural colour (brunette) without any hiccups or hesitation. I did not even have to tell her what I want she just knows. She’s born to do this and I recommend anyone to see Anita! Sit and relax as you are in good hands!

I've been going to Mickey at workshop salon for awhile and his cuts are amazing. I switch up my style often, long, short, whatever, and mickey nails it every time. His coloring is also perfect, never has he failed to get the right color for me. He's your best bet for hair in Vancouver! Plus I ruin my own hair with color and bleach and heat, but when i go in for a treatment with him, my hair comes out stronger then ever.

Went to Mickey who’s one of the stylists here with dyed dark brown hair and wanted to go light blonde. Obviously this is not an easy task but he was super helpful explaining the steps it was going to take to get me there and managed to make my hair lighter than I expected while still keeping its integrity so it didn’t feel super damaged. If we ever hit a hiccup in the process he still made sure I didn’t leave the salon looking or feeling like a mess so I was always happy with the progress. I’m sure we’ve all had a moment when we leave a hair appointment and feel disappointed with what our expectations were vs the reality of what we got, but he was always able to explain what to expect so this never happened. He and the rest of the staff are also super friendly and helpful so I always felt comfortable. I will definitely be recommending him to anyone I know looking for a stylist!

This is the place I get my haircuts. All very professional stylists. The owner Franco is super friendly and eveyone are just cool. I've had Very good experiences in this place. Greatvalue for money. But 4 stars because of some minor issues such as trying too hard to sell hair products or eyeing the screen when you are putting your tip amount in.

Alyson is the sweetheart who did my cut, and due to circumstances out of her control, we became pressed for time to finish up. She handled it completely professionally without making it feel rushed at all. She made sure I was comfortable and cared for all throughout even though she already had the gentlest hand, and she still got me the perfect end result. Can't wait to see her again for my colouring next!

Just had worst haircut.i liked this place so much which compelled me to visit even in my short business trip to vancouver this time.didn't realize that the service will detoriate like this.the stylist didn't know what he was doing and I had to direct from start to beginning. End of haircut is uneven hair cut. Waste of my money and time.

I saw Mickey and it was a great experience. He’s very careful and knowledgeable. I normally do not feel compelled to review but I have also gotten my hair coloured by another stylist and it was also five stars. This place hires great people who I would trust with my hair and I am a untrusting person when it comes to that. There colour line is great they don’t push products on you there shampoos and conditioners all smell good and I have very sensitive skin and have never had a reaction. I was even offered coffee teas and water. It’s inexpensive when it comes to other salons like sukis or aveda would definitely recommend:)
