I moved to Vancouver in 2022 and have been using YT medical ever since, and I wont go anywhere else. The reception staff are super friendly, polite, professional and understanding. I have ASD and get anxious in new surroundings, the staff make me feel welcome and remember my name every time I go. Dr Wang is the first, and only doctor I’ve visited, including in the UK, that takes time and has patience with me, and makes me feel comfortable. I have mental health issues that makes it difficult for me to communicate how I’m feeling, but I feel like I am being heard. Thank you Yale Town Medical!

Not sure why people are posting low reviews when they've never attended this clinic? That's like posting a bad review of a restaurant because it was just full/couldn't seat more people. The "rules" of this clinic seem straightforward to me - first come, first serve in the morning to be slotted into the daily schedule. When they run out of appointments, that's it. Is it as convenient as booking an appmt online from the comfort of my home? No. I don't prefer to line up in the morning either. But if you don't like the rules of this clinic, no one is forcing you to go to them. Once you get an appmt spot though, everything is pretty smooth and staff/docs are professional

No appointments by phone, online or in person. They recommended waiting when they open, which isn't compatible with working a job.

I came at 8: 30 and waited and been told dr will see me at 9: 40, and at 9: 40 the lady told me Dr not coming today. It’s not the first time.

Everyone seems to complain about this clinic but if you follow their protocol it’s actually really good. Show up early, get a spot, come back. It’s been working great for me. I rather this than have to sit in a clinic for hours and hours to see a doctor.

I agree with most of the positive reviews. I suspect that clients who are happy outnumber those that are not by a factor of 20. The reviews are most probably the less reasonable among us. They should try the emegency room at any big hospital. My rating is 4.5 for the clinic - the staff and doctors are very very professional.

This is not a walk in clinic. Don't waste your time. Don't believe the hours of operation. If you are trying to do a walk-in you have to show up 20 min before it's open just to be told to come back later in the day but yet if you show up any later than before it opens you are told to come back tomorrow. One time I came back later in the day as instructed by the front desk, and when I came back, they told me they filled up with appointments and to come back tomorrow. It took me 3 days to finally successfully see a doctor there. This is not a walk-in! I want to save you time. Also the front desk staff have terrible service and would never answer the phone. I haven't been there in a year I just remembered this as I'm looking for another clinic. I will never go back there!

Don’t trust their working hours in maps or on their doors. They never accept patients on the weekends. This is at least 3rd time I am trying to get there on Saturday.
The only chance to actually see a doctor is to come there 8-9 AM on a weekday, then they will schedule you for later in the day (usually around 11-12). Which is by the way very stupid - you have to come there so they can just make an appointment for you and then you need to come again. Why would a sick person go there twice if they just could save a trip my making an appointment over the phone or online like in other clinics.
And not everyone can come there at 8-9 AM weekday, some people have jobs! I wish they would allow people to make appointments over the phone!

I have been going to this clinic for several years now all the doctors and staff are super nice and friendly! Especially Doctor Riyat she’s very attentive to all my needs!

I’ve generally had good experience with the receptionists. I get they are busy and felt like they do their best to schedule you in.

I really like Doctor Sun Du (spelling?) who was made me feel like she genuinely cared and even followed up a few weeks later. She was great.

Had a really negative experience today with a male Indian doctor who was quite rude. I waited 45 minutes after my booked slot and he was not able to do what the receptionist booked me in for. General mis-communication between staff but also one of those doctors who couldn’t care less about people. I felt like I was a item ticked off his robotic list and would not recommend the experience to anyone.

Waited on hold for 5 minutes to hear I can't get in for 4 days. How is that a walk-in clinic?

Called this morning and they told me that they have spots next week. Called back this afternoon and now nothing is available for 3 weeks.

Just started to work with Dr. Sharma and impressed with his level of care, attention and eagerness to get to the bottom of patient's health issue. I found receptionists warm and welcoming as well. Unfortunately, it became so hard to find good caring people in health care in the last couple of years. Hope that the stream of negative reviews will dry up for this clinic, because they seem to deserve better. Thank you so much!

Is healthcare this bad everywhere in Canada? !
Soulless, ghoulish persons working at the front desk like you’re waiting to get into the ninth circle of Dante’s hell, that will not grant you a response, eye contact or anything really, or maybe I’m an invisible ghost (interesting concept), are only topped by reckless and worse than Google doctors. You’re better off with Google diagnosing you than the doctors that I had a pleasure to visit. Or even better yet, chat with ChatGPT - you will certainly fare better. Your other options are waiting for you’re health to degrade so much that you have to take a trip to the ER, or just… you know… move on.
