Yama Sushi

Yama Sushi in Lynn Valley is hands down the best Japanese restaurant in North Vancouver! We recently ordered catering for a church gathering of 40+ people, and the food was outstanding. The taste was exceptional, and the value for the price was incredible. The staff was friendly and accommodating as well. Highly recommended for any sushi lover!

Sunomono had a piece of cooked broccoli in it. Sashimi was not fresh and had little to no flavour.

Really unappetizing, I'm sorry to say. I had the gyoza box. Tea was luke warm, miso was good, tempura was OK, gyoza was greasy and unflavorfull, salad was not appealing. The Cali roll stood out as probably the worst roll I've ever had! I was surprised. I ate about 20% of my combo, server never checked in, so I just asked for a check saying "sorry, I didn't like this". They just brought over the machine with no bill and charged me without adressing anything. I wish I'd had an opportunity to maybe try something else or not pay nearly $17 for a few bites. I'll never go back. What a bummer. Cute looking little place! I was really hoping for something yummy. There were a few pick up orders but I was the only person in the place at 730.

The quality of the food is excellent. But, it’s a small place with not a convenient bathroom. Probably a great place for take outs.

Solid bento box. Was quick to arrive and staff were attentive. All that you want for a quick lunch.
