Yandoux Patisserie

I visited this cafe a few months ago after following their Instagram account for a while. I thought their cakes looked cool and was very excited to finally check it out!

The service was terrible, the lady serving inside was standoffish and rude, didn’t seem like she wanted us to be there. There were also no other customers there. I ordered a mocha, did not taste great, and got one of their cakes, which was visually cute. We tried to finish up as quickly as we could as we felt uncomfortable and very unwelcome there. I would not recommend going here if you’re trying to have an enjoyable experience.

I've come to the conclusion that Japanese pastry is tasteless. Technique is perfect but you don't taste anything. FYI, I'm not big on sugar, but pastry has to have a balance. This is just bland. Not recommended.

We came here to celebrate my birthday, and we had an amazing time. Our server was very sweet and attentive! I loved the aesthetic and how pretty the dishware was. This is genuinely one of the best high teas I’ve ever had - the food was phenomenal and the desserts weren’t too sweet for me. We loved the savory items (especially the sablefish and hummus). We highly recommend coming here for high tea!

The pastries are all mousse and very little cake. Not a fan of having a mouth full of cream and barely any sponge. Very overpriced for what is essentially aired whipping cream with some cute colors.

Delicious mix of sweet and savory treats! Lovely atmosphere with great service. I would say I definitely lean towards savory more than the sweets, but there are 5 of sweet items and 5 savory items

Went for my mom’s birthday and the tea set was great. Sometimes I don’t finish afternoon tea sets but I ended up finishing all of the items on the savoury option.

Absolutely delicious, the desserts here are so light and refreshing. Very aesthetically pleasing as well.

The cakes were so pretty and delicate. To our surprise, the taste was really good as well. Very light, and not too sweet. My husband hates cakes in general but he likes this one. We'll be back fore more!

I own a business in the area and come here to buy mini cakes for all my clients on their bday. Front staff are usually ok. The customer service isn’t amazing or anything but I come for the dessert and the convenience. I always request for a candle with my mini cake. No issue. I don’t mind paying for it as I usually do. Today I come in and ask for a candle with my purchase and the lady at the front tells me “we don’t give candles with our mini cakes” …? This is probably the 10th dessert I’ve purchased in the last 3 months and have never had an issue. I also had no issue paying for it either. She could’ve kindly told me there was a $2 charge rather than straight up telling me no. Pretty sure she’s the manager or owner as well. Anyway, 2 star for the pastries.

The experience to visit the shop is great! The Mascarpone cheese mousse is super fluffy! The design of the shop also impressed me, will difinly come next time!

Definitely prefer this to the other cakes I had while in BC! Would definitely recommend trying their Matcha series out, they have lots of unique flavours!

I'm so surprised that more people haven't tried their high tea! Best high tea I've had in vancouver. Great selection of more Asian influenced savory bites, and their desserts are to die for!

Our family had a great experience! Our server’s name was Honey and she did a great job catering to our table of 8. We tried the Signature Tea Set menu and the food was amazing! Highly recommend.

Came directly into the store and made a preorder of a custom cake for my son's birthday a month ahead sice I was afraid preorder may get lost on phone call. The girl there took my order and wrote down my name and phone number. I thought everything was good until I called them couple days prior to the pick up day to ask for the pick up time. And figured out that there was no preorder made under my name and phone number! How could that happen? I even saw them put down my contact info? And I didn't receive any apology!

Even though price is high, i was thinking the cakes here are worth it and always recommend this place to my friends and family. But with this kind of unprofessional service, i don't think I will ever come back or recommend it to anyone else!

I ordered takeout, really enjoyed the cakes, this quality is hard to come by in North America with all the cupcakes and sponge cakes, reminded me of mousse cakes I was used to when lived in Russia. So glad I came across this pastry shop, definitely coming back. Thank you for all the work you do, it's divine

Had such high hopes for this place! Pastries are beautiful on the pictures, but the selection in-store wasn’t that great (could only choose between two pastries). We ended up getting both and were disappointed with the taste. It wasn’t worth the price in our opinion. I’m sorry.

We attended the location looking to place a larger order, if we liked the pastries that was. Since there were no prices or menu online we decided to check out the location. Unfortunately the staff member behind the counter was completely useless and not informative. They did not know a thing about when the pastries change (weekly or just over apparently), they couldn’t provide a menu or what was available, they literally told us to look down into the glass. We ordered two cakes to try, and it wasn’t until we had the order rung up that they advised there were the same fillings inside one of the cakes.

Presentation was really nice! The cakes looked really good. They tasted weird, the gelatine filling was unexpected. The cake was sitting on a graham cracker that was glued to the cardboard (very weird). The cake was mushy and runny.

We will not be back, not only for the cake but because of the staff member. Not a great representation for the price of the small cakes.

Cute and delicious cakes! A little pricey but that’s from all the hard work the chef put into the cakes. Only lost a star from the Sunset cake being too sour for the fruit part of the cake. Other than that, they have friendly service and the place is nice!

Such a cute place to go. Food is great, the staff is really welcoming as well.

This is an fantastic dessert shop. Great customer service with the high quality of food and high end settings. I really love this store.

Only reviewing the pastry’s displayed here- have not visited the location (these were brought to me by someone that did). On a first look- the pastry’s are intricately designed and outright artistic brilliance. The minimalism tied in with thematic elements made me not want to bite in but rather savor with my eyes. When I did finally indulge, the flavors were good- though a bit subtle for my taste (hence the missing star). There is immense potential in what they can do from an aesthetic angle, but that will remain irrelevant until they have perfected the product within. I’m looking forward to returning to see if any progress is made in this domain.

Everything is amazing, but if you just want to pop in for a treat, depending on the time of day, their in house selection can be very scarce.

We had such an great experience at Yandoux. They have a good selection of tea for their afternoon tea - I enjoyed their caramel one. We ordered the savoury set. The food was delicious. My favourite was the salmon aburi, and the pink gift mousse cake. I loved their presentation. The server was friendly and attentive. Such a cute place. Can’t wait to go back:)

I got two of their Xmas pastries, and they tasted as good as they looked! Both were fresh, flavourful and not too sweet. Come early for the best selection.

So. I’ve been longing to visit this place and I finally had a chance today.and the cake is just. AMAZING! My cakes are a little deformed coz we drove it around for 3 hrs but still tastes absolutely delicious

Cute little shop tucked into Olympic Village. It would be easy to walk right past and assume it’s a run-of-the-mill trendy sweets shop. That would be completely wrong. I tried one of their signature blue clouds and a tiramisu with my partner. Both were absolutely delicious! Both were fresh, light, not too sweet, perfectly balanced. Delightful. The additional fun factor from the blue cloud was it’s texture, mild crunchy shell, and perfectly firm and fluffy mousse. It’s a mindful take on shape and expectations that feels like Alinea’s experiential playful format trickery. This all goes to say, these treats are about leisure time and sitting down for uninterrupted joy among friends who appreciate perfectly hand crafted goods.

The only knock against Yandoux is the price: $21 for these two items was alarming. The quality of ingredients and end product completely justify it (especially during COVID times), but we paused to think if it would be worth it.

It blurs the lines between art and food. The interesting component is their take on high tea. We did not do the set, but based on what we tasted, I feel like it would be a solid bet. Yandoux is best described as high tea at the fairmont, with quality of product that exceeds Thierry or Thomas Haas, with the walk-in-neighborhood accessibility of Beaucoup. AND, dare I say, pretty damn comparable to Beta5. What they’re doing is hitting at a VERY HIGH level.

Didn’t try their coffee/tea/etc, but will definitely be back!

Very disappointed experience.
With this price they can afford to hire smarter people to do such simple management work. Planed a surprise but they kept calling with the same questions 3 times. Ambiguous about their services and business time even when we were at the store they didn’t provide much help.
The heart cake also had a crack in the middle which doesn’t fair well.

Ordered to be ready by 2pm on Saturday, arrived to the store at 3: 20pm, wasn't ready. Had to wait 10+mins and we ended up late for the reservation. I sent them a photo from their website and asked them to make it just like the photo (with flower decoration) but they prepared a cake only, no decoration. At the store, they told me that I have to pay extra $20 to add a decoration, which I would have paid if they told me when I spoke to them twice before I picked it up. Couldn't ask them to do it with flowers as I had a reservation to go.
Taste was just the same as other cakes that I normally buy (~$40 range), $120 is just for a unique design.
Wanted a special cake for the special day, but ended up having a special day with not the cake I wanted.

Very cute cakes. Taste great, better than I expected actually. Light and refreshing, not overly sweet. Recommended.

This Friday morning, I picked up pastries from the store for my mother’s birthday. Their customer service was so amazing! They helped me find the best one for her. I would definitely come back again and I suggest you guys do the same too

Cafe experience was pleasant enough but once I arrived to my event with the cakes - we all tried them and we were generally disappointed. Flavour was bland and texture was not what we expected. They look beautiful though! Very nice presentation.

Beautiful and cute looking cakes, and tastes good, often with different layers and flavours. And not too sweet.

Tried some cute things at Yandoux, the sampler trio and the mango cheesecake. The aesthetic of everything is beautiful and consistent, the flavors could be a little bit more vibrant but everything is tasty. Nothing is too sweet or heavy, you don't feel gross after eating them for sure. A really cool thing they have is a filtered coffee cup lid which they use for loose leaf teas, which of course filters the leaves but also cools the tea a bit as you drink.

Just a note, indoor seating is only for reservations! Just to keep on mind

Actually I wana rate ZERO because of the cashier. When I entered the store, she's like no smile, not greeting, rude, it's like she doesnt wana do anything. Very negative first impression. I will not go again, who like to spend money for bad customer service.

The server who helped me this morning was very helpful and kind. Amazing customer service and well maintained area. The cakes were amazing as well! Will definitely go back again! Do not hesitate to check it out.

A little on the pricy side, but everything we tried was delicious! Not too sweet or rich. The gentleman serving us was super friendly and gave us a rundown on all the pastries they had to offer. They didn’t have a lot left at the end of the night but we all ended up happy with what we chose. Just a few steps away from Science World.

Got the sampler of cakes to try what style of cake they make. Light and delicate cakes (not a heavier, creamer style of cake). They were delicious and I'll be back to try more.

The staff member we talked to was very friendly and informative.
