Booked a cab at 10am for next day 4: 30am on the App. Cab was dispatched immediately. Had to hit the cancel button to stop. Don’t input your credit card on the App. They pre-authorize the charge. And then it takes a while to come off. Naturally I did not pursue a ride with Yellow. Sad outfit.

Called a cab for a work event and said I had two stops to make. After picking up food for our work meeting at first stop, the driver says you took too long and I'm not waiting anymore. He gave me a choice if I need to stop at my 2nd place he was leaving me there. I called the dispatch and she asked me to put it on speaker, she told him you chose this trip knowing there was two additional stops. I went to my office without stopping and paid this incompetent yellow cab driver. The dispatcher had the nerve to say I needed to pay the drive an extra $3 to go in another store! Unbelievable service. My boss has an account with yellow cab and guess what, no longer dealing with them. Later yellow cab treated an Indigenous Elder very poorly who had a taxi voucher, she uses a cane and this driver was yelling at her. Disgusting!

If I could give 0 stars I would - the worst experience ever in a cab on Saturday afternoon cab Y152B. The driver drove like a maniac along Cornwall Avenue (in a 40 km/hour zone) weaving in and out of traffic, honking at and giving the finger to other drivers, did the same on the Burrard St. Bridge, then when turning right off the bridge in the outside lane, went around another car and was in the oncoming traffic lane, sped and woved in and out of traffic again cutting off other drivers and pedestrians, then was yelling at me because he said I changed my mind on where I was going (I told him getting into the cab that he wouldn't be able to get to my address in the westend due to all the traffic closures and told him where he could drop me off instead). Absolutely one of the most dangerous drivers ever. I told him several times I didn't feel safe and he ignored me. Still waiting for a call from "the supervisor"

Great service. The driver was kind, prompt, and a safe driver. Uber called to tell me that “they wouldn’t get me to my destination in time” and I should cancel the ride amd find another option. Yellow Cabs for the win!

The rating is for this specific driver and the service he provided to his passenger at St Pails hospital. Five star service for this driver who assisted his passenger in a wheelchair up the walkway hill to St Paul’s Emergency entrance.

The driver drove the wrong way in a one-way ambulance loop at the hospital when he was dropping me off to Emergency.
Before that, when he has picked me up, he expected me to have a voucher. He then had to pull over to let traffic by in the parking lot to look up the order, then concluded that a voucher was not part of the order.

I don't understand why so many bad reviews. I booked it before reading them and when I read them tbh I considered canceling. Thankfully I did not.
I booked a taxi via their online form to take me early morning the next day to the airport. The driver arrived on time, helped with my luggage and responded to my question about whether the online fee calculation was accurate (because I read a review about them charging way more).
The ride was smooth and I paid actually way less than what was predicted and also quite less than what an uber would have cost me. Recommended

It is so bad, I wanted to give you a 0, but i cannot do that so I give you a 1. This company has and always will have the poorest, subpar service to its clients, and its no wonder uber and lyft is taking them over. In the middle of a really snowy night, their cab came to the wrong address first, then when I tried to call him to check where he was, he repeatedly did not pick up the phone and I had to be redirected to the operator, when he finally came about in freezing temperatures, I asked him to open the boot since my hands were full with things to put in the back, he just yelled "so open it! ". I could not believe how much more they sank in their service given the competition they now have. Called an uber after the driver drove off when I called him out on his behavior, and the uber driver immediately opened the boot for me, helped me put my things in, and got me to my destination with great conversation.

I had a taxi called for me from RavenSong Health care centre and waited 5 hrs for a handicapped wheelchair van after I had been told 20- 40 minutes. I was also asked if Ravensong was paying my fare snd I said no I'm paying for myself. I waited from 2: 15 until 7pm. I am not impressed to say the least. Someone finally showed up at 7pm.

0 stars. My friend gave my cab driver #51 $60 for my ride home from Davie St to Richmond, which was already too much. I was drinking that night and wasn’t aware that my friend paid for me. The driver looped around in circles in my neighborhood and then proceeded to charge me twice for my trip, $45 and $50, which is also a lot more than Uber or Lyft ($25-$30) but I told him that I would pay so that he could let me out of the car as he wouldn’t stop. A total scammer. I hope to get this issue resolved by the company. To be safe I would recommend people to use Uber/Lyft. It’s unfortunate that drivers like this are scamming and creating a worse image for cab drivers in Vancouver.

DO NOT USE YELLOW CAB. Went out for drinks last night in east van, and was planning on taking an Uber home (quoting $30). A friend of mine said getting a cab would be much cheaper, so I tried yellow cab. Turns out for the exact same trip they charged me $80 to get home. Wish I would have ubered.

On average, a very good taxi company. Like any business, they have employees that are kind and give good service n maybe the next moment that same employee or a different one will have a bad moment or day. But overall, I'm satisfied with the service. TY for doing the best you can in the middle of this pandemic.

Honestly the worst service I've ever received in all regards (online app, over the phone, and in person.)

Ive never been treated so poorly by a district manager than the woman at yellow cab's vancouver office. Going there respectfully and only wanting to cooperate I got treated like absolute garbage. I left in tears.

My friend and I just took a taxi ride from one of your drivers. Driver BT38. I'm new to Vancouver but I use your service regularly. This was actually the 5th or 6th time today that I got a ride from one of your drivers and I must say that the language your driver used towards me and my colleague was extremely inappropriate. His attitude was very disrespectful. And it left us both feeling somewhat slighted and disrespected following the ride. He even had the audacity to ask us not once or twice but three times for a larger tip, Even though we had already tipped him. Furthermore he refused to show us the meter. He even told me that I should run for Prime Minister and I highly sarcastic voice. I trust that your staff will have a look at this matter and deal with it accordingly.

The drivers of this cab company hold a compassion and understanding for mankind that is remarkable because they are in the position too see both sides of a person's humanity but despite this they cheer for the better angels of our nature and kindly dismiss our many falterings as we travel through this amazing human expiernce. They seem to find the treasures that is us and shine a light on it for all to see. I am so moved by the tremendous love they hold for people and there ability to forgive and see past our short comings. Thank-you dear servants for your love. I called an yellow cab service vancouver last day. The driver was good. But the customer service assistant was very very very bad and rude. I tried to contact them to give a complaint and they hung up the call twice and was not picking my call after that. Their customer service sucks. I would give zero stars but its not possible!

It's sad that one bad driver turns into two. I called the dispatch and complained.then given a driver after waiting for over a half hour.who drove me in places, not necessary.l have lived in Vancouver for 40 years. It's sad, for all the good driver's, that one bad apple can influence the rest. I'll be taking other choices after yesterday's fiasco.

This company has alot of bad reviews it seems but let me tell you I had the absolute best experience today! My cab driver was literally my knight in shining armour, I wish I had gotten his name so I could give him a shout out! I got kicked out of my new home by an absolute psychopath and had absolutely no idea I was going to move my things! Not only did this amazing man arrive on time, help me carry my things, drive from one place to the other twice, but he listenedto me cry in the car. A real hero! Will always use this company!

POOR COVID PRECAUTIONS - For almost all the cabs I have taken in the past few months (minus 1), the drivers did NOT mask up prior to picking passengers up. This completely defeats the purpose of using a mask at all. One even had the audacity and carelessness to pull down his mask to talk loudly on the phone while driving haphazardly. This is simply UNACCEPTABLE. Please do better, you are causing everyone in Vancouver to be sick. Shame on you.

I was charged whatever the driver decided to charge me. He didn't use the taxi's meter. I called and complained and the customer service representative says the cost of my trip was right to justify the fact that the driver didn't use the meter.

We called them today 25 of Feb and when driver saw the passenger sitting on wheelchair, he run away. Although I told him he can walk just we let him sit. The driver said not with my car any wheelchair and run away.

Not a trustworthy outfit, ordered two cans, one for a wheelchair and one normal. The normal Cab turned up but they said they didn’t have a wheelchair Cab even though they had 90 mins warning, eventually got a second cab but had to transfer my Daughter into a normal cab and collapse wheelchair. In the end two trips paid in advance was billed for three Cabs and they refuse to respond to phone calls or e-mails to refund the overcharge. Have to deal with credit card company now. Disgusting service will never use them again.

Drivers are usually respectful, except for the one time I was quite creepily asked out by a cab driver. Despite declining his offer to dinner, he kept insisting and surly dropped me off at my destination after rejecting his repeated advances. I also don't like their dispatch service. On certain occasions, they don't update you on where your cab is or if they are on their way at all (be warned, the given ETA is usually garbage). One time I waited four hours for a cab to come to my place (I live downtown). I suppose 4/20 is just a very busy holiday.

I booked a cab for 4: 30 p.m. On someone's behalf and received an email at 4: 27 p.m. Saying that my reservation has been cancelled. They didnt provide a reason either. The person was just left stranded.

Bad service, friend and I booked one 1 hour in advance as I had a job interview downtown, taxi never showed up, called again and was told the taxi would be 10 minutes and there was still nothing 30 minutes later. Terrible service, terrible experience.

Pre booked a cab at 12: 00pm for a 3: 30pm pickup. We waited on the curb until 4pm. After a 6 minute wait, I was immediately hung up on for no reason. I then had to wait a further 7 minutes, only to be told that a wheelchair cab wasn’t available for a further 40-60 minutes. PRE BOOKED! So unprofessional and absolute time wasters. Use Maclures.

Really worth 0 stars. Dispatch needs a class on customer service. Consistently rude. Booked a cab an hour in advance on the app, but they dispatched one right away, called in to let them know that I didn’t need one now and that I’d like to make one for an hour from now. Dispatcher said “why would I book one now then, my cab is outside and I need to go give him my money. ”

Left something yesterday in a taxi van from YVR. I reported the incident right away but Dispatch staff is not very helpful and rude. He asked me to call back again today and still the same script to call back again tomorrow. I'm pretty sure they'll say the same thing again tomorrow.

I wish I could leave zero stars. How many 1-star reviews do Vancouverites need to leave before our government starts listening to our needs? Bring Uber and Lyft to our growing city! There is absolutely no reason anyone should have to wait over an hour for terrible service, rude drivers and poorly maintained vehicles! Vancouver is quickly becoming a big city and our services should reflect this growth. The taxi services here are truly atrocious.

I had a HORRIBLE experience in a yellow cab today, the cabbie literally yelled at me in the cab for trying to flag down a different cab while waiting for him.
And continued to argue with me for the entirety of the drive.
Not only that but he was 20 minutes late and I had not heard anything from the cab company. I was on my way to work, and he actually told me I shouldn’t try to grab another cab because it isn’t “fair to him”.
Please explain to me how waiting 15 minutes longer than being quoted, not being given any heads up from the cab company to my phone until after I was already in the cab, being argued with and talked down to by my cabbie, AND STILL being late for my work fair to ME? The actual customer who still had to pay the full cab fare?
Very, very disappointed with cabs and the yellow taxi services lately.
Honestly I would rather take public transit - and at this rate it would probably be faster.
I would give 0/10 if that were possible.

Booked a cab online using the Yellow Cab website over an hour in advance. It didn't arrive on time so I called. They had the booking on file but couldn't even tell me how long it would take. Used eCab instead. Car from another company was there in less than a minute.

I left my iPhone in a yellow cab and contacted dispatch minutes after departing the cab who advised me the driver does not have it despite also claiming nobody has been in the cab since I left.
Anyhoo months later the find my iPhone app pinged to a remote city in India. Just one of my many lovely yellow cab experiences in Vancouver. The day Uber arrives in Vancouver will be the day I finally can stop using this horrible company. Poor service, 30 plus minute waits for a 10 minute ride (you usually end up walking and it’s faster) and sketchy drivers who take weird long routes. Hopefully not too many of these guys end up working for Uber when it launches bc I sure don’t want to get into any cars with a yellow cab driver.

Worst Cab Company i Ever Experience in 9 different Country and more than 70 City. In last December, i took a cab, i was drinking but had All my Head, Travel was $22, i paid with a $100 Bill, Driver Told me he will comeback in Next Morning to Paid me back, HE never came, I called the Company MULTIPLE Time, They Don't Show Any Effort To Help me! They Just doesn't Care. # week Ago, i left My Phone in a cab, A Samsung j7, I called 5min After, they ask me to call back in the next day, I call Back NExt Day They Tell me to Call After 5pm, I call After 5pm, They Said I should Call In Morning. I called and ordered two cabs for a certain time. I was told it would be no problem. When the time came only one cab showed up. When I called (25 minutes later) is they said they would dispatch another. Will do anything I can to book another company and I’am counting the seconds till UBER and LYFT are here.

Saw them HIT A DOG at Main and Georgia this morning. People jumped in front of the taxi to prevent him from fleeing, but he pulled a very dangerous moved and raced away (almost hitting people). Dangerous Drivers & Zero Responsibility, the taxi business needs to be reformed. I'll be contacting the VPD Taxi Team, which by the way is the only way to deal with these types of complaints- highly recommended to contact VPD Taxi Team.

Despite of all the negative comments I booked a yellow cab online. I was informed that the cab was on the way and could even look up its location on the map. The driver was a minute early and did a good job driving me (even if he could have been friendlier). I would definitely book them again.

This Friday Comen home driven up main I drove in to the next lane n this cab y27 was honking his horn n driven after me like a mad man n was driven on the side of my car yelling at me n my 15 month old started crying. Scared. N my wife was very scared then he speeds in front of us n slams the back. I never reported cause dident have phone till today. N if Morgen is bone about this driver I'm gonna go to the cops. Witch I wish I had done

Worst Cab service goin'. They rarely answer and when they do they don't follow basic directions. They arrive either late or early, if early, the driver will leave without notice if you say you ordered for a specific time and you need a couple of minutes. You order 12 hours in advance and They can't make it on time. This Cab service is TERRIBLE and expensive. BRING ON UBER. 0 stars
