Yellow Cab of Victoria

I called my driver, and they left me, they saw me, I waved to them and they left me high and dry, no the driver had no customers when they passed me!

Yellow Cabs customer experience is terrible. Even if you book with the app there is no guarantee that a cab will come within 20 minutes of the scheduled time. Today when I booked a cab on the app, the driver just took another passenger and left me stranded. I strongly suggest finding other transportation options as Yellow Cabs is both unprofessional and unreliable.

I took the Yellow Cab of Victoria upon my arrival as their was a portion of my walk from the Airport to Saanich, which was very dark and too late for buses. The cab service was mediocre. It got me from point A to B. The cab driver was very friendly and helped with my luggage. However, I probably will never take the cab service again as it is extremely expensive.

The service is not reliable. I booked ahead of time.plenty of time, and the app shows driver on the way, after that driver cancelled. One more driver was on the way as per the app and cancelled again. I ended getting late to my appointment by walking because nobody took my booking half hour after the estimated time.
This happen once a month ago, and then I give another try today with the same result. So sad you cannot rely on taxi services around.

I was in Victoria for a week and used yellow cab several times. The drivers were always courteous, the cars clean, and the rides smooth. I will agree, however, it was easier to book a cab using the app than calling as you could be on hold for awhile.

I am not a fan of the automated message, asking if I want to go somewhere where they don't know where I want to go?

Absolutely terrible, half of the time they don't show, I have booked 3 cabs the night before and twice they didn't show causing me to be late for work, super unreliable. Wish I could give it zero stars.

Very unhappy with their service and I didn't even get to talk to a human just an automated system that can't understand plain English and I'm from England. Then you wait for 30 mins for the humans to not pick up, guess they don't want my money

Very unreliable. I always book 2-3 hours ahead, but the last two times, they haven't shown up and I've missed medical appointments. Going to try another company from now on. Not worth the stress.

Called yellow cab and gave them my address. Waited for 30 minutes then got a text saying the cab was outside but there was no one out there. A couple minutes later I got a text saying the cab has been cancelled and to rebook. No one called saying they couldn't find the address or anything

Does not answer phone booked 2 hours ago just keep getting txtsaying on the way. Your app says your are 1 minute away each time.

Worst taxi service ever. I got a confirmed appointment and I waited for almost an hour and no one either called or even show up. I missed an important appointment because of them

DO NOT USE THIS TAXI COMPANY! YELLOW TAXI WILL RUIN YOUR CHRISTMAS! I pre booked ahead for a pick up in the morning to get to the bus depot at a certain time to catch it. Only one bus that leaves in the morning to go up island to connect with family at Christmas. The taxi never came and when I called the automated service kept saying my taxi is in progress and I waiters forever on hold to then get disconnected. Still no taxi, and again on hold forever. With ten minutes left to make bus I decided to drive in the snow. Once I made it late to my bus, found parking for car. The taxi called saying they arrived at my place 35 minutes after booked arrival time. No accountability, just asked me to re-book.
Completely tone def costumer service. PLEASE BRING UBER TO VICTORIA!

Unreliable as I had pre-booked a taxi to the airport but driver never showed up. What happened s the point of offering this service if it can’t be relied on? Deleting this app and will not use again.

I live in Sidney, BC and I have used Yellow Cab a few times to pick me up to drive me home which is usually less than a 10 minute drive. They have always arrived within 5-10 minutes of me calling the cab company. The drivers are polite and extremely reliable. I would highly recommend phoning Yellow Cab if you live in the Sidney or North Saanich area.

Cab driver in cab 241 waited one minute and didn’t call me before driving away as I was walking out. Guess I took to long to put my coat and shoes on.

The only taxi company in Victoria that allowed me to pre-book a ride during December 2022 snow days when most of taxis were running late or not even answering the phone. Super easy to book and the taxi arrived on time.
I believe our driver’s name was Carl (cab 66), he provided an outstanding service and went above and beyond to accommodate our luggage.

A cab driver number 122 picked us up from the Victoria airport at approx 11: 50pm. He parked his car right in the middle of the road. The car behind him honked and he swore at them. He then made a remark about how much luggage we had but continued to load the luggage into the car. Inside the car he asked where we were going. I told him we were going to Sidney and proceeded to tell me rudely how I ruined his night and asked why I didn’t tell him I’m going only a short distance. He continued to to say things like all the other taxis are going downtown and he’s taking me to Sidney. I asked him to pull over and drop me off but he ignored me and continued to the destination.

He is beyond rude, unprofessional and possibly dangerous. He needs to be removed from the road or at the very least as a driver.

I have reached out to yellowcab and requested a follow up.

Cab arrived and I got the text they were here but they literally left before I could make it down the stairs from my apartment poor service

GOD, if I could give zero stars, I would. All cab companies in Victoria are really bad, but I promise you, this one is the worst. Limit a safety hazard as in, they’ll let you wait for 45 minutes, just to never show up at all. Good luck if you’re waiting in the cold. They’re the most unreliable company I’ve ever had to deal with (I’ve dealt with them too many times than I’d like to admit). They’re exhausting to deal with. Highly suggest you try any other cab company, or even transit before you contact them at all.

I'm driving towards Sidney in the pouring rain on Christmas Eve behind Yellow Cab 261. No lights on so flashed my lights behind him pull up beside him to honk the horn and the next thing I know he's driving very aggressively cut in front of me and was driving like a jerk at 110 kms and faster. Rain like a river I front of me. I was behind and finally got the number of his van taxi. Tried to call the Company but no answer. The guy driving will hurt someone ; driving the way he did for no reason just to be a goof and he will have or cause an accident because he doesn't care about anyone on the road but himself, probably didn't like a woman telling him his lights were out.

Sat on hold over 45 minutes and no one took my call. If you're looking for a quick service this is not the place

The cab was over 1 hour late with no notice that they’d be late. We missed our bus to the ferry as a result

Mix experience, some were awesome and didn't take me for a sight seeing tour, others did and weren't so nice

I like this company. Drivers are sincere and honest. On the blizzard day a taxi's tires didn't move in the snow and we and our neighborhood pushed behind the car together:)
