A group of 11 us were in on 11-10-23 on the Friday and had the most wonderful time. Most of us have known each other since Elementary school and of course High school.

Some of us hadn't seen each other in over 30 years, so all the memories and stories come flying back. We all Graduated together from Port Moody Senior Secondary School in 1987.

So we've been getting a group of us together of late, because we're not getting any younger as I've been telling them all. So the group is starting to get bigger and bigger now. Some come all the way from the Cayman Islands and Australia now.

We were a very close group of friends that always had each other's backs and always did things together.

Some in the pictures met in high school and got Married and still together today. Not many people who met in high school can say that.

Anyways long winded I know, but what better place to get together than a great local place in Port Moody than Yellow Dog Brewery

Summer weekends get very busy but I came on a weekday and it was quiet. They have decor that fits their theme. They've embraced the industrial look! The place is kept pretty clean and tidy.

Most beers they have on tap are brewed in house and they have a good selection (like sours, IPAs, pale ale, etc.).

They've got an outdoor area in the back which I prefer over the front patios of other breweries along the strip. It's a bit more private. Though there is a train that runs in the back pretty frequently which can be loud and annoying if you're having a conversation.

Would recommend overall.

Yellow dog beer is my go to beer when I’m in a pub.
All menu is reliable, the atmosphere also recommendable.

Absolutely disgusted by the way 3 of your works, 2 being managers, treated a paying customer who had a medical exemption for not wearing a mask to walk to the bathroom. Also he was disrespected after trying to show the medical information and the law for medically exempted persons. You all should be ashamed of yourself! Definitely would not recommend anyone to come here.

Have been going to yellow dog since they opened. Great location on brewers row, always a yummy selection of food trucks. Great patio, and good vibes!

Saturday afternoon, short wait to get inside. Ordered a couple flights and a couple ciders. Everything was delicious!
We also came with my son and the server was super sweet with him, they have some fun flavoured non-alcoholic drinks as well!

One of my favourite breweries. Loved the seats at the back. You can bring outside food and enjoy their always excellent brews

I really like Yellow Dogs beers but the service was terrible, they mistreat their customers and act high and mighty while doing it. Unfortunately I will not be returning or buying their beers in the future.

Enjoyed the patio and tasted some new beer. They keep their selection fresh and staff are very nice. Always a great time. Thank you Cheers

Always the best Hazy IPA. (HIGH 5)

Wish they had sours, the Special Effects needs to be a core beer! But other than that this definitely won't be my last visit!

Ben was my server and he was very accommodating and had great product knowledge when I asked him about the different options. Beer was great, overall awesome experience!

Several of their beers are fantastic. My favourite is the High 5 hazy IPA. It's one of the best I've ever had. I don't know what they put in it but it's very special. I highly recommend it!

This place was a shocker, wasn't expecting to love it the way I did! Had a flight and they were all fantasic beers! And I love the rustic look theyve got going on, feels homey:)

Manager was absolutely awful to us. My girlfriend pulled down her mask at the front door waiting area and ate a French fry from the food truck.

Manager came out all aggressive saying we had to eat outside (were talking one second pull down and French fry bit). We said to her she didn’t need to be so rude as hospitality is built around customer service. Then she told us there was no way we would even get in. So not only was she rude, there was no chance of us getting in the place anyway. This place will forever be boycotted. What a terrible experience.

I have never been treated so poorly by a waitress/hostess in my whole life. Never go there your money should be spent enjoying your evening. Simply unbelievable.

Friendly and professional staff here. I have ordered merchandise on-line from the Brewery and it has arrived quickly (amazing for present times). They are a pleasure to deal with and l look forward to more purchases in the future!

Yellow Dog was the first brewery in Port Moody I've ever visited, and since then, it grew into a very well-recognized brand. I think they did an outstanding job establishing their presence across the Lower Mainland's liquor stores early in their history, thus, gaining good exposure. But that success is definitely backed up by the very well-crafted brews they offer. I'd take their Play Dead IPA and Squirrel Chaser HPA any day. Simply outstanding. They also have very cool collabs with other breweries, so guest taps are something to look out for as well.  Great people, great beer, great place.

Good selection of beers and fun atmosphere. I liked the live music but haven’t been in awhile I’m guessing it’s not happening because of covid. Love this place

Their Hazy IPA is my favourite beer. Great ambiance and outside rear patio. Go visit and wander the rest of Brewers Row. Make an evening of it!

Seems like they were a touch under staffed as the server was overwhelmed. Beers we're great! Maybe add some heaters or fire pits to the patio? !

Picked up a 4 pack of the play dead ipa at co-op liquor store in Calgary and. Wow! What a great ipa! Just what I was looking for, hoppy with a great, slightly bitter finish. Reminds me a lot of lone wolf ipa from Fernie brewing only better! Keep up the great work!

Recently visited Yellow Dog Brewery this past weekend and was comfortable with their setup. They ensured they did not crowd the place and had people spread out.

Standing service, from the hostess to the most friendly server. The beer and cedar were great, we are definitely going back.

In spite of being named Yellow Dog, this is the most dog unfriendly brewery in the area. I've brought lots of people here who dislike dogs and initially balked at the idea of going to a brewery named after one.

They've got the biggest and best tasting room, and the best patio of any other brewery in the area. And sometimes there's love music. There's also a really good pizza truck that parks in front of here and sells the perfect pizza to go with a cold beer.

Cool place, friendly atmosphere. I enjoyed the flights. I will come back to try the rest of the beers.

I have been a regular for over 2 years. It is one of my favourite spots in Port Moody. Staff is always friendly, beer is delicious, and the community of Yellow Dog and the rest of the breweries is awesome.

Quite large brewery offering lots of room inside which could easily accommodate large groups.
Besides the sizable and ever changing selection of great beer, there's also lots of merchandise of that's your thing.
Being a dog oriented brewery, there's some dog collars and toys available for purchase too.

Great selection of beer! The venue is spacious with lots of seating space, and the decorations really give out a great vibe. The patio at the back is comfortable for some beers outside on a sunny day. The staff is really attentive and knowledgeable of its beer, which is definitely some of the best in Port Moody. If you are on the main strip, don’t miss out on Yellow Dog!

Fantastic beer selection - the High 5 Hazy IPA is one of the best I've had.

The tasting room gets really busy as they have a 110 person capacity in the main room. Service was incredibly friendly - from the bar service to the the folks at the front, monitoring capacity.

They have light snacks available for purchase at the bar (chips, jerky, baked good). However, for something heartier, there were two food trucks (Mexican and pizza) out front where you can bring into the tasting room at your leisure.

There are a few board games available to play near the self-serve water station.

There's one washroom near the entrance and two more just around the corner (to the right when you enter).

Walkable distance to and from the Moody Centre Skytrain station.

I really like their tap room and the fact that they have a space for kids and dogs in the back. However, I was really looking forward to some mind-blowing flavours on their beer and was slightly disappointed by their smoked coconut porter (as porters and stouts are my kryptonite).

Their other brews were decent, but nothing mind-blowing for me. I'd much prefer Twin Sails next door, although just because it doesn't strike my taste palette doesn't mean it won't strike yours!

Don't miss this one, and definitely get a taster flight to sample what you may like. Maybe if you're big into porters and stouts and want a load of smokey or coconut flavour.don't get the porter.

Very good beer but I would be happy to see a bit more balanced variety. I enjoy lagers, pilsner, or a good kolsch and out of these I believe there is only one lager. Other than that, great atmosphere!

Great atmosphere. Location is fantastic, close to public transit and there are food trucks on location so you’re covered, no need to drive. Their beer is very good too!

Great quality beer, right in the thick of it all. The interior has changed since the beginning, and it's really beautiful inside. They have a number of offerings that are in the IPA family, a porter, a wit, and a pils. They may not be the most adventurous, but what they do, they do well.

Location-wise, it's perfect. Sitting across from rocky point park. A Few steps away from rocky point icecream and fish and chips and ofcourse the famous pier with the boatbouse.

I love this brewery because it was the very first one to come in in the area and they have stayed extremely loyal and loving to their customers and take them thru the same adventures as they used to. Always pushing their boundaries-both physically in terms of their expansion as well as their creativity in terms of new beer flavours. Staff are friendly and don't be shy to ask for tasters so you can find the perfect beer for you.

Great to go brewery hopping in this neighbourhood.
Start from moody ale, then parkside, on to yellowdog and end it with twin sails. If you really want to push it to the home base though, hit up mariner brewery on your way and try thwir blueberry beer as it is PHENOMENAL

Great beers and casual relaxed atmosphere in the brewery. We spent a few hours sampling beers and talking here on a sunny afternoon. The place was very busy but didn't seem too crowded. The back yard area was full otherwise we would have sat out there. Inside it was quite warm and may get too hot in the summer.

Great space, great location! Super friendly staff. Great beer selection learning more towards standard lineup. Live music Wednesdays and a nice little outdoor space to drink your delicious fresh beer!

Truly enjoyed drinking beer here. It was amazing! I tried the sampler and had to get second round of ipas before heading out. When in Port Moody, please check it out!

Tattoo girl needs to never cross the line with dropping the f* bomb. She was kicking me out as there were at the limit. Please have a discussion with her on speaking in public with customers.

The beer here is awesome. The sours are especially good. The port moody brewery lane is a great way to spend an afternoon on a nice day.

Great selection of beers and ok atmosphere - open warehouse amplifies the sound, super loud at times.its unfortunate how you have to wait in line for like 30-45mins to get a table. It'll be nice if you can put down your name/# and the'll call/text you when a table is ready.
